SITEEE 2020 Exam Instructions for Online Proctored Test (Exam July 19)

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) Pune, will conduct the SITEEE 2020 exam on July 19. In view of the prevailing situation due to coronavirus and the lockdown, SITEEE will be conducted as an online proctored test from home. To ensure that the SITEEE is successfully completed from home, students are provided here the instructions on how to appear in the exam from home. SITEEE 2020 online exam instructions provide details about the requirement of devices, their configuration and specifications, and other essential details about the exam.

Symbiosis International will issue admit cards for appearing in SITEEE 2020 on the official website before the exam. Students have to download their SITEEE admit card in order to appear in the examination.

To make yourself ready for the exam, candidates need to have the following devices ready with them as per the specified configuration

• Personal Computer/ Laptop

• Internet Connection

• Webcam

SITEEE 2020 Online Exam Instructions - How to Check your Computer for Exam

To check the effectiveness of your computer, candidates need to run a three step process as described below, which will help you check the readiness and will help you prepare and get ready before the assessment on the exam day. The following three tests will be performed to ensure the readiness of the system for appearing in the exam.

Step-1: Infrastructure Readiness Check (IRC)

Step-2: Data Quality Check (DQC)

Step-3: Exam Dry Run Check (DRC)

Candidates will receive email on their registered email ID containing the link for performing all the checks as per the schedule.

Device Checking Schedule

Infrastructure Readiness

In this step, ensure that your systems internet bandwidth and speed are checked as against the requirement of taking the remote assessment. The following factors will be checked on your system:

• Operating System version

• Versions of internet browser installed in the computer and its security control levels

• Adequate Internet Upload/Download Bandwidth availability

• Appropriate Camera installation on your system and its configurations

• Anti-virus and permissions to write in the disk

Data Quality Check

The purpose of this activity is to verify whether your images / videos captured, exam responses are reaching our platform without any loss and we are able to access and process the same. These following will be checked in this phase:

• Question responses

• Video streams

• Images

• Activity logs System will validate the correctness and completeness of the information uploaded to our Data-Centre.

In case the information received at our end is having any challenge, the candidate will be connected and guided to do the right set of corrective steps until it is addressed.

Dry Run Check

The purpose of this activity is to have all the candidates participate simultaneously like in a real exam. The following will be checked in this phase:

• All candidates’ infrastructure is ready

• All information from the candidate is received by our platform without any loss.

• A real-exam feel is given to the candidate and the concurrent load on the systems are checked.

SITEEE 2020 Online Exam Instructions - Online Helpdesk for Solution

Candidates who find any issue during the check can contact the online helpdesk using the following steps. It is advised that students take the screenshot of the problem in their computer to send for reference.Below is the set of instructions to use the HelpDesk feature.

• Open the link candidates received on their registered email address for assessment

• Login using the username and password

• Click on “Raise your Ticket”

• Select the type of problem you are facing from the list of available options

• Upload the screenshot of the problem

• Submit the query

SITEEE 2020 Online Exam Instructions - How to Appear in Exam

All registered candidates will receive the email containing the link to appear in the exam. Candidates will have to click on the respective test link and follow the instructions on screen to participate in the SITEEE 2020. The following step by step guide will help students take part in SITEEE 2020

1. Click on the link received in email
2. Login using the username and password
3. Click on the “current assessment: link and subsequently click on the “Launch” button
4. A pop-up window will appear which will show your image, confirm the image and proceed
5. Screen with a key will appear which candidates have to copy and click on the next button
6. Next, a download link will with IBA launcher will appear showing (candidates who performed the test will have launcher downloaded during the test)
7. Follow the instructions and enter the key provided in previous step
8. Click on “I am Ready to begin”
9. Read the general instructions
10. Start the test

SITEEE 2020 Online Exam Instructions - In Case of Obstruction in Exam

In case of the laptop/computer malfunction or loss of internet connectivity during SITEEE 2000, candidates need to login again and the test will resume from the point where it had stopped.Do ensure to login within 10 minutes to avoid losing time from your allotted exam duration. In case of any other issues, open the helpdesk after login and select the appropriate help category required from the drop-down menu on your screen and a proctor will contact you.
