Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) will conduct Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET) 2018 on May 13 across the country. In an official announcement made on November 15, the COMEDK officials have declared that the entrance test will be held in online mode for admission B.Tech/B.E. programmes across the participating institutes. However, apart from the examination date, the consortium has not released any other date related to other events of the exam.
Other dates of various events of COMEDK UGET 2018 will be announced in the due course. The application form of COMEDK UGET 2018 is expected to be available in the second week of February 2018.
Aspiring candidates, who wish to seek admission in the participating institutes through COMEDK UGET 2018, must have scored 45% aggregate marks (General Category) and 40% (Reserved Category) in II PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary/equivalent exam recognised by state/central government. The candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects in the last 2 years of study.

COMEDK UGET 2018 will be held for a total duration of 3 hours, out of which Physics and Chemistry paper (combined) will be allotted 2 hours, while Mathematics paper will be held separately for 1 hour. The question paper will have objective type/multiple choice questions wherein the candidates have to choose 1 correct answer option out of the 4 answer options. The questions in the entrance test will be based on the syllabus of 10+2/ 12th std./ 2nd PUC. Thus, candidates must prepare for the test on the syllabus of the same.

While it’s important to check the syllabus of COMEDK UGET 2018, candidates must also know about the exam pattern of the entrance test to have a grip over the paper. COMEDK UGET 2018 will carry a total of 180 questions wherein each section (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) will have 60 questions each. Each correct answer will fetch 1 mark for the test takers, while 0 for every unattempted question.
