How to apply for IISER B.Tech Admission?
Step 1 - Online Registration
In the first step candidates are required to register themseves before filling Application Form for IIST B.Tech Admission.
For registration, the candidates need to provide their roll number of JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Registraion for IIST B.Tech Application Form can be done online only
Step 2 - Filling all the details
After completing the registration process, candidates need to enter all the details in IIST B.Tech Application Form.
After filling all the details, print out of the filled in application fee must be taken out by candidates.
They also shall download and print the bank challan to pay registration fee, after the completion of online registration.
Step 3 - Registration Fee Payment
After completing the registration process and filling all the details in IIST B.Tech Application Form, candidates are required to remit the registration fee at any one of the branches of State Bank of India or Union Bank Bank of India.
The registration fee can be paid only after 24 hours of registration by a candidate.
In case the next day is a holiday, then the candidates need to pay the registration fee from the very next working day.
Step 4 - Entering Bank Transation Details
Once the payment of fee IIST B.Tech Application Form is one, the applicants are required to enter the details of bank transaction by logging in using their registration number and password.
Step 5 - Upload scanned images
As a last step of IIST B.Tech Application Form, scanned image of institute copy of challan countersigned and stamped (seal) by the bank in PDF/JPEG format must be uploaded by the candidate.
It is mandatory to follow all the steps for the online application in the same order.
If a candidate misses any of the steps, his/her Application Form for IIST B.Tech Admission will automatically be rejected.
IIST Admissions UG Eligibility Criteria
Indian citizens are eligible to apply for admission in IIST.
Date of Birth
General category (GEN) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category candidates must be born on or after October 1, in the year of admission and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribes (ST)/Persons with Disabilities (PD) categories must be on or after October 1, in the year of admission.
Date of birth mentioned on the certificate or marks sheet of high school/first board or its equivalent exam will only be accepted.
Note: If date of birth is not mentioned on the certificate/marks sheet then at the time of counselling, candidate has to submit an authenticated document from competent authority indicating the date of birth.
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of the curriculum scoring. The candidates belonging to general category must have secured a minimum aggregate marks of 70% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- SC/ST/PD applicants must have secured a minimum 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class XII or equivalent exam.
Marks scored in JEE Advanced Examination
General Category (GEN) - Candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate marks of 20% in class XII or equivalent exam . They must have secured a minimum of 5% aggregate marks in each of the three subjects.
Other Backward Community -
Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) Category - Applicants must have secured a minimum aggregate marks of 18% in class XII or equivalent exam and a minimum of 4.5% aggregate marks in each of the three subjects
Scheduled Caste(SC), Scheduled Tribe(ST) & Persons with Disabilities(PD) Categories - Applciants must have secured a minimum of 10% aggregate marks in class XII or equivalent exams. They must have scored a minimum aggregate marks of 2.5% in each of the three subjects
