SDM College of Engineering and Technology Dharwad offers B.Tech Admission based on the merit list of KCET or COMEDK UGET. The online application submission for COMEDK UGET starts on February 2024 and the exam will commence on May 2024. The KCET 2024 notifications will be announced through the official website of Karnataka Examination Authority and Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam dates are expected to be in the second week of November 2024.

SDMCET Dharwad

SDM College of Engineering and Technology Dharwad was established in 1979. SDMCET is an autonomous college affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University and offers admissions to 18 courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. SDMCET Dharwad courses offered are B.E, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D. For securing SDMCET Admission, candidates have to appear for entrance examinations such as KCET, the management entrance test for management quota, COMEDK UGET and Karnataka PGCET. The placement cell of the college trains the students and provides opportunities for students to get placed in top firms with the highest salary packages.

SDMCET UG programmes are accredited by NBA and are placed in the rank band of 250 to 300 as per the official ranking report of NIRF 2023. The college offers many scholarships to students who are excellent in academics and deserving students from economically weaker families. Students can avail of the SDMCET Scholarships offered by AICTE, the Karnataka government and private organisations. These scholarships are offered by the Social Welfare Department, Tribal Welfare Department, Minorities Welfare Department, Technical Education Department and so on. Jindal Foundation Scholarship for Engineering Students	Rs. 40,000 per annum	The student must be pursuing a full-time engineering degree from a recognised institution in India. The student must have secured at least 70% marks in 10+2 or equivalent examinations. The student’s annual family income must not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
SDMCET Merit Scholarship	25% to 100% of the tuition fee	The student must be in the top 10% of each branch based on their KCET or COMEDK rank.
SDMCET Need-Based Scholarship	50% of the tuition fee	The student’s annual family income must be less than Rs. 2 lakhs.
SDMCET Minority Scholarship	25% of the tuition fee	The student must belong to a minority community such as SC, ST, or OBC.
SDMCET Sports Scholarship	10% of the tuition fee	The student must have represented the state or national level in sports.
Pragati Scholarship Scheme For Girl Students (Technical Degree)	Rs. 50,000 per annum.	Girl students admitted to a first-year or second-year (lateral entry) degree-level course. The family income does not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.
Saksham Scholarship Scheme For Specially Abled Students (Technical Degree)	Rs. 50,000 per annum.	A student admitted to a first-year or second-year (lateral entry) degree-level course has a disability of not less than 40%. The family income does not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.
Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students	Rs.12,000 per annum at graduation level for the first three years of college and university courses and Rs. 20,000 per annum at the post-graduate level.	Candidates must pass class 12 examinations with 80 percentile and are pursuing a regular course. The family income does not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.
Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses	Full course fee up to Rs. 20,000 per annum is also provided. Rs. 10,000 per annum for hostellers and Rs. 5000 per annum for day scholars.	Students must have secured more than 50% marks or equivalent in their previous exams from a recognised board. The family income does not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs per annum.
