JEE Advanced 2018 registration fee may increase after GST
According to media reports the registration fee for JEE Advanced is expected to increase after GST is added. IIT Kanpur, the body which will conduct JEE Advanced 2018 has reportedly stated that candidates who will be appearing for JEE Advanced might have to pay more at the time of registration for JEE Advanced 2018 as GST will be added. The JEE Advanced 2018 entrance exam will be conducted in online mode on May 20, 2018.

The new fee for the application form of JEE Advanced 2018 for different categories and gender, if it comes into force is given below:

In 2017, candidates belonging to the general category had to pay Rs 2400 for application form of JEE Advanced 2018, while those belonging to SC, ST and differently abled and female candidates belonging to any category had to pay Rs 1200.
Important Dates for JEE Advanced application form 2018
The application form of JEE Advanced 2018 will tentatively be available for registration from last week of April 2018 till first week of May 2018. All the candidates who qualify the JEE Main 2018, they will be able to register themselves in online mode when the registration window opens for JEE Advanced.

What’s New in JEE Advanced 2018
It is for the first time that JEE Advanced 2018 will be held in online mode
Four Thousand more candidates will be able to appear for the JEE Advanced 2018 as compared 2017. In 2018, all the candidates who are among the top 2,24,000 (including all categories) will be eligible to appear for the online exam. In 2017, 2,20,000 candidates had qualified the JEE Main 2018.

how josaa counseling will happen after jee advance
Instead of thinking what will happen in JOSAA that too after JEE Adv, think what will happen if you dont even qualify JEE Main. (LOL)
On a serious note, JOSAA is a very simple counselling procedure, where after registration you need to set your preference according to your rank and are allotted seat accordingly in subsequent rounds of counselling.

can we use calculator in jee mains and jee advance exam?

Calculators will not be allowed for JEE Main and advanced . The authorities have prohibited the use of calculators or any other electronic devices i n the exam centre .

No it is not necessary to be in top 2.5 Lakh rank holders but yes the cut-off percentile are decided in the way so that only around 2.5 Lakhs to 2.7 Lakhs candidates get eligible to sit for JEE-Advance. See the qualifying cut-off percentiles which needs to be cleared by any candidate to sit in JEE-Advance is released along with the final result of JEE-Main and for JEE-Main 2021 the final result will be released after all four attempts will be completed and the final result will be on the basis of your best score amongst different attempts. After jee advanced results are declared, the josaa counselling process starts. Those who have cracked jee advanced are eligible for admissions in iit/nit/iiit/gfti and those who have only cracked jee mains are eligible for admission in ni/iiit/gfti. Students can also apply to various other counselling procedures that take admission on the basis of jee mains or jee advanced. In the counselling procedure students are allotted the colleges according to their ranks and then they make take admission in any one college out of the given choices.
