PESSAT 2018 – PES University has conducted the first round of PESSAT 2018 counselling on June 2 & 3. The second round of counselling will be conducted on July 22, 2018. Candidates will have to be physically present to participate in the counselling procedure. The university released the result of PESSAT 2018 on May 21. Candidates were called for PESSAT 2018 counselling based on their scores in the entrance examination. There are two rounds of counselling, with the first round which has been conducted from June 2 & 3, 2018. The second round will be held on July 22 to fill seats that are left vacant after Round I. Candidates who have been allotted seats have to submit their original documents for verification. It is mandatory to be present in person for PESSAT counselling 2018.
In such cases where the candidate is unable to attend the counselling session due to unavoidable circumstances, the candidate may authorize another person to attend the counselling on his/her behalf. For proxy counselling, the candidate will have to download the authorization letter from the website, fill it and duly sign it. The authorized person has to bring the letter along on counselling day and get it approved from the concerned person at the university.

The slot booking of PESSAT 2018 commenced on April 16, 2018 in online mode. To download the PESSAT 2018 admit card, candidates had to first book a slot for themselves using their PESSAT 2018 registration number. The candidates were also required to enter their email ID before finally being able to download the PESSAT 2018 admit card. While doing the PESSAT 2018 slot booking, candidates had to book their exam centre, date and timings. It was on first come, first serve basis. The request for change of test centres was not entertained and once, candidates reserved their date and time, no changes were allowed.
The admit card of PESSAT 2018 was available after booking the slot successfully. PESSAT 2018 admit card was available for print with all the details of candidates like name, roll number, test centre, and exam time. Before downloading the PESSAT admit card 2018, candidates must ensure that the details mentioned in it are correct, or else the candidate must contact admission authorities immediately.
How to Prepare for PESSAT 2018?
Candidates who appeared in PESSAT 2018 must have prepared keeping in mind that the test was conducted in online mode and included MCQs. The candidtate needed to go through the syllabus in detail and categorise topics under different heads: easy, medium, difficult. Then the candidate could make a study schedule accordingly.
PESSAT Eligibility Criteria 2018
Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech courses offered by PES University had to meet the eligibility requirement prescribed by the university. These included minimum 60% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized institute. Additionally, candidates needed to qualify PESSAT 2018 to be in contention for a B.Tech seat.
The application form of PESSAT 2018 was available from October 10, 2017. The registration process for PESSAT 2018 continued till April 12, 2018. The registration or application submission deadlines for candidates from outside Bengaluru and candidates in Bengaluru were generally different. How to fill PESSAT 2018 application form
The registration or application process of PESSAT 2018 comprised the following steps:
Step 1: In this step, the candidate had to:
Select the course he/ she wanted to apply
Enter basic details like - name, gender, date of birth (DOB), and valid email ID.
After entering the required details, click on Proceed
The candidate was prompted to either choose edit or confirm option
Confirming the information opened the personal details page
Step 2: In this step, the candidate had to enter personal details like blood group, nationality, religion, category, and address of correspondence. The candidate also had to enter education details, including qualifying exam passed, marks obtained in PCM, and branch sought for admission (Mechanical, Civil, Biotechnology, etc.).
After entering all relevant details, the candidate had to submit the form. Upon successful submission, the candidate had to upload a photograph in the prescribed format.
Step 3: Candidate could also upload the photo at a later time by using the registration number, DOB, and gender.
Step 4: After uploading the photo, the candidate had to proceed to fee payment.

Payment mode: The application fee could be paid in both online and offline mode.
Online payments could be made using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net banking.
Alternatively, the candidate could make the payment using demand draft (DD) or challan. If the candidates wish to pay through DD, it should be drawn in favor of “PES University General Fund” payable at Bangalore. The DD, along with the printed PESSAT 2018 application form, had to be sent to the following address:

In case of challan payment, the candidate had to print both the completed PESSAT 2018 application form and challan, and use them for making the payment at a bank. The candidate had to submit hard copy of the appplication form along with the stamped challan to the address mentioned above.
Step 5: After paying the application fee, the registration process was over, and the candidate needed to take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.
PESSAT Exam Centres 2018
PESSAT 2018 was conducted in various cities across the country in online mode. Candidates could pick their choice of exam centre at the time of filling the application form of PESSAT 2018. Candidates could select a maximum of three centres, which had be listed in the decreasing order of priority. The list of available PESSAT 2018 exam centres was released by PES University, Bangalore, the exam conducting authority. PES University had the authority to cancel a test centre for any reason it may dim fit. In such cases, the candidate was allotted the second test centre in the order of preference.

The exam pattern of PESSAT 2018 included details like subjects covered, number of questions asked per subject, duration of the exam, and marking scheme. The cutoff of PESSAT 2018 will be determined by the exam conducting authority of PESSAT and is the minimum score required to be eligible for admission.
