Chennai Institute of Technology commences admission process for 2018-19
The application form for admissions into the B.E courses offered by Chennai Institute of Technology is now available. Candidates will have to fill and submit the application form before the final date to be registered for the admission process. Chennai Institute of Technology is affiliated to Anna University and candidates will be provided admission based on their performance in TNEA and 12th standard merit. The institute currently offers 6 B.E courses for eligible candidates.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission
The candidates will have to meet the following eligibility criteria for admissions into the B.E courses offered by Chennai Institute of Technology:
Should have completed their 10+2th standard qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The candidates should have secured 50% aggregate marks (45% for BC and 40% for SC/ST category) in PCM of 10+2th standard qualifying exam.
The candidates should meet the counselling guidelines of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA).
Application Process
The application form for B.E. admissions into Chennai Institute of Technology is now available in online mode. The candidates will have to register themselves to participate in the admission process. All personal and academic details submitted must be valid in nature.
Selection Process
The registered candidates will be shortlisted according to their performance in TNEA.
Those candidates who meet the TNEA requirements will be provided admissions after verification of original documents.

How is IT department (Information Technology) in CIT , Chennai ???

CIT commonly known as chennai Institute of technology which was established in 2010 and is approved by UGC, AICTE, NBA respectively. They have a good infrastructure and have well qualified professors in IT branch as well. As per fee structure they have total fees in around 2 lakh. As per placement side they have an average CTC package in around 4.2LPA and highest CTC package of 22LPA .
So as if you want to persue your IT degree here then you can go for this college.

- INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, BOMBAY - the cut off was 400 .

Ratio for CSE is most likely boys: girls= 1/3 : 2/3. Girls mostly attempt for technical branch or core branch so it have comparatively more girls strength to non-technical branch like chemical engineering, civil, ME, food technology.
it may vary by some factor every year. Girls ratio will increase in coming days

Hostel facility is good. They provide High quality and hygenic environment for safe stay of students. They provide individual cot, study table and other essential needs.
They also provide place for sports and research work. Study room with good network wifi is given. for big room , they might accomodate 2-3 students. for small rooms , one student.
