Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has released the application form of MHT CET 2018 in online mode on January 18. Aspiring candidates, who wish to take the state level engineering entrance test, can fill MHT CET application form 2018 till March 25, 2018 (without late fee). Apart from the availability of online application form of MHT CET 2018, the exam conducting authority has also declared important dates of other events of the entrance test.

As per DTE Maharshtra official notification, after the last date of application filling without late fee, candidates can also fill the application with a late fee of Rs. 500 from March 26 to 31, 2018. The hall ticket or admit card of MHT CET 2018 will be available in online mode from April 24 to May 10, 2018, while the entrance exam – MHT CET 2018 will be held on May 10. The entrance test for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes across the participating institutes will be held in multiple exam centres across 36 cities of Maharashtra.
The result for candidates appearing in the entrance test will be declared in online mode on or before June 3, 2018.
For admission year 2018-19, DTE Maharashtra has raised the difficulty level of MHT CET to that of JEE Main 2018. Earlier, Careers360 had reported that in MHT CET 2018 test, 20% weightage will be given to class XI syllabus, while 80% weightage will be given to class XII syllabus. So, candidates are advised to prepare for MHT CET 2018 according to the new changes and weightage given to class 11th and 12th syllabus.
Every year, over 4 lakh candidates appear in MHT CET for admission to B.E./B.Tech, B.Pharma, D.Pharma, BSc. (Honours) and B.Tech courses in Agriculture. Out the total registered candidates for al programmes, last year, as many as 2,84,239 candidates had applied for engineering paper. While actually, only 2,83,000 candidates had taken the test for admission to around 1,38,741 engineering seats in the state.
