WBJEE 2021 - The West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board has released the WBJEE 2021 application on February 23. The authorities will conduct WBJEE exam on July 11, 2021. Aspiring candidates will have to submit the application form to participate in the WBJEE exam and admission process. WBJEE 2021 will consists of two papers - Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). Candidates have to appear in both papers and qualify in order to be considered for admission. There are certain requirements that the candidates will have to meet to be eligible for WBJEE 2021. These conditions and requirements will constitute the WBJEE eligibility criteria 2021 which will be released along with the official information brochure. All of the candidates are required to meet the criteria otherwise they might be disqualified from the admission process. Some of the general WBJEE 2021 eligibility criteria are listed below:

• Nationality - Candidates should be of Indian nationality.

• WBJEE 2021 Age Limit - Should be minimum 17 years old as on December 31, 2021 or should be born on or before December 31, 2004. There is no upper age limit. But for candidates who are applying for Marine Engineering, the upper age limit is 25 years as on December 31, 2021.

• Domicile - Candidates should meet the domicile requirements of the state.

• Educational Qualifications - It is essential that the candidates should have qualified 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a board recognized by the Central Government or State Government with Mathematics, Physics and any of the following subjects - Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Computer Application/Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects. The candidates should have also passed these subjects individually.

• Required Marks - General category candidates should have secured minimum 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 (or equivalent) examination. For reserved categories, the minimum aggregate mark is 40%. Candidates should have also scored minimum 30% marks in English.

WBJEEB has released the WBJEE form 2021 on February 23, 2021. It has to be noted that the WBJEE application form 2021 is available only in online mode. It is important for the candidates to complete WBJEE registration 2021 and submit their application form before the final date to participate in the entrance and admission process. The authorities will release the admit card in online mode and the candidates will have to login using their registration/application number. Therefore, the admit card has to be kept safely and be produced at the examination centre. If the candidate fails to show their admit card at the centre, then they will not be allowed to enter. Some exam day guidelines of WBJEE 2021

• Candidates are advised to reach the exam venue at least 30 minutes before the official time since there will frisking and other security checks.

• The admit card of WBJEE 2021 and one valid identity proof has to be presented at the exam centre otherwise they will not be allowed to attempt the exam.

• After the exam starts, no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre. Similarly, no candidate will be allowed to exit before the examination concludes.

• Electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, wrist watches and more will not be allowed inside the exam centre. Any written or printed material will also not be permitted.

WBJEEB will release the official answer key of WBJEE 2021 after the exam. The correct answers to all of the questions in the entrance examination will first be released through the provisional WBJEE answer key. Candidates will be able to check the correct responses and calculate their probable secured marks. The authorities will also provide a chance for the candidates to raise objections against the provisional answer key for a limited period of time. Candidates will have to submit their challenge along with Rs. 500 for each objection. After checking all of the objections, the final answer key will be declared by the authorities.

WBJEE Merit List 2021

WBJEEB will prepare the merit list of WBJEE 2021 after the result is declared in online mode. To check the merit list, the candidates will have to login with the required credentials i.e., application number and password. Candidates who are shortlisted for the counselling process will be present in the merit list which will be available in category and general merit. 10% of the seats in all all Self-financed and technology colleges will be reserved for JEE Main candidates. If two or more candidates secure the same score in the examination then an inter-se merit will be prepared by the authorities.

Minimum ranks that the candidates have to score for higher chances of admission will be released through the cutoff of WBJEE 2021. The authorities will prepare the cutoff after checking the various factors related to the examination and participating institutes. Factors such as number of applicants, previous year cutoffs, difficulty level of exam will be considered by the authorities. The WBJEE cutoff will be different for each category, course and institute selected by the candidate. Only those who meet the cutoff criteria will have higher chances of admission.

Shortlisted candidates will have to participate in the counselling of WBJEE 2021 which will be conducted in online mode. To participate in the counselling process, the candidates will have to first register at the official website and select their choice of course and colleges as per preference. The counselling fee of Rs. 500 also has to be paid by the candidates in online mode i.e., net banking/credit card/debit card. The selection of the course and colleges has to be done in the order of preference. Candidates are advised to fill as many choices as they can to have higher chances of admission.

WBJEE Seat Allotment 2021

The authorities will release the result of WBJEE 2021 seat allotment in online mode. To check their allotment status, the candidates will have to log into their account. After checking the status, the selected candidates will have to download their allotment letter. No individual allotment letter will be sent by post. To confirm the allotment, the candidates will have to report to their respective allotted institutes for document verification and payment of required fee. If these steps are not completed before the deadline, then their allotment will be cancelled.
