UCEED 2018 - IIT Bombay has released UCEED 2018 Admit card for downloading from January 1 (5 pm onwards). The mock test of UCEED 2018 is also available from January 17. Candidates can take the mock test by clicking on the link below. The online application form of UCEED 2018 was available from October 9, 2017 and the last date for the submission of the application form was November 12, 2017. The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2018 will be held on January 20, 2018 in online mode. The result of UCEED 2018 will be declared on February 18, 2018 by the exam conducting authority. Candidates who have qualified 12th standard (or equivalent) or will be qualifying in 2018 in any stream (Science, Commerce or Arts and Humanities) will be considered eligible to apply for UCEED 2018. UCEED is an online examination conducted by IIT Bombay for admissions to Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes offered by IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur. All UCEED admissions will be done based on the merit and selection of seats by the candidates. All candidates, Indian and of Foreign nationality, are eligible for admission if they meet the required criteria. What's New in UCEED 2018?
UCEED 2018 will be held in 20 cities. Last year, the examination was held in 19 cities by the authorities. The list of the exam cities has also been modified and announced for all interested candidates.
The score card of UCEED 2018 will be available on the same day the official result will be announced i.e., February 18, 2018.
GST will also be calculated along with the application fees of UCEED 2018.
- The age limit for appearing in UCEED 2018 has been revised. Open or OBC-NCL candidates born on or after October 1, 1993, are elible to appear in the entrance exam. SC, ST and PwD candidates can avail age relaxation of up to five years.
UCEED Results will be shared with the following institutes who will offer admissions to B.Des programme on the basis of the scores of candidates in UCEED 2018. These institutes/universities will not be particiapting in the UCEED counselling process, however, will offer admission to candidates through UCEED 2018 scores on some seats only.

UCEED Mock Test 2018
IIT Bombay has released the mock test of UCEED 2018 in online mode on January 17, 2018. Candidates have to simply click on sign in link button (Given below) and start with the mock test. Candidates can start taking the mock test to experience how the entrance exam on January 20 would be. Candidates are advised not to use their UCEED 2018 registration number and password to the the mock test, as the log in details are already filled in the mock test of UCEED 2018. By using the mock test of UCEED 2018, candidates can learn to use the various features, symbols and buttons in the mock test. Taking UCEED mock test also helps the candidates in mastering various aspects related to the exam like how to answer a question, how to keep the answer under review, how to go to the next question, etc. The result of UCEED 2018 mock test will not reflect after the test on the computer screen. Candidates must use only computer to take the mock test, as it may not work on mobile devices or tablet. The instructions in the mock test are based on last year's UCEED paper and they may differ in the paper of UCEED 2018.

The admit card of UCEED 2018 is now available for download from January 1, 2018. Only registered candidates will be able to download their admit card. The application form of UCEED 2018 with regular fee is now over on November 12. The last date for filling the application form of UCEED 2018 with late fee was November 17. The following steps can be followed while filling UCEED Application Form 2018:
Registration – The candidates will be required to register themselves by submitting their name, mobile number, date of birth, mobile number, email id and more. A registration ID and password will be generated after successful registration.
Filling of Application Form – Personal, educational and contact details of the candidates has to be provided while filling the UCEED 2018 application form. Three exam city preferences also have to be submitted.
Uploading of Documents – Photograph, signature, qualifying examination certificate and more documents has to be uploaded.
- Payment of Application Fees – The required application fees has to be submitted in online mode (net banking/ credit card/ debit card).
Submission of Application Form – Finally, the application form has to be submitted by the candidates.

For admissions into the seats offered through UCEED 2018, the candidates will have to meet certain eligibility criteria and standards. Failure to meet the required criteria will make the candidate ineligible for admission into the participating institutes. Under the government policies, a certain number of seats will be reserved for minority categories. Only those candidates who fit the eligibility criteria will be able to seek admission under the reservation criteria of UCEED 2018.

UCEED 2017 examination will be held in 20 cities in India. The candidates will be able to select three exam centres as preferences while filling the online application form. The selected exam centre cannot be changed after the submission of the application form. One city may have multiple exam centres. The committee of UCEED 2018 has to the right to add or remove exam centres and allot a centre that may not be the selected choice of the candidates. The authorities will also be able to drop an exam centre if enough number of candidates are not available there. In this case, the candidates will be allotted another centre which may be their second or third choice.

The official authorities will be releasing the question papers and the draft answer key of UCEED 2018 on January 27, 2018. Using the released UCEED answer key 2018, the candidates will be able to check and compare their answers with the correct ones. The probable secured scores can be calculated by the candidates using the answer key. In case of any discrepancy/comment regarding the UCEED answer key 2018, the candidates will have to send an email with the subject "Comments on Answer Keys" to [email protected] on or before January 31, 2018.
The result of UCEED 2018 will be available in online mode for all candidates on February 18, 2018. The candidates will be able to access the UCEED 2018 result in online mode through their login ID and password. The score-card will also be published online from February 18, 2018. It has to be noted that the score-card will not be available in any other mode.

UCEED Rank List 2018
The rank list of UCEED 2018 will be prepared based on the total marks in the examination. No separate category wise rank list will be available. There will be only one rank list. The category wise cutoff marks will be mentioned in the rank list. If two or more candidates secure the same marks, then a tie-break policy will be adopted by the admission committee.
It has to be noted that only those candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each section of the question paper and minimum total marks will be included in the rank list.

UCEED 2018 Counselling
All candidates who manage to qualify UCEED 2018 examination will have to register themselves for the counselling session. The application form for UCEED Counselling will be available from June 8 to June 23, 2018. While filling the application form, the candidates will be required to enter their personal and academic details. All of the required eligibility criteria should also be fulfilled by the candidates. Order of preferred institutes can also be edited by the candidates before the final date of registration. The candidates will be required to pay Rs. 1000 as application processing fee.
UCEED Seat Allotment 2018
Three rounds of UCEED 2018 seat allotment will be held by the admission authorities. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate’s UCEED 2018 rank, category and preference of institute. The selected candidates will receive their provisional allotment letters through their registered email id. Payment of seat acceptance fee (Rs. 60,000) will have to be done through online mode. Failure to pay the fee before the last date will lead to the cancellation of allotted seat. The allotted candidates will be given the options of Floating or Freezing during seat allotment process.
