GATE 2018 has started today – February 3. Online tests for 8 papers will be held today in two sessions – forenoon and afternoon. Mechanical engineering will be held in both sessions today. The rest of the 15 papers will be held on February 4, 10 & 11, 2018. Candidates must carry a colour printout of their admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam centre in order to appear for GATE. The exam instructions have been printed on the admit card which will be available for download till the last day of the exam which is February 11, 2018. Check the details below.
IIT Guwahati is conducting GATE 2018. It has issued instructions to candidates about the admit card to be carried to the exam hall. These instructions specifically mention that “Softcopy of Admit Card in Mobile Phones will not accepted for verification at the examination centre. Candidates must bring a printout of the Admit Card (preferably in colour) along with Original Photo ID”.
The admit card of GATE 2018 was available from January 4 onwards and can be downloaded by all candidates till February 11, 2018 which is the last date for the exam. Candidates may note that the admit card will be required for M.Tech admissions or PSU recruitment through GATE. Hence a copy should be kept safe by all candidates till three years which is the validity of the GATE score.
