About JKCET 2020
Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) is ging to conduct mop-up round for JKCET counselling 2020 on November 27 and 28. Earlier, two rounds of JKCET 2020 counselling were conducted. Candidates had to report at the allotted institute for admission as per schedule. The authorities cancelled JKCET 2020 due to COVID-19. The shortlisting of candidates to offer admission in undergraduate engineering courses into the participating engineering institutes has been done through class 12 marks. JKCET Merit list is available online on the official website. The online application form for JKCET 2020 was released on March 12 and the last date to submit the same was July 31. Also, candidates whose Class 12th result has been declared had to submit their marks certificate at BOPEE offices Jammu/Srinagar during working hours from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M physically or e-mail the same along with their JKCET 2020 Application form number at bopeehelpdesk@gmail.com up to August 31.

JKCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of JKCET 2020 consist of the requirements that the candidates need to meet for admissions into the participating institutes. JKCET 2020 eligibility criteria has to be checked before registration since ineligible candidates may get disqualified. The official JKCET eligibility criteria have been listed below:
- Age – Candidates should be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2020. There is no upper age bar.
- Domicile - The candidates should be permanent residents of J&K state.
- Academic Qualification – Should have qualified 10+2th (or equivalent) examination from a recognized statutory Board/University. Those candidates who will be appearing for the qualifying examination in 2020 will also be allowed to participate. English. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics should have been studied and qualified by the candidates.
- Marks Required – At least 50% marks should have been secured in the qualifying exam by the candidates belonging to Open Merit including the Children of Defence Personnel, Children of ParaMilitary Forces, Children of State Police Personnel and candidates possessing outstanding proficiency in Sport in the qualifying exam. For SC/ST and other Socially and Educationally Backward Classes candidates, the marks required is 40%.

Candidates were able to access the application form of JKCET 2020 in online mode till July 31. Candidates whose Class 12th result have been declared have to submit their marks certificate at BOPEE offices Jammu/Srinagar during working hours from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M physically or e-mail the same along with their Application form number at bopeehelpdesk@gmail.com upto August 26. It is mandatory for all the candidates to fill and submit the application form before the final date. All information submitted should be valid and according to the documents possessed by the candidates.
Steps to fill JKCET 2020 Application Form
- Personal and contact details such as name, date of birth, email id and more of the candidates will have to be filled in the online application form of JKCET 2020.
- Candidates will have to submit their permanent and correspondence address.
- Academic information will have to be provided in detail.
- Scanned images of the candidate’s photograph, signature and left thumb impression will have to be uploaded according to the specifications mentioned below.
- After previewing their filled application form, the candidates will be able to edit their submitted information. Submission has to be done after the changes are done.
- Payment of application fee of Rs. 1200 will have to be done through online mode (net banking/credit card/debit card)
- Educational/reservation/category documents will have to be uploaded if applicable.
- Finally, the submitted JKCET 2020 application form will have to be printed out for further reference.

The correct answers to the questions asked in the entrance examination will be mentioned in the answer key of JKCET 2020. Candidates will be able to use it to estimate their probable scores before the official result is announced. For calculation of scores, candidates will have to compare their responses to the correct ones and use the official marking scheme. Candidates will also be able to challenge the JKCET 2020 answer key within a given time frame. The authorities will release the final answer key after the raised objections are checked by the official authorities.

Candidates will be able to access the result of JKCET 2020 in PDF format. The result cum merit list of JKCET 2020 will consist of the name of the candidates along with their corresponding category, roll number, marks and obtained rank. The authorities will prepare the merit list cum result according to the performance of the candidates in the examination. Based on the released result, admissions into the participating institutes will be conducted.
Mode of Counselling: Online
JKBOPEE is going to conduct the mop-up round of JKCET 2020 counselling on November 27 and 28. The authorities earlier released a provisional selection list for candidates who participated in JKCET physical counselling round 2 and had to report for admission from November 16 to 21 at the allotted college/ institute. Round 2 of counselling was conducted from November 5 to 12. JKCET counselling 2020 started from October 12 and concluded by October 21 for round 1. Candidates having their name in the merit list were eligible for participating in the merit list. Candidates had to physically report to the BoPEE office for participating in the counselling and seat allotment rounds. Allotment of seats is done as per the candidate’s merit, preference and availability of seats. Allotted candidates have to report to their respective institute to complete the admission formalities which includes document verification. In case vacant seats are left after the online counselling, the authorities will conduct another round.

What about the third round of counseling for jkcet 2020? Is that going to be conducted or not?
The J&K BOPEE is conducting and has released list of candidates eligible for admission after round 2 of JKCET 2020 counselling. The second round counseling was started on November 5. There is no update whether 3rd round counseling will be conducted or not. It will depend on whether seats will be available or not. As of now there is no information, keep checking the website for further announcement.
