Tripura JEE (TJEE) Eligibility Criteria 2017 - The eligibility criteria of Tripura JEE 2017 are the eligibility conditions set by Tripura Board Joint Entrance Examination (TBJEE), basis which candidates are considered eligible for appearing in the state level entrance exam. Tripura JEE (TJEE) Eligibility Criteria 2017 include eligibility requirements related to nationality, domicile, educational background, etc. Only those candidates will be allowed to appear in the entrance exam who fulfill the eligibility criteria of Tripura JEE 2017 for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes in various engineering colleges across the state. Indian nationals are eligible to apply for Tripura JEE 2017.
Candidates’ parents need to have resided continuously in Tripura for a minimum duration of 10 years, which must be prior to the date of filling the application form of Tripura JEE (TJEE) 2017.
Applicants or Applicants’ father or mother will be required to submit the Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC) being issued by a competent authority.
Applicants passed/appearing (in the same year of entrance exam) in the Higher Secondary Examination of Tripura Board of Secondary Education/CBSE/equivalent examination with the same subjects in which they desire to appear in the entrance exam.
Children of Government Employees
Applicants who have been born in Manipur-Tripura cadre and the children of All India Services Officers & children of employees of State Government posted outside Tripura will be eligible to appear in the entrance exam.
The candidates not necessarily born in the state but their parents should be officers on deputation to the Government of Tripura/Officer of the Central Government working in Tripura & have served in the state for a period of three or more years and must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from an Institution of Tripura.
For applicants who are wards of ex-serviceman, either the candidate or his/her parents must have been staying in Tripura continuously for 5 years, immediately prior to the date of making application for appearing at the Joint Entrance Examination. Apart from this, the candidates must have passed or appeared or appearing in class XII or equivalent examination from any recognized institution in India, in the year of entrance examination with subjects in which he/she desires to appear.
Applicants who are wards of serving defence personnel (Army/Navy/Air Force) hailing from Tripura will also be eligible to appear in Tripura JEE 2017 provided that the applicants should have stayed in Tripura continuously for 5 years immediately prior to the date of applying for the entrance exam. Apart from this, the applicants are required to have passed or appeared or appearing in class XII or equivalent examination in the year of the entrance exam with subjects in which he/she desires to appear.
Those candidates who have been allotted a seat in the past inside or outside the state, then they will not be eligible for the entrance exam for this year or subsequent year unless they surrender the seat allotted to them in the specific time period to the appropriate authority.
