WBJEE 2020 - West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will conduct WBJEE 2020 on February 2. WBJEE 2020 will consist of two papers - Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). The application form of WBJEE 2020 was available from October 18 to November 13. The facility for correction in WBJEE application form was available from November 14 to 16. Candidates who have submitted the application form before the final date will be issued admit card to appear in the examination. The admit card of WBJEE 2020 will be released on January 27 in online mode. The result will be declared in the form of rank card. WBJEE will provide admissions into 114 participating institutes through the counselling procedure. Allotment will be done as per the rank secured in the examination. WBJEEB will release the admit card of WBJEE 2020 on January 27. Candidates will be able to access the admit card in online mode. Details about the entrance examination such as the venue address, timings and more will be available in WBJEE 2020 admit card. It is important for the candidates to present the admit card at the examination centre along with a valid identity proof. If the candidates are not able to produce the admit card, then they will not be allowed to enter the examination centre.

The venue address present in the admit card must be checked properly by the candidates since no one will be allowed to attempt the examination in any other exam centre except the one that they are allotted.
Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the examination starts. After the scheduled time, the candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. Similarly, no candidate will be allowed to exit the examination hall before the end of the exam.
Without the admit card and identity proof, the candidates will not be allowed to attempt the exam.
Calculator, documents, pen, wristwatch, log table, written or printed material or any form of communication devices like mobile number will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
OMR number and the serial number of the question booklet should be same.
The instructions listed in the OMR sheet and question booklet has to be read very carefully.
WBJEEB has closed the application form of WBJEE 2020 on November 13. The service for application form correction was available from November 14 to 16 in online mode. To participate in the examination and admission process, candidates are required to fill and submit the application form within last date. While filling out WBJEE 2020 application form, all of the valid details had to be provided. It should be noted that incomplete applications may get rejected. Before registration, the candidates were advised to check the eligibility criteria.
Step 1 - Registration: Firstly, the candidates had to register by entering their name, date of birth, gender, parent’s name, identity proof details and more. A password also had to be generated by the candidates.
Step 2 - Filling of WBJEE Application Form 2020: After registration, the candidates had to fill their personal, academic and category details.
Step 3 - Uploading of Scanned Documents: Next, the candidates were required to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities. The specifications were

Signature: File Size should be 3 KB to 30 KB with dimensions of 4 cm x 1.5 cm in JPG/JPEG format
Step 4 - Fee Payment: The required fee had to be paid by the candidates through online mode i.e., net banking/credit card/debit card.
Step 5 - Print Out Confirmation Page: The generated confirmation page had to be downloaded and printed out for future use.

The authorities state some conditions and requirements that are essential to be fulfilled by the candidates to participate in the entrance examination and for admissions. These conditions constitute the eligibility criteria of WBJEE 2020. If the candidates are unable to meet the criteria, then they are likely to be disqualified from the admission process.
Nationality - Candidates should be a citizen of India.
Age Limit - Should be born on or before December 31, 2003. The candidates should be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2020. WBJEE 2020 does not have any upper age limit. However, candidates applying for Marine Engineering should not be more than 25 years as on December 31, 2020.
Academic Qualifications - The candidates should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Computer Application/Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks. The board of the qualifying examination must be recognized by the Central Government or State Government concerned.
Marks Required - Should have obtained at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD) in the above mentioned three subjects. The candidates should have scored at least 30% marks in English.
Domicile - Candidates should be residents of West Bengal
The exam centres of WBJEE 2020 consist of the list of cities where the entrance examination will be conducted. Candidates will be able to select their preference of exam cities while filling out the application form. Allotment of WBJEE 2020 exam centres will be done as per preference and availability of seat. WBJEE 2020 will be conducted in 60 exam centres across 23 West Bengal districts and 1 districts in Assam and Tripura each.

WBJEE 2020 sample papers will consist of the model questions which are based on the previous year papers of the examination. The answer key of WBJEE 2020 will consist of the correct answers to all of the questions asked in the entrance examination. The authorities will release the provisional answer key in online mode. Using WBJEE 2020 answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate their probable secured scores by comparing their responses with the correct ones. Objections against the provisional answer key can also be raised by the candidates within the allotted date. For each objection, the candidates will have to pay Rs. 500. The final answer key will be released after the objections are reviewed by the authorities.
WBJEEB will be declaring the result of WBJEE 2020 in online mode. The result will be released in the form of rank card. Details such as the secured component scores, total scores, ranks and more will be present in WBJEE 2020 result/rank card. To check and download their rank card, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. No rank will be released by the authorities.

The cutoff of WBJEE 2020 will consist of the minimum ranks that the candidates will have to secure to have higher chances of admission into the participating institutes. While preparing the cutoff, the authorities will consider various factors related to the entrance examination such as difficulty level, number of applicants, previous year cutoff trends and more. It is to be noted that WBJEE 2020 cutoff will vary as per the selected course, institute and category of the candidates.

Registrations for WBJEE 2020 counselling will commence in online mode. Those candidates who qualify the entrance examination will have to register for the counselling procedure. The required details have to be provided to complete the registration procedure. Counselling fee of Rs. 500 also has to be paid through online mode i.e., net banking/credit card/debit card. The preferred choices and institutes have to be selected by the candidates. While filling the choices, the candidates are advised to fill as many as they can. All of the choices selected should be in the order of preference.
After registration and choice filling for the counselling procedure is completed, the authorities will announce the seat allotment of WBJEE 2020. Candidates will be able to check their seat allotment status in online mode. No individual allotment letters will be sent to the candidates. Three rounds of WBJEE 2020 seat allotment results will be announced. All of the selected candidates will have to report to their allotted institutes within the specified timeline. Verification of documents and payment of balance fee has to be done for confirmation of admission. Failure to do so will lead to the cancellation of allotted seat.
