SRM Introduces New UG Engineering Course from 2020
SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has introduced new courses at undergraduate engineering level in its Chennai campus. The new courses will be available for B.Tech students from the academic session 2020-21. The new courses introduced are Aircraft maintenance, Artificial Intelligence, Automobile with specialization in Vehicle Testing, Biomedical Engineering, CSE with specialization in BlockChain Technology, Gaming Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering with specialization in Cyber Physical Systems, Data Science, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Robotics and Automation, Computer science and Business Systems in partnership with TCS.
Facility for Interdisciplinary Subjects in B.Tech
SRM also allows B.Tech students to choose their program path with the freedom to choose interdisciplinary programs and flexibility in course curriculum. As per this option, students can choose one major subject as specialization and value add with minors which are courses across the discipline. B.Tech majors offered with specializations like Automobile, Biotechnology, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical and Mechatronics while Minor subjects will be in the discipline of Engineering or Arts & Science such as Economics, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Psychology, Journalism, Management, Cyber Law, Sociology, Finance, English and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
Credit Based Education System
The program structure is offered through a credit system, where students will be able to specialize in majors and do a certificate course in minors as a part of his 4 year B.Tech degree program. Choice based credit system (CBCS), provides a learning platform wherein the student or knowledge seeker has the flexibility to choose their course from a list of elective, core and soft skill courses. This is a student-centric approach to learning or acquiring higher education.

How many people apply for SRMJEE? what are the chances of getting into SRM university for electrical engineering?
Hello,
B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a full time 4 years undergraduate course at SRM University.
For taking admission in this course at SRM university you must have cleared your Class 12 with atleast 60 percent of marks.
Also, you must have studied the subjects like chemistry, physics and mathematics in Class 12 as these are mandatory subjects to be eligible for admission in this course.
You must have passed Class 12 from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS are also eligible to apply.

Engineering Colleges under GGSIPIlU New Delhi are one of the best Technical Institutes in Delhi after IIT Delhi, DTU, IIIT and NSUT Delhi. The institutes has good infrastructure, faculty and research facilities. Being located near IT, Finance, Industrial and Technology hubs of Delhi NCR, provide excellent scope and impetus to training and placement prospects.
Hence, I suppose you must select CSE in best institutes under IPU than much new SRM University campus at Delhi NCR. However, if you get CSE at SRM Main Campus in TN you may consider that as a option over GGSIPU.

My Son Prashant, a general class candidate, appeared final year B. Tech from SRM University Chennai with an average CGPA of 9.3, having 10th and 12th marks as 93 % & 91%, has scored 94 percentile in CAT 20 exam. Can he get a call from a good IIM ?
