IITs propose to increase seat intake by 460 from 2017
Students who are aiming to make their way to the coveted Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have a reason to cheer as it has been proposed to increase the number of seats in the IITs to 460 from academic session 2017-18. Currently, the proposal for increasing the intake of seats has been sent by the new IITs like Bhubaneshwar, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Jammu, Mandi, Patna and Ropar to their respective senates and the Joint Entrance Examination Board.
According to the officials, the final announcement will be made only after the senates give a go ahead to the proposal. Y. Udaykumar, co-ordinator of the Joint Seat-Allocation Authority (JoSAA) of the IITs and the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) stated that the proposal for increasing the number of seats indicates that the IITs have been able to bring about significant improvement in their infrastructure. This will help in accommodating more students.
JoSAA is the body that is responsible for counselling of the candidates who will clear the JEE Main 2017 and JEE Advanced 2017. With the proposal for adding 460 seats to IITs, the total number will rise to 11, 032 for academic year 2017-2018. Candidates are admitted to the IITs and NITs on the basis of their JEE Advanced 2017 rank.
Presently, the older IITS have not called for an increase in the number of seats owing to a lack of space. On the other hand, IITs at Tirupati, Goa and Dharwad are operating from rented campuses and hence they have not been able to increase their strength of students.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, one of the IIT officials who attended the meeting of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), earlier in February 2017, mentioned that the HRD ministry had given green signal for closing or suspending some of the courses which are not so popular among the students and for which, the seats remain vacant every year. A directive was issued by the HRD ministry to all the technically funded central institutes to review their seat intake for admission to the bachelor of technology (B.Tech) courses. All those institutes which participate in the joint counselling were asked to make an assessment of the seat intake depending on the infrastructure, national requirement, strength of the faculty, empty seats as well as employment opportunities.
Meanwhile, the ministry has emphasised that the new disciplines will be introduced only after a comprehensive analysis is taken into account with regard to higher education and research, market opportunity. The respective institutes may also explore the option of reducing the seats to B.Tech courses on the basis of lab infrastructure, availability of the hostel and the faculty strength.

can i change school in class 10 to dummy for going to caoching for ntse and iit jee if lready registered in orther school in class 9
OPTION 1 : Yes , you can change your school in class 10 and can opt for dummy classes , if you want to have an extensive preparation in your JEE or any other competitive exam and need to focus more on coaching materials .
OPTION 2 : Or the other option would be that you can also go to coaching institutes and to your school simultaneously and also focus on your competitive exams like ntse or jee . That will be hectic and tiring after all , but ,In that way , you can challenge yourself for a better good and make a better version of yourself everyday.
So the choice is yours , you can choose form any of the two above options .
Good luck , I hope that this will help.

JEE advance syllabus 2023 Kya changes hai
As per my observation there are not many big changes in JEE-Advance syllabus for the year 2023.
More of detailing has been added to the syllabus like previously Carnot engine was not there in the syllabus, now it has been added.
More or else the topics that have been mentioned now were already been taught in the class but the teachers. In maths, the major changes include, solution of triangle has been removed, statistics has been added and harmonic progression has been removed.
In chemistry environmental chemistry has been added and more inorganic compounds has been added, rest all detailing.
In physics Carnot engine and some other topics in optics has been added like polarization.
Electromagnetic waves has been added as a chapter.
More or less now Jee main and JEE-Advance syllabus are same now.
Hope this helps
