AP POLYCET 2023 - The SBTET, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada has declared the AP POLYCET 2023 result on May 20. Candidates can download the AP Polycet 2023 result from the official website - polycetap.nic.in. To download the AP POLYCET 2023 rank card, aspirants have to use their hall ticket number. Qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.  AP Polycet 2023 seat allotment result will be announced for each round.

AP Polycet 2023 exam was successfully conducted on May 10, 2023. AP Polycet was conducted in offline, pen, and paper mode. The duration of this exam is 2 hours and includes multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Also, the syllabus of AP POLYCET 2023 will be based on Class X (SSC) syllabus. Students seeking admission into polytechnic courses offered by the engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh were required to appear and qualify the AP POLYCET exam 2023.

Only those students who meet the AP POLYCET 2023 eligibility criteria had to fill the AP Polytechnic form. Students who have passed SSC examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or an equivalent exam scoring minimum 35% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as a compulsory subject are eligible to apply for the AP POLYCET 2023. About AP POLYCET 2023

Andhra Pradesh polytechnic exam conducted for admission of candidates into diploma courses in engineering. Students who qualify the entrance exam are eligible for admission into the offered courses by the participating institutes. 

The authorities have released the AP POLYCET 2023 eligibility criteria along with the brochure. • Nationality and domicile – The candidate needs to be an Indian national and a resident of Andhra Pradesh.

• Age limit – There is no lower or upper age limit to appear in the exam.

How to fill AP POLYCET 2023 application form- Offline

• The candidate has to first download the application form online and take a printout and then proceed to fill the hard-copy of the application form. or The candidates can fill the application form in online mode itself. 

• Details pertaining to a year of passing Class 10 and hall ticket number, and date of birth has to be entered.

• The name of the candidate should be the same as mentioned in school certificates. When entering the name, look to it that there is a gap between parts of the name. 

• Fill in your father's name.

• Fill in correspondence details. 

• Mention the exam centre.

• Category details (SC, ST, etc.) 

• To be considered under CAP/SP/PH/NCC, pertaining details have to be mentioned.

• Select the medium of exam 

• A photograph, duly signed by the parent (guardian), should be affixed in the designated space. 

Go to the nearby helpline centre and submit the application form to the computer operator there. At the time of submitting the application form, the candidate will also be required to pay the application fee of Rs. 400, either in cash or through net banking.

The computer operator feeds the details mentioned on the application form to a computer system and also upload essential documents like photograph and signature. After the process is over and the application form is successfully uploaded.

Application Fees

The authorities have released the exam pattern of AP POLYCET 2023 at the official website. The exam pattern help aspirants to an idea that the entrance exam is all about what they need to do to succeed.

The AP POLYCET 2023 question paper will be of 2 hours duration and include multiple-choice type. Each question will have four answer options, out of which one answer will be correct. A total of 120 questions will be asked – Mathematics will contribute 60 questions, while Physics and Chemistry 30 each. Each question will have four answer options, out of which one will be the correct option. No marks will be deducted for the incorrect answers. Questions will be set based on Class 10 (S.S.C.) syllabus. The exam will be conducted in offline (OMR-based) mode. Responses have to be entered by darkening the appropriate circle using 2B pencil.

• Hall ticket is not transferable. Any tampering of Hall Ticket will automatically lead to the disqualification of the Candidate.

• A log-in panel will open. Log-in using – Tenth Exam Hall ticket number, Date of Birth and year of passing/appearing in class 10

• Click on View and Print Hall Ticket button.

AP Polycet 2023 hall ticket- Offline Mode

Candidates can also obtain their AP Polycet hall ticket through helpline centres. The following steps can be referred to obtain the hall ticket in offline mode.

• Download the application form from the official website and take a print out.

• Fill all the required details of the application form and paste the photograph and put signatures.

• Visit the nearest helpline centre and submit the completely filled form to the computer operator.

• The computer operator will enter all the details in the form of the online computer system and upload photographs and signatures of the candidate.

• Pay an application fee of Rs 400 either through offline or online mode.

• A print out of the application form will be taken by the computer operator and will be handed over to the candidate for checking all the details. Once the candidate verifies that all the details are correct, the operator will click on “Confirm” to finally submit the form.

• Once the application form is submitted, the hall ticket of AP Polycet 2023 will be generated and given to the candidate.

It should be noted that AP Polycet 2023 hall ticket will be generated on the same day but it may be possible that the hall ticket takes 2 to 3 days in generation due to the increase in rush at the centres. So, the candidates are advised to get their hall tickets early to avoid such problems.

Minimum Qualifying Marks of AP Polycet 2023

To qualify in the exam, candidates from open category need to score a minimum of 30% marks or obtain 36 marks out of 120. No minimum qualifying marks were set for SC and ST candidates and they will be included in the merit list irrespective of their scores.

AP POLYCET 2023 Result - Tie-breaking rule

In cases where two or more candidates score the same marks, the tie will be decided in the following order:

• Candidates who have higher marks in mathematics will be ranked higher

• Candidates with higher marks in physics will be placed higher

• If the tie persists, the candidate older in age will be given preference.

Mode of Counselling: Online

The counselling process of AP POLYCET 2023 will be being conducted in online (web-based) mode.  The authorities list eligible candidates under different groups based on their ranking. Candidates who are short-listed for web-based counselling have to get registered and get their documents verified at designated helpline centres within the given schedule.

After successful completion of the document verification process, the candidates have to participate in the choice filling. It is recommended that the candidates fill as many choices as possible to maximize their chances of admission. In fact, to make the choice filling process easier for candidates, cutoff details of the previous academic session will be uploaded on the portal.
