Assam PAT 2023 - The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Assam has announced the Assam PAT 2023 admit card on online mode. Registered candidates can download the admit card of Assam PAT 2023 from the official website, dte.assam.gov.in. The Assam PAT 2023 exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 18, 2023. Candidates could register for Assam polytechnic exam 2023 till May 8, 2023. Candidates willing to get admission into engineering polytechnic courses offered by the institutes in Assam have to register and appear for the Assam PAT exam 2023.

Students who have passed H.S.L.C or any equivalent exam in a single sitting with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Science (Minimum aggregate marks in the two subjects for SC and ST candidates are 35% and 33% respectively) are eligible to apply for the Assam PAT exam 2023.

June 5 - The authorities has issued the Assam PAT 2023 Admit Card.

May 31 - Assam PAT 2023 admit card release date has been notified. The link to download the admit card of Assam PAT 2023 will be updated on June 5. 

May 8 - The authorities has closed the Assam PAT 2023 Application form submission window.

May 5 - The DTE of Assam has extended the Assam PAT 2023 application form at dte.assam.gov.in.

April 10- Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Assam has released the Assam PAT 2023 application form at the official website.

About Assam PAT 2023

The authorities conduct Assam Polytechnic Admission Test for admission into the Diploma  courses in the state government polytechnics of Assam and polytechnics outside Assam (seat against allotted by the government of India / Assam energy institute, Sibsagar. The Assam PAT 2023 will be conducted in selected centres in Mangaldoi, Tezpur and in government polytechnic/ institutions of Assam. .

Candidates will be able to download the Assam PAT 2023 result from the official website. To download the Assam PAT result 2023, candidates will need their roll number and date of birth. Students who will qualify the entrance exam will have to participate in the Assam PAT 2023 counselling process. Based on the candidate’s performance in Assam PAT 2023 and the availability of seats, the seat allocation will be done.

The exam conducting authorities has released the Assam PAT 2023 eligibility criteria along with the official notification. The eligibility criteria of Assam PAT 2023 will include the conditions that students are required to meet to be offered admission.

Assam PAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying exam – The candidate needs to have passed H.S.L.C or any equivalent exam in a single sitting with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Science. Minimum aggregate marks in the two subjects for SC and ST candidates are 35% and 33% respectively.

Physical fitness – The candidate needs to be physically and mentally fit.

Residential eligibility – The candidate needs to be an Indian national and permanent resident of Assam.

Students can fill out the application form of Assam PAT 2023 in online mode. The Assam PAT 2023 applications will be invited from the students who are permanent residents of Assam for registration to appear in the polytechnic admission test for admission into diploma courses offered by the participating institutes.

Students are advised to keep the following things in mind before and while applying the Assam PAT application form 2023. 

• Applicants are required to apply only through Online mode, no other means/mode of submission of application form will be accepted.

• Applicants are advised to fill up the online application form well in advance, without waiting for the last date, to avoid the last minute hassle.

• Please keep your ‘scanned photograph’ and ‘scanned signature’ ready with you in the following format :

• Recent scanned photograph only in .jpg format (file size should not exceed 100 KB)

Steps to fill Assam PAT Application Form 2023

• Registration – To start the registration process, the candidate has to first select the course and then enter other details, including a valid email id and mobile number.

• Filling of application form – In this step, the candidates have to fill in different sections in the application form like academic details, course details, and contact information.

• Uploading of the document – Next photograph and signature has to be uploaded in the format described by authorities. 

• Generation of Application Number – Once the application is filled and documents uploaded, the candidate has to click on the Submit button. 

• Payment of application fee: The application fee for appearing in the exam is Rs.500 (excluding bank charges), and can be paid both in online and offline mode. 

• Application submission – Check that the Assam PAT application form is complete in all respects.

Students who will complete the registration process before the deadline will be able to download the Assam PAT 2023 admit card from the official website. To download the admit card of Assam PAT 2023, candidates will have to sign in your account using ‘Application Number’ and ‘Date of Birth’.

• Upon successful log-in, the admit card will be displayed on the screen

• After checking that the details mentioned on it are correct and legible, download and take a printout.

The authorities will declare the Assam PAT result 2023 in online mode. The Assam PAT 2023 result will contain important information like the qualifying status of the candidate, subject-wise and total marks, and the merit rank. 

To prepare for the Assam PAT merit rank 2023, the marks obtained by the candidate in the Assam Polytechnic exam will be considered, and no weightage will be given to qualifying marks.

Assam PAT 2023 Result - Tie-breaking procedure

In the scenario where two or more candidates obtain the same marks, the merit rank will be decided in the following sequence:

• Candidates who have higher marks in Mathematics and Science in qualifying exam will be ranked higher

• The candidate who has higher aggregate marks in the qualifying exam will be given higher rank

• Finally, a tie will be decided based on the lottery which will be drawn by the Chairperson of the Selection Committee.

Admission authorities will likely release category and course-specific cutoff of Assam PAT 2023 for all the participating institutes of the exam. The cutoff generally indicates the last rank at which a candidate is given admission to a particular course. So, any candidate who doesn't meet the cutoff criteria will not be considered for admission. 

Considering the cutoff is prepared based on parameters like a number of applications received for a particular course and the number of seats available, Assam PAT cutoff 2023 is likely to be different for different courses. 

Mode of Counselling: Offline

Only those students who will qualify the Assam Polytechnic exam will be eligible to participate in the PAT counselling process. Students will have to first get themselves registered in order to participate in the Assam PAT counselling 2023.  The authorities publish the status of the Assam PAT allotment for each round of institutions and branches of the candidates on the official website. 

After the publication of the allotment, candidates will have to submit the acceptance letter in the specified format to receive a final allotment of the institution and branch. Only those candidates who will accept the admission within the specified period will be considered for further up-gradation of his choice of institution and branch in further rounds of Assam PAT counselling 2023.

The allotment of the seat will be based on the merit rank of the candidate and choices opted for admission. Please note candidates who are ranked higher in the merit list would be given preference during the seat allotment process.
