TNEA 2021 Rank List - The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) Chennai will release TNEA rank list in May. TNEA rank list 2021 will be available online on the official website tneaonline.org in the form of pdf. TNEA 2021 rank list will have names of all registered candidates in descending order - from highest rank to the lowest. TNEA rank list is prepared by adding class 12 marks of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.TNEA seat allotment in all the participating colleges will be on the basis of rank list. TNEA 2021 will be conducted in complete online mode by DoTE. The allotment of seats will be through TNEA counselling 2021 on the basis of choices of colleges filled by candidates in their application form and their position in rank list. TNEA 2021 Rank List - How it is prepared?
The admission committee of DoTE, Tamil Nadu prepares TNEA rank list from candidates class 12 score in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For calculating the TNEA rank list, candidates score in Maths out of 100, score in Physics out of 100, converted to out of 50 and Chemistry score out of 100, converted to out of 50 will be taken. The merit list will be prepared based on total marks out of 200.
Candidates who have passed their class 12 from boards other than the Tamil Nadu, their marks will be normalised to have the equivalent marks. For eg, if the highest mark secured by a student of the State Board of Tamil Nadu in Physics is 100 and the highest mark secured by a student of any other Board in the same subject is 90, both the highest marks will be considered to be equal to 100. If a student of the other Board secures 60 marks in Physics when the first mark in Physics in the same Board is 90, 60 marks will be considered to be equal to 66.66 marks.
TNEA 2021 Rank List Inter-se Merit
In cases where more than one candidate has got the same marks in the common merit list, the inter-se-merit among such candidates will be calculated in the order of priority as specified below.

TNEA 201 Rank List - Common Merit List and Category List
The admission committee will prepare a common merit list for admission. However, a separate category wise merit list will also be prepared for various categories under which admission will be offered through TNEA 2021. All merit lists will be available online on the official website.
TNEA Counselling 2021
Candidates having their names in the TNEA rank list will be considered for admission. TNEA 2021 admission will be through online counselling. Through TNEA counselling 2021, candidates will be allotted seats based on their choices of colleges and course filled in application form and position in merit list.
TNEA Cutoff 2021
The opening and closing ranks within which TNEA participating institutes will allot admission in the cutoff. TNEA cutoff 2021 will be available after completion of each round of counselling. Candidates are provided here the previous year TNEA cutoff to know details of last year ranks within which admission were offered.
