SMIT B.Tech Counselling 2017
SMIT B.Tech Counselling 2017 - Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) will centrally conduct the counselling of SMIT B.Tech 2017 in two phases. The SMIT B.Tech 2017 counselling will take place on the basis of the JEE Main score and also on the basis of the offline written test which had been conducted by SMIT. The counselling of SMIT B.Tech 2017 will commence after the declaration of the merit list. Candidates are expected to be physically present at the time of SMIT B.Tech 2017 counselling. The first phase of counselling for SMIT B.Tech Admission will take place on May 25 and the second round will take on June 2. For the candidates who qualified the offline test, the counselling session will be held on May 27, 2017 (9 AM) at "F" Block (Civil & Mechanical Block), SMIT. SMIT B.Tech 2017 Rank List
The rank list for SMIT B.Tech 2017 will be determined on the basis of the total marks scored in the SMIT offline test in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English.
How to break a tie
In the case of a tie, a candidate who scores more marks in mathematics in SMIT B.Tech offline test, then the candidate will be ranked higher.
If the tie still persists, then the rank will be determined on the basis of the marks scored by the candidate in chemistry followed by Physics.

Step 1- Announcement of the merit list
Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology has announced the merit list for SMIT B.Tech Admission 2017. It is on the basis of the rank that candidates will be admitted in different branches of the undergraduate engineering courses at the time of counselling of SMIT B.Tech 2017.
Step 2- Reporting by the candidates
Candidates will have to be physically present at the time of SMIT B.Tech 2017 counselling.
If the candidate fails to attend the counselling of SMIT B.Tech 2017 due to some unavoidable circumstances, then they can authorise another individual to represent them at the SMIT B.Tech counseling 2017.
The candidate’s representative must carry an authorization letter along with the requisite documents and full fees.
If the candidate or their representative do not report at the scheduled time and date of counselling of SMIT B.Tech 2017, their seat will be forfeited.
Step 3- Allotment of seats- Candidates will be allotted seat on the basis of their rank and depending on their availability of the seat.Higher the ranking of the candidate, the more likely are the chances of his getting admission in the programme of his choice.However, no changes will be allowed to be made once the candidate has selected his programme.
Wait Listed Candidates
A list of waitlisted candidates for admission to B.Tech programmes will be offered on the basis of the below given points.
1. Candidates may opt for more than one course. They can get admitted in one particular course and get waitlisted for others. They will be required to deposit the fees for the programme in which they are admitted. If they fail to pay the fees within the stipulated time, their seat will be forfeited.
Candidates will be required to pay the difference of fees in the subsequent course to which he was waitlisted and then admitted.
2. Candidates who choose to be waitlisted will not be required to pay the fees till the time the university informs them about their selection for admission in the B.Tech programmes after the withdrawal or cancellation of admission of the candidate who was initially admitted.
3. The University officer-in-charge for counselling will announce the list for waitlisted candidates in each course as closed after he is convinced that there are sufficient number of waitlisted candidates in each course.
4. Candidates will be waitlisted for a particular course in the same institute and not in any other.

SMIT 2021 Syllabus for passing the cut-off marks of the exam and take the admission. In the exam, the questions will be asked from Physic, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and General Aptitude. The level of the exam will be 12 th class board exam.

- The Exam will be conducted in offline mode
- The time duration of exam will be 2 hours and 30 mints
- Total no of question in the exam will be 200 questions
- All question will be MCQ type questions with 4 options

Hello,
The Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology shall conduct the SMIT B.Tech 2021 admission process which shall be made through the entrance exam called SMIT Offline Test. It was expected that the application form would release in the first week of October 2020 but it is not yet released. The admission form will be available in both online and offline modes and will have to be duly submitted before last date which is expected to be the second week of April tentatively. Keep an eye on the official website for the latest information. It is expected that the SMIT Offline test will be conducted in the third week of April 2021 for which candidates will have to book slots as per their preference.

The Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology Offline Test is a national entrance test administered by the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology for admission to various technology undergraduate courses.
- Mode: Offline mode

The UG application form will be available on the official website of the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology from 29 November 2020 to 10 April 2021.

well, there is no necessity to qualify JEE mains if you qualified SMIT online test with good rank . JEE mains ranks help to get preferences over others but not to worry if your rank is good in SMIT online exam then you are all set. So, yes you can get admission in SMIT if you scored well.
me-out exam date for btech ug programme
Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) will now conduct the entrance examination for SMIT B.Tech admission 2020 in online mode due to COVID-19. The exam dates are postponed as of now and new dates to conduct the exam will be announced sooner or later.
