Cardan's Rule for solution of cubic equations
In Cardan's Rule, initially x is replaced by y to remove the square term of equation. Later replace y by u+v. Then values of u and v will be derived. Then we get one root for the main cubic equation. To get remaining 2 roots they just multiply u with Lamba for one root and lambda square for other root giving three roots totally. So what is this Lamba and how multiplying that gives other roots. Please explain.
