WBJEE Eligibility Criteria 2020 - West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board has announced the eligibility criteria of WBJEE 2020. WBJEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates are requested to check the eligibility criteria of WBJEE 2020 before applying for the entrance exam. WBJEE eligibility criteria 2020 consists of the requirements that the candidates have to meet for admissions into the B.Tech seats offered by participating institutes. If the candidates are unable to meet the specified criteria, then it is likely that their candidature will be cancelled by the authorities.

General Eligibility Criteria of WBJEE 2020
Nationality - The candidates should have Indian nationality.
Age Limit - Required to be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2020 or should have been born on or before December 31, 2003. There is no upper age limit. However, for Marine Engineering, the upper age limit is 25 years as on December 31, 2020.
Educational Qualifications - Candidates should have passed 10+2th standard (or equivalent) qualifying examination with Mathematics and Physics along with any one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Computer Application as compulsory subjects. The mentioned subjects should have been passed individually in regular class mode (theory and practical). Those candidates who will be appearing for the qualifying examination in 2020 will also be eligible for WBJEE 2020. The board of the qualifying examination should be recognized by Central and State government.
Required Marks - An aggregate of 45% marks should have been secured by the general category candidates in the three compulsory subjects. For reserved category candidates, the aggregate marks to be scored is 40%. Candidates should have also qualified English with at least 30% marks.
Domicile - Candidates should have been a resident of West Bengal for 10 consecutive years as on December 31, 2019 to have domicile eligibility. If the parents of the candidates are permanent residents of West Bengal with a permanent residential address in the state then domicile eligibility will be given to the candidates.

Candidates without domicile eligibility will also be able to appear for WBJEE 2020.
However, for admissions into the Government Engineering/Technology state colleges as well as reserved seats, the candidates are required to meet the domicile eligibility criteria of WBJEE 2020.
Allotment through Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Scheme will also require domicile.
Candidates are advised to download the required proforma and keep all of their certificates ready for the counselling and allotment process.
Those candidates who are not able to submit their domicile certificates when required will be disqualified from admissions.

Candidates aspiring for admissions to all B.Tech courses except ‘Jute & Fiber Technology’ at the University of Calcutta, need to have passed class XII or equivalent exam from any recognized Council or Board with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
They should have obtained at least 60% (55% for reserved category students) aggregate marks in Science group taking the above-mentioned subjects together with individual passing marks in all three, excluding vernacular first language and another language as a second language and EVS with minimum 30% marks in English.
For Jute and Fibre Technology
Should have passed class XII or equivalent exam from a recognised board and council with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology as compulsory subjects with at least 60% (50% for reserved category students) aggregate marks in the above mentioned subjects, excluding vernacular first language and other language as a second language and EVS and 30% marks in English.
Jadavpur University (Faculty of Engineering and Technology)
Should have passed ‘10+2’ or equivalent exam with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects with at least 60% (45% for reserved category students) aggregate marks in the three subjects taken together.
The candidates should also have obtained individual pass marks (both in theory & practical where ever applicable) in each of the subjects mentioned above and with at least 30 % marks in English.
West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences
For admission in B.Tech (Dairy Technology) course at West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, the candidates should have qualified class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in each of these subjects in regular class mode.
They should have secured at least 50% (40% in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English taken together.

Neotia University
For B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering & Robotic Engineering
Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Computer Science as compulsory subjects with at least 60% marks in these three subjects taken together.
For B.Tech in Other Branches
For admission to all B. Tech courses except Marine Engineering at Neotia University, the candidates should have passed class XII or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with 60% aggregate marks in these subjects taken together.
For Marine Engineering
Should have passed class XII or equivalent test with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with at least 60% aggregate marks in these subjects.
They will also be required to secure at least 50% marks in English in either 10th standard or 10+2 standard.
