Selection Process of TULIP Internship Program
After completing the application on the TULIP platform, the candidate can apply for up to 7 internship requirements at a given point of time. Once a candidate is screened/shortlisted, he/she may be invited by the ULB/smart city for an interview. The interview may be an online or offline one. The candidates selected through the interview will be notified by the ULB/smart city and will be issued the offer letter digitally. The candidate may then choose to accept or reject the internship offer on the portal itself. The offer letter will also enclose a digital undertaking. Candidates may also be shortlisted on the basis of locational preference, qualifications and academic record. However, the final selection will be based on the interview with the ULB/smart city.
Stipend of TULIP Internship Programme
The stipend and its amount are under the scope and purview of the specific ULB/smart city one is applying to. Any stipend or allowance amount, if provided or not, will be mentioned in the perks and allowances section of the internship posted by the ULB/smart city.
Internships are best looked at as learning opportunities and candidates should treat them as such. TULIP allows for both paid and unpaid internships, though we recommend that candidates should apply for the internships considering the potential for learning as opposed to the stipend amount.
What Kind of Work will be Provided Under TULIP Internship Program
The work under the TULIP internship program would be in line with the work done by Urban Local Bodies and Smart Cities projects.
