AEEE 2016 Computer Based Test (CBT) has begun on April 17, 2016 for students seeking admissions to undergraduate engineering courses available at Amrita University. The Computer Based Test (CBT) is being held across 67 cities in the country. AEEE 2016 is being conducted in CBT mode from April 17 to April 19, 2016 in different cities of India. Amrita University will also conduct AEEE 2016 in offline mode on April 23, 2016 (from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm) across 36 cities of India. All candidates must be present at AEEE 2016 examination centres 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
There are a total of 100 questions for a total of 300 marks in AEEE 2016 computer based test, while the exam duration is 2:30 hours. These 100 questions will be divided in three sections -Mathematics (40 questions), Physics (30) and Chemistry (30). Each correct answer will be awarded 3 marks, while for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
Aspiring candidates must ensure that they have basic knowledge of computer (use of key board and mouse) before appearing for AEEE 2016. For CBT mode of AEEE 2016, the examinees were allotted a computer which was connected to the server.
AEEE is a national level exam conducted by Amrita University for admission to 4 year B.Tech. Degree programmes offered by its three campuses at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore. Online registration for the exam had started from November 2, 2016 and closed on March 30, 2016.
In 2015, Amrita University conducted AEEE in CBT mode for the first time across 97 centres of India. Around 35,000 candidates appeared for the exam last year.

according to students review I would suggest you to go for VIT , as vit has excellent academic curriculum, it gives the freedom to student to select the additional subject every year as per their choices , also vit has lots of internship opportunities to final year students. amrita college of engineering does not have 100% placement, but in vit there is 100% placement record.

If you want to take admission in a college in which accepts jee mains marks for admission and conducts its own entrance for admission then you can give one of the two for admission, or you can give both the exam to increase your chances as if you fail to perform good in any one of the examination you will get another chance to perform well through the other exam.
