Ms. Frédérique Vidal, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Govt. of France, inaugurated the Indo-French Centre of Excellence on Electricity, Automation and Energy, at New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore, on March 12. The centre was built in collaboration with Schneider Electric. The inauguration event took place in the presence of Dr. Mohan Manghnani, Chairman, New Horizon Educational Institution and Mr. Srinivas Chebbi, President-Partner Projects and Eco-Buildings, Schneider Electric India Pvt Ltd.
On the sidelines of the event, a “Partnership Agreement” was also signed between Cluster President of CMQ3E (High Schools, Higher Educational Institutions, companies, and other Public, Private Institutions), Rouen-France and New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore. The agreement is part of the plan to strengthen the overall education systems and processes for both teachers and students. The partnership also aims to set up an incubation centre at New Horizon College of Engineering campus in the field of electricity, automation and energy. The incubation centre will impart industrial training to the engineering students to create a large reservoir of highly qualified manpower in all related fields.
