IIT Guwahati has released the admit card of GATE 2018. All registered candidates will now be able to download and print out their admit card. GATE 2018 admit card is available in online mode and consists of the information related to the examination date and venue of the candidates. Candidates will be required to keep the GATE 2018 admit card safely and present it at the examination centre. Without the admit card, the candidates will not be allowed to enter the venue where the GATE exam will be held. The admit card of GATE 2018 has been released a day earlier as it was scheduled to be published tomorrow i.e., January 5, 2018.

Steps to Download GATE Admit Card 2018

The registered candidates will be able to download their admit card by following the given steps:

  • To access the GATE 2018 Admit Card – Click Here

  • The candidates will have to enter their GATE 2018 enrollment ID and password.

  • Click on “Submit” button

  • GATE 2018 admit card will be displayed on the screen

  • Using the link, the candidates will have to download the admit card

  • After checking for discrepancies, the candidates will have to print out their GATE admit card in colour in A4 size paper.

GATE 2018 admit card offers information regarding the examination date, timings and venue to the candidates. Before downloading, the candidates will have to check if all of the details are legible or not. The signature and photograph of the candidates should also be clear on the admit card.


Along with the admit card of GATE 2018, the candidates should carry their original photo identification to the examination centre. The following list consists of the photo identification which will be allowed by the authorities:

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Passport

  • Voter ID

  • PAN Card

  • Employee Identification

  • Valid College ID

  • Driving License

Some Guidelines for GATE 2018 Examination

  • All of the candidates should arrive at the examination venue at least 60 minutes before the start of the exam.

  • The admit card of GATE 2018 and identification proof has to be presented at the venue.

  • The candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the examination ends.

  • Personal calculators, mobile phones or any other electronic devices will not be allowed inside the examination venue.

  • Scribble pads will be offered to the candidates for all rough work.

GATE 2018 will be conducted on February 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2018 for those candidates who wish for M.Tech admissions or PSU recruitments. The examination will be 3 hours long and designed to test the following abilities of the candidates - recall, comprehension, application, analysis and synthesis.

NTA has released the official syllabus for JEE Mains on September 2. Paper 1 will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Paper 2 for B.Arch. will consist of Mathematics, General aptitude and Drawing section whereas B.Plan. will have Mathematics, General aptitude and Planning.

IIT kharagpur admission based on gate score (70% ) and personal interview (30%). In Last year, The opening score of  GATE for Department of electrical engineering are as:-

EE1 Machine Drives and Power Electronics (MDPE) -776.8

•EE2 Control System Engineering (CSE)- 763.8

•EE3 Power and Energy Systems (PES)-746.5

•EE4 Instrumentation and Signal Processing (ISP)- 776.4

PSUs release official notification for recruitment through GATE in their respective official website.You must first fulfil the eligibility criteria and have valid GATE course.You need to apply as per instruction by filling the application form.The information regarding the exam dates, results will be displayed on their website.You need to appear for written exam, shortlisted candidates will be selected for group discussion and Personal interview. If you clear all the levels you will be recruited.
