Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali is good but not the best college for pursuing B.Tech in CSE. This is a private college and also affiliated to IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.
A college is marked good or bad by its placements and education environment only. Here, you will get a good environment to study but the placements are good only as last year's placement percentage was around 73% only. That was a decent placement score but can't be announced as the best.
Course fee is INR 3.48 Lakhs with 240 seats.
Now, you decide yourself if it is best for CSE or not.

Well dear no doubt CSE has got the maximum placements in any college ,also your placements depends completely on your overall performance, gpa, techinical skill , soft skills etc and not on which college you select.
So,you can go for any of them and give your best to bag the highest possible package from it.
Hope this was helpful!
All the best!
Keep Smiling :)
Chandigarh University has good reviews and ratings. Students have shared their experience is a world class. On the part of placement, the college is performing good and it is increasing every year. On an average the salary is 5 lpa and will do good ahead also as it is a university more companies will come for sure in coming days.
Chandigarh group of colleges also performs well and provides best facilities to the students. The teachers and service given is best to its level. Placement is also good.
Join as per it is suitable to you. On the part of salary, the more good skill you have you will get a good job. People get better jobs than IIT students too because they have skills to prove that they can do extra ordinary work and more efficient what an IIT student also can't do.
It all depends on skills and qualifications are bar to screen out candidates.
Hope it helps!
In CGC(CEC) the admission for btech are based on JEE Main exam and for mtech GATE qualifying is necessary.
So there is no own entrance test. As you do in your jee main in that basis you have your trades. In case of easy or tough no exam is tough if you know the smart works in case of studies like self study and video learning process.
So try to give your best.
