RGIPT M.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2017 - Applicants are required to meet the RGIPT M.Tech 2017 eligibility criteria before they start filling the online application form. All those candidates who wish to take admission in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) must ensure that they meet all the conditions that are laid down as they aspire to take admission in M.Tech in petroleum engineering or in chemical engineering. Candidates must score minimum marks at the graduation level to be eligible for RGIPT M.Tech Admission. Candidates who have cleared the GATE exam will be first given preference over the non-GATE candidates in the preparation of the merit list. RGIPT M.Tech 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Eligible candidates aspiring to pursue Master of Technology (M.Tech) either in Chemical Engineering or petroleum engineering are required to fulfil the criteria related to their academic qualifications. Only if they meet the conditions laid down by the institute will they be admitted in the institute.
RGIPT M.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2017
Degree Name and minimum marks
A four year bachelor of technology (B.Tech) or bachelor of engineering (B.E.) Degree with a first class or minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (55% marks or 5.5 CPI for Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribe ) in the qualifying exam and a qualified GATE score
Production, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering,
or Civil Engineering
A 4 year Bachelor of engineering (B.E.) or bachelor of technology (B.Tech) degree with a first class or minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (55% marks or 5.5 CPI for SC/ST students) in the qualifying exam and a qualified GATE score.
Chemical or Petrochemical
All those candidates who will be shortlisted for proposed admission at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, they will have to take a written aptitude test. After the written test, candidates will have to undergo a personal interview. Candidates who meet the RGIPT M.Tech 2017 eligibility criteria, they will have to visit Rae Bareli for the written test and the interview.
Candidates who belong to the General and Other Backward class Category, they will be reimbursed the to & fro fare of sleeper class by shortest route only after they have taken admission in the programme.
Meanwhile, candidates belonging to the Schedule Caste (SC) and Schedule Tribe (ST) category, they will be reimbursed the to & fro fare of sleeper class by the shortest route at the time of the interview.
In both the cases, candidates must produce either the bus or the railway ticket in support of their claim.
The final merit list that will be prepared will be on the basis of combined performance of the candidate in the written test, personal interview and past academic record will also be taken into account.
