IIT Kanpur has released the JEE Advanced 2018 mock test on December 19 for the computer based entrance exam to be held on May 20. This is the first time the JEE Advanced exam will be held online. The objective of the JEE Advanced mock test is to familiarize the candidates with the Computer Based Test (CBT) environment of the exam. Candidates may use the mock test to get acclimatized with the JEE Advanced CBT format. IIT Kanpur has announced the usage of the previous year questions in the JEE Advanced Mock test announced. Candidates are advised that the mock test is not indicative of the exam pattern and that the pattern may vary for the actual exam. Candidates may read on to know more.
With the help of the JEE Advanced mock test 2018, candidates will be able to acclimatise themselves to the number of questions that will be asked in each section, the duration of the exam, how they can move between different sections, whether they have the option to go back to any section or not.

Key Points Related to JEE Advanced 2018 Mock Exam
Mode of the JEE Advanced Mock test 2018- Candidates will be able to attempt the mock exam only in computer based mode
Log In- In order to take the Mock test for JEE Advanced 2018, candidates do not necessarily need any log in details and will have to merely click on the “ sign in” button to take the mock exam
Language of the Test-Candidates- Candidates will have to select the language of the JEE Advanced 2018 mock test. It is available in English and Hindi
Sections in JEE Advanced 2018 Mock Test- The JEE Advanced 2018 mock test will be divided into three sections for each subject and candidates can move back and forth to each section while answering the questions
Number Of Questions- 20 questions in each subject for a total of 80 marks
Timer- On top right-hand corner, a watch will be ticking indicating the time that is left left for the exam to be over. The total time given is 180 minutes
Selecting a specific question- Candidates can answer a particular question by merely clicking on its corresponding number.
Steps to take the JEE Advanced Mock Test 2018
Log in- Candidates will have to go on the JEE Advanced 2018 website and will have to merely click on the tab for JEE Advanced 2018 mock test
Start the Mock Test- No separate login credentials are needed to take the JEE Advanced 2018 mock test and immediately after signing in candidates can start taking the mock test
