The Institute of Chemical Technology has announced the admissions to the Undergraduate programmes through the MT CET 2013 or JEE Main 2013. Admissions to the M.Tech programmes will be on the basis of valid GATE scores.


ICT B.Tech/M.Tech 2013 Programmes and Eligibility:

1. Undergraduate:

  • Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (B.Chem.Engg.)
  • Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in
    Dyestuff Technology
    Fibres and Textiles  Processing Technology
    Food Engineering and Technology  
    Oils, Oleochemicals and Surfactants Technology
    Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology
    Polymer Engineering and Technology
    Surface Coating Technology


Seat Allotment Criteria:

  • For Candidates of MT CET 2013: 70% of the seats on the MT CET 2013 scores
  • For Candidates of JEE Main 2013: 30% of the seats on the basis of All India merit ranks


Eligibility:

  • A candidate should have passed the HSSC/Std.XII from the Maharashtra State Board or any equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.
  • Students must have passed the exam in the first attempt.

Eligibility: The candidate must have a Master's degree examination in Civil/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial/ Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST)).

Note: Candidates who have qualified in the NET/ GATE/ GPAT/ CSIR/ DBT/ - JRF examinations or other equivalent examinations with valid fellowship will be given preference.

In Person: Students can obtain the Application with the brochure at the university counter by paying the following application fee in cash
Application fees by hand:

  • UG Courses: Rs.900 (SC/ST Rs.450)
  • PG Courses: Rs.1000 (SC/ST Rs.500)

: Students can request for the Application form and the Brochure by post by sending a Pay Order or DD on any any Nationalized/ Scheduled/ Private Sector Commercial Bank drawn in favour of ''Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai'', payable at Mumbai

As far as future is concerned, I can recommend you to go with IT. but more preferred will be to go for CS. IT and CS almost go hand to hand. Both have mostly same placements and kind of similar jobs with little difference. Why m telling you this is because the future is going to get more technological, more machine dependent and you can access everything of that through programming... Which you can learn in these 2 branches.

What was the last year cutoff for Maharashtra students

Hey there

ICT Mumbai takes students from JEE mains and since the cutoff of jee mains varies each year they have all india merit rank and it is different for different branches.

Most popular branch of the college is chemical engineering and the cutoff rank in 4th round was 785. For food engineering and technology it was 1239. For dyestuff technology it was 3159. These were for 2018 in all India merit rank.
