DCECE 2023- The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has started the DCECE 2023 application correction from May 24. Candidates are allowed to edit their application form till May 25. The registration process was over on May 22. Candidates could fill their application form from April 22 to May 22, 2023 at the official website - bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. DCECE exam date is June 24 for PE and June 25 for PM and PMM.
Candidates who have passed Class X exam conducted by Bihar board or any other equivalent exam with minimum 35 percent will be eligible to apply for the DCECE exam. The Board will release the eligibility criteria for Bihar Polytechnic exam 2023 along with the brochure. Students planning to appear for the DCECE exam 2023 are advised to check the syllabus and exam pattern before commencing their preparation.

About DCECE 2023
Admission to diploma engineering courses at polytechnic institutes in the state of Bihar are done through the DCECE or Polytechnic Engineering (PE) paper. Students should note that apart from admission to three-year engineering diploma courses, DCECE 2023 will also be held for admission to following programmes.
Para-medical (PM) (intermediate level)
Para-medical dental (PMD) (matric level)
Part-time 4-year Polytechnic Engineering (PPE)
DCECE 2023 will be conducted as a pen-paper-based test for 2 hours 15 minutes duration. The DCECE 2023 question paper will include 90 objective type questions from physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
Students who will complete the Bihar Polytechnic 2023 registration process before the deadline will be able to download the DCECE admit card. The link to download the DCECE 2023 admit card will be made available at the official website only. Aspirants will be required to carry their DCECE admit card 2023 at the exam centre along with a valid id proof.
Candidates will be able to download their results from the official website a few days after the conclusion of the entrance exam. DCECE 2023 result date has not been announced yet. Shortlisted candidates will have to participate in the counselling process for admission into the participating institutes of the state. The process will start with an online registration followed by choice filling.

DCECE 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The Board has released the eligibility criteria of DCECE 2023 along with the brochure. The DCECE 2023 eligibility criteria will include various conditions and requirements that students will have to meet in order to get admission. The DCECE eligibility criteria include parameters like qualifying exam passed, minimum marks, and also age limit for appearing in the exam, as have been discussed below.
DCECE 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Qualifying Exam – Candidates who have passed Class X exam conducted by Bihar board or any other equivalent exam are eligible to apply. In addition, candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in 2023 can also apply on a provisional basis.
Minimum marks – The candidates need to have scored minimum 35% marks in Class X.
Age limit – Candidates of all ages can apply, as no age limit has been set.
Domicile – Indian citizens who meet the following conditions may apply. The parent of the candidate:
Is a permanent resident of Bihar
Enjoys refugee status in the state
Is employed with Bihar government
Is employed with the central government in Bihar
Works with the UN and is currently posted in the state
Medical fitness – All candidates must be medically fit.

DCECE Application Form 2023 - Steps to apply
Registration – To start the registration process, the candidate will have to first select the course group (PE in this case) and then enter valid email id and mobile number. Other details the candidate will be prompted to enter include name, DOB, Aadhaar number, etc. If the registration is successful, the activation code will be generated and sent to the registered email if and the mobile number of the candidate.
Filling of personal information - The candidate has to next fill the application form, which has sections like personal and communication details. In the personal details section, name, gender, DOB, the name of parents, etc. has to be entered. Academic section, meanwhile, fields like qualifying exam, marks, the name of the passing institute, etc.
Uploading of documents - In this stage, scanned images of photograph and signature need to be uploaded as per the specifications specified by the authorities.
Filling of education information - After paying the fee, enter details related to exam passed, subjects studied in the qualifying exam, the name of the school (college), board, passing status, year of passing, pass percentage, and percentage.
Preview DCECE application form– At this stage, the candidates will be able to preview the complete application form. Corrections will also be allowed at this stage. If the candidate is happy with details entered, he/she may submit the form.
Application fee payment– The application fee is Rs. 750 for open, and Rs. 480 for reserved (SC, ST and PwD) candidates. Both online (net banking, credit and debit cards ) and offline payment modes are available. To pay offline, e-challan has to be generated at the time of filling the application form. The challan can be used for making the payment at any nearby bank.

Students who will qualify the DCECE 2023 exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. The DCECE 2023 qualification status will be made available on the rank card. To participate in the counselling process, candidates will have to register and participate in choice filling and locking.
DCECE 2023 Counselling Procedure
Online registration – Qualified candidates have to get registered by selecting the course, and then by entering registration number, name, date of birth, and security code, etc. Please note some details the candidate entered at the time of filling the application form will appear in read-only mode, and the candidate will also have to enter a few additional details.
Choice filling and locking – After successful registration, the candidate has to next enter choices from the available options in the order of preference. The choices entered also has to be locked, or last entered choices would automatically get locked once choice filling deadline expires.
Seat Allotment – The second seat allotment was done online and based on merit; additionally, the category of and choices entered by the candidate is taken into account. Allotted candidates will have to report at Reporting Centres (RCs) in person on the scheduled date and time to accept the allotted seat.
Payment of admission fee – Finally, the candidate has to pay the admission fee of Rs. 1000, to confirm the seat.
