PESSAT 2020 - PES University has released the application form of PESSAT 2020 on October 4, 2019. Candidates can now access the application form in online mode. The authorities will be conducting PESSAT 2020 for B.Tech admission into the institute. The computer based examination of PESSAT 2020 will be held from April 25 to May 15. Candidates will be able to attempt PESSAT only once. Before filling the application form, the candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria of PESSAT 2020. Registered candidates will have to complete the slot booking process to generate the admit card of PESSAT 2020. Admissions will be done based on PESSAT 2020 or KCET 2020 scores. PES University offers six B.Tech courses to eligible candidates through PESSAT 2020. The eligibility criteria of PESSAT 2020 will consist of the conditions and requirements that the candidates will have to meet to be eligible for the admission procedure. Failure to meet the criteria may lead to disqualification of the candidates.
Candidates should have qualified 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects.
Should have secured minimum 60% aggregate scores in 10+2 (or equivalent) qualifying examination.
Candidates will be eligible for only one attempt of PESSAT.
For admissions, the candidates should have a valid PESSAT or KCET score.
The authorities have released the application form of PESSAT 2020 on October 4, 2019. Candidates can fill the application form in online mode. It is essential for candidates to complete the application process before the final date to participate in the admission procedure. However, before filling the PESSAT 2020 application form, the candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria.
Step 1 - Firstly, the candidates will have to select their preferred course/programme for admission.
Step 2 - Information such as name, date of birth, gender and valid email ID has to be provided by the candidates along with additional personal and academic details. Address, name of qualifying exam passed, obtained marks and the preferred branch for admission also has to be provided.
Step 3 - Next, the candidates will have to upload their scanned photograph and signature according to the specifications mentioned by the authorities.
Step 4 - After uploading the documents, the candidates will have to pay the application fee of Rs. 1050. Payment of the fee can be done in both online (net banking/credit card/debit card) and offline mode (demand draft). If the payment is being done by demand draft then it has to be drawn in favour of “PES University General Fund” payable at Bangalore. The demand draft along with the PESSAT 2020 application form has to be sent to the given address:

In case of payment through challan, the candidates will have to make the payment at the bank and submit it to the address provided above along with a print out of the application form.
Step 5 - After all the steps are completed, the candidates can print out the PESSAT 2020 application form for future use.
The exam centres of PESSAT 2020 lists down the states and cities where the entrance examination will be held by the authorities. During the process of application filling, the candidates will have to fill their choice of three exam cities as per preference. Allotment of centres will be done as per preference and availability of seats. Details about PESSAT 2020 exam centres will be available in the admit card.

The syllabus of PESSAT 2020 will be similar to the official syllabus of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Candidates are advised to prepare for the entrance examination by referring to the topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics included in CBSE syllabus. Any good grammar book can be used to prepare for the English section. It is important to check and be familiar with the syllabus since the candidates will be able to know the topics and units from where the questions will be created for the examination.
Details about the nature of the entrance examination will be released by the authorities through the exam pattern of PESSAT 2020. Using the exam pattern, the candidates will become familiar with the various particulars of the examination such as mode of conduction, duration, type of questions, marking scheme and more. All candidates are advised to check the exam pattern before starting their preparation for the examination.

One of the most commonly used methods of preparation for any examination is to solve past question papers or sample papers. Through the sample papers of PESSAT 2020, the candidates will be able to know the exact pattern of the examination along with the examples of questions that might be present in the paper. By completing the sample paper within the allotted time duration, the candidates will be able to learn time management.

The authorities will commence the process of PESSAT 2020 slot booking from April 18. All registered candidates will have to book their slots to attempt the upcoming examination. During the slot booking process, the candidates will have to select the exam centre, date and time according to their preference. Since the slot booking is conducted in first-come-first-serve basis, the candidates are advised to complete the process as early as possible. After booking their slots, the candidates will be able to download their admit card of PESSAT 2020. All details about the examination centre and timings will be available in the admit card.
The result of PESSAT 2020 will be released by the authorities on May 20 in online mode. Information regarding the candidate’s secured marks and rank along with other personal information will be available in PESSAT 2020 result. Based on the performance of the candidates in PESSAT 2020, they will be called for the counselling session.

The minimum scores that has to be secured for higher chances of admissions into the institute will constitute the cutoff of PESSAT 2020. It acts as a screening process for admissions. While preparing the cutoff, the authorities will take a variety of factors related to the entrance examination under consideration such as number of applicants, previous year cutoff trends, difficulty level and more. It should be noted that the cutoff will be different for each programme.
PES University will conduct the offline counselling of PESSAT 2020 from May 30. Two rounds of counselling will be held by the authorities. The candidates will have to physically report for the counselling process and allotment will be done as per the candidate’s secured score in PESSAT/KCET, preferred choices and availability of seats. Allotted candidates will have to verify their documents and confirm their admission at the institute. All candidates are requested to attend the counselling process themselves. However, in the case of unavoidable circumstances, the candidates can appoint another individual to attend the counselling on their behalf. These candidates will have to download, fill, sign and submit the authorisation letter.
