You haven't mentioned your category and home state details and these are very important in determining whether you get admission to any institution or not as the cutoffs are different for different category students. So, I would answer your query in a general way.
As you know, National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of JEE Main 2020 Paper 2.
Now, to calculate your expected rank for B.Arch based on the percentile score that you have secured, you can use this formula:
(100 - your total percentile score) is the percentage of people ahead of you. Also, 112679 were the number of candidates who appeared for January exam.
So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 112679 /100.
According to your query, your expected rank comes out to be around:-
6422. Now that is a rank where you may get admission to some NITs(probably if the home state and gender criterion fall into place) and many other government institutions. Some of the NITs where you may secure admission are:-
• NIT PATNA
• NIT RAIPUR
These are based on the previous year's cutoffs of these colleges as predicting the cutoff for this year is very difficult. If you want to know more about previous years' cutoffs of NITs, you can visit this link
National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of JEE Main 2020 Paper 2.
Now, to calculate your rank for B.Arch based on the percentile score that you have secured, you can use this formula:
In your case the rank would come out to be around:-
25409. Remember this is the All India Or General Rank and do not confuse it to be your category rank.
Hope this helps.
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you for securing a good percentile score in Jee Main Paper 2. Also, in response to your query, your chances of getting admission to some very good colleges are very high. But you haven't mentioned your home state and your gender which plays a big role in determining whether you would secure admission in any college or not as cutoff is different for different category of candidates.
Nevertheless, as you know, National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of JEE Main 2020 Paper 2.
In your case the rank comes out to be around:-
7346. This is the expected All India Rank or General Rank.
This is a very good rank and you may secure admission to NITs like( if you fall into their home state or based on gender criteria):-
Also, you may get admission to some good CFTIs and many good government and private institutions.
To know more about the cutoffs for NITs , you can visit
Also, you can predict your colleges based on these scores by visiting the link
Your rank should be around 70000 as per your score.
And comparing with the previous cut off you might get biotechnology engineering in some NITs like NIT Durgapur , NIT Rourkela .
And if you are from UP , you can also get Oil and Paint Technology or some other branches in HBTU , Kanpur.
You can also apply for private colleges like Thappar University or Chandigarh University
Hello Tuhin Jyoti Kashyap,
According to the previous data,if you get 75.28 percentile in the JEE mains paper 2,then you have very less change to get seat in the colleges. So it is better to write the exam again in the month of April . And also make a plan for the exam and prepare according to it.And prepare more previous paper to know how the questions are going to given in the question paper.
For finding colleges that you are eligible ,you can find the by using the college predictor which link has been given below.,
Hope this helps you..
