Central Board of Secondary Education will make available editing and correction in JEE Main 2017 application form from January 25 to February 3. All registered candidates can edit or make corrections/changes in their details/particulars in the application form of JEE Main 2017, according to the latest announcement by CBSE officials.
While making corrections in the JEE Main 2017 application form, the applicants have to pay additional fee (if applicable). They can pay the additional fee through credit/debit card/E-wallet (SBI buddy/Paytm) or through e-challan generated during the online correction by cash in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank from January 25 to February 4, 2017.
However, if some candidates want to change the mode of examination from computer based (online) to pen & paper based (offline) exam, that in not permitted. All candidates are advised to make all the corrections and changes before the last date (February 3), as CBSE will not entertain any changes under any circumstances once the last date is over.
Also, while making corrections in the application form, it’s important that the applicants cross-check all the particulars and ensure that all information is correct to the best of their knowledge.
Earlier, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had extended the last date for JEE Main 2017 application form till January 16, 2017 (11:59 pm). According to the revised dates, aspiring candidates can however, pay the application fee till January 17, 2017 (11.59 pm).
JEE Main 2017 will be conducted on April 2, 8 and 9, 2017. The entrance exam in offline mode will be conducted on April 2, while the online mode will be held on April 8 and 9. Paper 2 of JEE Main 2017, which is conducted for admissions to B. Arch and B. Planning programmes will be held in offline mode only on April 2, 2017. For admission year 2017-18, CBSE has introduced a new eligibility criteria wherein the candidates are required to fill Aadhaar Card number in the application form of JEE Main 2017.
Over 12 lakh candidates appear in the national level engineering entrance exam every year for admissions to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.
