JEE Main 2013 Seat Allotment

Latest: The JEE Main 2013 Spot Round and Extra Spot Round Seat Allocation have been declared today (July 30, 2013)

The JEE Main 2013 Third Round Seat Allotment
was announced on July 23, 2013. The JEE Main Seat Allotment for the First Round had been announced July 10, 2013 while the second round was announced on July 16, 2013. Candidates can check their JEE Main 2013 Seat Allotment below .Seat Allotment of the JEE Main 2013 will comprise of two rounds followed by the new third round, a spot round and an extra spot round. Given below are the details of the JEE Main 2013 Seat Allotment.

  • The seats allocated through the JEE Main 2013 will be on the basis of the All India Ranks of the candidates in JEE Main 2013 as provided by the CBSE.

  • Seat Allotment in NITs consists of the Home Quota (50%) and Other States (50%)

  • Seat Allotment in the other institutes like the IIITs, CFTIs, SFTIs comprise of the Home Quota, Other state Quota and the All India Quota.

  • Students who refuse an allotment or withdraw after provisional admission will not be allowed to participate in any further rounds of the counselling by CSAB 2013

  • Candidates who have applied for both Architecture and Engineering seats will be allotted only one seat.

  • The full home quota for Union Territories without any NIT (Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Kandvi, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli), the full Home State quota will be available at nearest NIT for eg NITs at Durgapur, Calicut, Surat and Surat respectively. Such seats are supernumerary over and above the Home State quota of the respective NITs.

  • The Spot Round will be held for both Government Institutes (NITs, CFTIs and IIITs) and Private Institutes (SFTIs) and the Extra Spot Round will be for only Private Institutes (SFTIs)

  • Seat Allotment will be followed by Document verification at any one of the ‘Reporting Centers' during the time specified and payment of initial fee to confirm the allotment.

  • Candidates confirming their allotment will be issued a provisional admission letter.

  • Initial Fee to be paid is Rs. 40,000 and can be paid online via   Debit/Credit card, NEFT , e-challan and Net Banking

  • Fee can also be paid through a DD for Rs 41000 (Rs 1000 processing fee) in favour of “Chairman, CSAB-2013”, payable at Rourkela.


JEE Main 2013 First Round Seat Allotment:

  • Online Registration: July 1 to 9, 2013 till 12 noon

  • Online Choice Filling/Locking: July 1 to 9, 2013 till 5 pm

  • Allotment: July 10, 2013 by 5 pm

  • Reporting to Centres: July 11 to 14, 2013 from 9 am to 5 pm

  • Candidates must print the seat acceptance acknowledgement letter from the CSAB-2013 website before reporting to the centres.

  • They should report to the Verification Centres with the specified documents for verification and pay the initial fees as specified.

  • At the end of the first round, upgradation will be announced along with the allotment of new seats to the candidates in the second round


JEE Main 2013 Second Round Seat Allotment: Announced on July 16, 2013

  • Candidates who have not been allocated a seat in the first round will be considered for allotments in this round.

  • Candidates who  have been offered and accepted a seat in the first round will automatically be considered for upgradation in their choice list in second round of seat

  • Such candidates, if they are allocated other seats against their higher preference choices during second round  will forfeit their claim on seats allocated to them in first round,

  • Online Registration: July 1 to 9, 2013 till 12 noon

  • Online Choice Filling/Locking: July 1 to 9, 2013 till 5 pm

  • Allotment: July 16, 2013 by 2 am

  • Reporting to Centres: July 16 to 18, 2013 from 9 am to 5 pm


Upgradation
: Rolled Back to accommodate a Third Round of Seat Allotment

  • At the end of second round, upgradation wasannounced on July 20, 2013 (7:00 PM)

  • Upgradation was rolled back and instead a third Round was announced on July 23, 2013

  • Students who have been allotted seats must proceed to the Reporting from Jul 25 to 27, 2013

 

JEE Main 2013 Seat Allotment for Spot Round & Extra Spot Round: Announced on July 30, 2013

Spot Round
: Applicable to both GFTIs and SFTIs

Extra Spot Round: Applicable to SFTIs only


These rounds will be conducted for the following

  • Candidates who did not register during July 1 to 9, 2013.

  • Candidates who had registered but not allocated a seat in the First or Second Round.

  • Candidates whose seats were cancelled at RCs due to change of  ender/Category/PwD Status/State of Eligibility and are otherwise eligible


Spot Round & Extra Spot Round

  • Students who have not registered during July 1 to 9, 2013 have to register before filling choices between July 22 to 27, 2013

  • Registered candidates need not register again

    Vacant seats available after the Spot Round Allotment will be allocated to the candidates in Extra Spot Round

  • Spot Round and Extra Spot Round candidates should report in person to any of the RCs for document verification and locking of choices from July 25 to 27, 2013


Note:
The same choices should not be given for both Spot Round and Extra Spot Round.

Spot Round:  The fee paid is non-refundable if seat is allocated to a candidate.
The collected fee will be sent to the allocated Institute by CSAB even in case of non admission.
Fee will be refunded if Allotment is not done.

Extra Spot Round: Candidates who have been allotted seats in this round will be refunded the fee paid to CSAB 2013.
Candidates confirming the seat will be required to pay the fees to the allotted institute.
