PESSAT 2018 – PES University will conduct PESSAT 2018 in online mode in May. The online application form of PESSAT 2018 is available from October 10, 2017 onwards. The registration/ application process of PESSAT 2018 includes steps like selecting the course (B.Tech in this case), selecting the gender, entering a valid email ID, payment of registration fee, and uploading of photographs. Candidates who successfully complete the online registration process will be able to participate in slot booking and download the admit card of PESSAT 2018. Before filling the application form of PESSAT 2018, candidates must go through the elibility criteria of the exam to ensure they are eligible for admission. PESSAT 2018 will be held on different dates in test centres spread across various cities in India. The question paper of PESSAT will include a total of 160 questions over two sections. Section 1 is made up of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Section 2 tests students on English grammar. PESSAT doesn’t have negative marking. PESSAT Eligibility Criteria 2018
Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech courses offered by PES University have to meet the eligibility requirement prescribed by the university. These include minimum 60% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized institute. Additionally, candidates need to qualify PESSAT 2018 to be in contention for a B.Tech seat.
The application form of PESSAT 2018 is availble from October 10, 2017. The registration process for PESSAT 2018 will continue till the third week of April 2018. The registration or application submission deadlines for candidates from outside Bengalaru and candidates in Bengalaru are generally different. The application process of PESSAT 2018 is discussed below:
How to fill PESSAT 2018 application form
The registration or application process of PESSAT 2018 comprises the following steps:
Step 1: In this step, the candidate will have to:
Select the course he/ she wants to apply
Enter basic details like -name, gender, date of birth (DOB), and valid email ID.
After entering the required details, click on Proceed
The candidate will next be prompted to either choose edit or confirm option
Confirming the information will open the personal details page
Step 2: In this step, the candidate will have to enter personal details like blood group, nationality, religion, category, and address of correspondence. The candidate will also have to enter education details, including qualifying exam passed, marks obtained in PCM, and branch sought for admission (Mechanical, Civil, Biotechnology, etc.).
After entering all relevant details, the candidate will have to submit the form. Upon successful submission, the candidate will have to upload a photograph in the prescribed format.
Step 3: Candidate can also upload the photo at a later time by using the registration number, DOB, and gender.
Step 4: After uploading the photo, the candidate will have to peoceed to fee payment.

Payment mode: The application fee can be paid in both online and offline mode.
Online payments can be made using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net banking.
Alternatively, the candidate can make the payment using demand draft (DD) or challan. If the candidates wish to pay through DD, it should be drawn in favor of “PES University General Fund” payable at Bangalore. The DD, along with the printed PESSAT 2018 application form, has to be sent to the following address:

In case of challan payment, the candidate needs to print both the completed PESSAT 2018 application form and challan, and use them for making the payment at a bank. The candidate will then have to submit hard copy of the appplication form along with the stamped challan to the address mentioned above.
Step 5: After paying the application fee, the registration process is over, and the candidate needs to take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.
PESSAT Exam Centres 2018
PESSAT 2018 will be conducted in various cities across the country in online mode. Candidates can pick their choice of exam centre at the time of filling the application form of PESSAT 2018. Candidates can select a maximum of three centres, which should be listed in the decreasing order of priority. The list of available PESSAT 2018 exam centres will be released by PES University, Bangalore, the exam conducting authority. PES University has to authority to cancel a test center for any reason it may dim fit. In such cases, the candidate will be alloted the the second test center in the order of preference.

The admit card of PESSAT 2018 will be available around the third week of April 2018. The admit card od PESSAT 2018 will be issued only for those candidates who have successfully completed the registration process. The admit card will display details like the name of the candidate, roll number, test centre, and exam time. Before downloading the PESSAT admit card 2018, the candidate must ensure that the details mentioned in it are correct, or else the candidate must contact admission authorities immediately.
To download the PESSAT 2018 admit card, the candidates need to first book a slot for themselves using their PESSAT 2018 registration number. The candidates will also be required to enter their email ID before finally being able to download the PESSAT 2018 admit card.
How to Prepare for PESSAT 2018?
Candidates planning to appear in PESSAT 2018 must make their preparation keeping in mind that the test will be conducted in online mode and include MCQs. The candidtate also need to go through the syllabus in detail and categorise topics under different heads: easy, medium, difficult. Then the candidate should make a study schedule accordingly.

PESSAT Cutoff 2018
The cutoff of PESSAT 2018 will be determined by the exam conducting authority of PESSAT and is the minimum score required to be eligible for admission. Candidates who score below the PESSAT 2018 cutoff will not be considered for admission. Also, the cutoff of PESSAT 2018 will be determined separately for all the engineering departments. Considering the cutoff is determined by taking into account factors like number of applicants and available seats, it may vary across departments.
PESSAT Counselling 2018
Candidates will be called for PESSAT 2018 counselling based on their scores in the entrance examination. There will be two rounds of counselling, with the first round to be conducted tentatively in the first week of June 2018. The second round will be held to fill seats that are left vacant after Round I. Candidates who have been alloted seats have to submit their original documents for verification. It is mandatory to be present in person for PESSAT counselling 2018.
In such cases where the candidate is unable to attend the counselling session due to unavoidable circumstances, the candidate may authorize another person to attend the counselling on his/her behalf. For proxy counselling, the candidate will have to download the authorization letter from the website, fill it and duly sign it. The authorized person has to bring the letter along on counselling day and get it approved from the concerned person at the university.
