VITMEE Counselling 2017 – The counselling of VITMEE 2017 will be held from June 19 to June 24. The counselling for M.Tech (Automotive) will be conducted on June 19, while the counselling for other M.Tech programmes will be held on June 20 and 21. VITMEE 2017 Counselling for M.Tech (by Research) will be conducted on June 24. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the counselling schedule on the basis of their performance and rank in VITMEE 2017. For seat allotment and admission, preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates over the non-GATE qualifying candidates. After checking their result of VITMEE, the candidates will be sent counselling call letter on their registered email ID. Further, they need to download this VITMEE counselling call letter by using their log in details. Admissions to the candidates will be offered based on the merit list. How to participate in VITMEE 2017 Counselling
Shortlisted candidates will be informed through SMS or email about the counselling.
Candidates have to attend VITMEE counselling 2017 in person as per the scheduled time and date
The candidates have to pay counselling fee of Rs. 10,000 in advance at the time of interview. The counselling fee has to be paid only through computerised Demand Draft (DD) payable to “VIT University”, at Vellore. In case any candidate doesn’t pay this fee at the time of the interview, his/her name will be removed from the admission list. This counselling fee is non-refundable, however, if admission candidates is confirmed, then it will be adjusted in the tuition fee.
Candidates must report to the respective counselling centre and register for participating in VITMEE 2017 counselling wherein they have to appear for document verification also.
Only after the validation of the documents, the candidates will be able to participate in counselling of VITMEE 2017.
The authorities will check for state of eligibility and mark sheets
After paying the counselling fee and getting the provisional admission letter, if the candidates do not qualify in the qualifying exam, then the provisional admission letter will be considered invalid and their candidature cancelled.
Seats and campus once allotted to the candidates will not be changed under any circumstances.
Note: Candidates must not forget to carry all educational certificates/documents in original along with one set of photocopies to the counselling centre. Check the list of documents to be carried to the counselling centre below.

Admit Card of VITMEE 2017
Marks statement of class X and XII
Mark Sheets of all semesters/years of the qualifying exam up to pre-final/final year as applicable
Provisional Certificate/ Qualifying Degree (If already received)
Migration/ Transfer Certificate obtained from the Institute last studied (If already received)
Valid GATE score card (if applicable)
No Objection/Service Certificate issued by the employer. (For sponsored candidates for M.Tech. Programmes only)
Community Certificate (for all categories except OC/ General)
Demand Draft of Rs. 10,000 drawn in favour of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore

Advance Fee Receipt
Four copies of recent passport size colour photograph
Admission letter and a photocopy of the programme fee receipt
An undertaking reflecting good conduct/behaviour of the candidate in prescribed form (to be issued by the University at the time of admission)
Affidavit to be signed separately by the student & parent in R s. 20 stamp paper
Two photocopies of all original certificates (Candidates are advised to make required number of photocopies for their future use before handing over their originals to the authorities)
The university will generate registration number/ID for candidates who have submitted the above documents.
Note: The university will return the original certificates only after completion or withdrawal from the programme.

No the VIT Masters Entrance Examination (VITMEE) is not going to be conducted on 6th june and 7th june. Due to corona virus or COVID-19 pandemic the exams dates are postponed until the further notice. New dates will be announced soon. According to the VITMEE Eligibility criteria, candidates must have graduated from any recognized university. They must have graduated with a full- time degree with minimum aggregate of 60%. Also, consistent record in 10th and 12th class. The ones that are appearing for their final year exam can also apply.
