OJEE 2019: Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board (OJEEB) will conduct the counselling and seat allotment process of OJEE 2019 for JEE Main 2019 qualified candidates tentatively from the 1st week of July 2019 onwards. To participate in the web-based counselling process, candidates need to get registered, pay the counselling fee and exercise choice filling. Registration of OJEE 2019 for JEE Main candidates will open around 3rd week of June 2019. Based on the tentative choices filled by the candidates, a mock seat allotment round will be held to give candidates an idea as to their chances of admission. The mock result can be used for editing choices before last date. There will be two OJEE 2019 seat allotment rounds - candidates who are allotted seats will have to pay the admission fee and report at the assigned nodal centre for document verification. It is important that the OJEE aspirant successfully completes the document verification process, as only then he/she will be considered for final allotment.
For candidates who have not qualified JEE Main, Special OJEE 2019 exam will be conducted. Online applications for special OJEE 2019 will open around the 4th week of June 2019. The entrance exam will be one hour duration and will be conducted on July 21. Go through the rest of the article to learn the full details of OJEE 2019.

Before applying for admission, candidates need to confirm that they meet the prescribed programme-specific eligibility criteria of OJEE 2019. It is because the eligibility criteria varies depending on whether the candidate wants to pursue engineering and technology programme or architecture programme. In addition, a separate set of OJEE 2019 eligibility criteria applies for marine engineering, as has been described below.
Engineering and Technology
Qualifying Exam: The candidate needs to have passed 10+2 examination conducted by CHSE, Odisha or any other equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, and any one of Chemistry /Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject / Electronics / Computer science / Information Technology / Geology / Statistics.
Minimum marks in Qualifying Exam: The candidate needs to secure minimum 50% marks in the three subjects (40% in case of SC and ST candidates) and also pass each of the subjects individually.
Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have 10+2 examination conducted by CHSE, Odisha or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
Minimum marks in Qualifying Exam: The candidate needs to secure minimum 50% marks in the qualifying exam, and also 50% marks in the three subjects taken together.
Please note that no age limit has been set for engineering and technology and architecture programmes.
Special Requirements for Marine Engineering
Qualifying Exam: The candidate needs to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam with minimum 60% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics taken together. The candidate also needs to have studied English in 10+2.
Age limit: The candidate must be not more 20 years of age on the date of commencement of the course
JEE Main 2019 qualified candidates willing to participate in the web-based counselling will have to fill the application form of OJEE 2019, which will open tentatively in the 3rd week of June. The OJEE 2019 counselling registration cum- application form will be available in online mode and have to be filled by eligible candidates. The OJEE 2019 application filling process will include steps like registration, payment of registration-cum-counselling fee, and filling and locking of choices.
How to fill OJEE 2019 Application Form
Registration – To register, the candidate will have to enter JEE Main 2019 details, apart from current mobile number and email id. The candidate will also have to choose a password for the applicant log-in account.
Payment of fee – The registration-cum-counselling fee of Rs. 450 can be paid in online mode using net banking, credit or debit cards.
Choice filling - In this step, the candidate will have to enter their choices in the order of preference. It is advisable to enter as many choices as possible to maximize one’s chances of admission of getting a higher preferred seat.
Editing of filled choices based on mock result – Based on the choices entered by candidates, a mock allotment round will be conducted to give candidates an idea about their chances of admission. The candidate can then, based on the mock allotment, make changes of filled choices.
Locking of choices – Candidates need to fill their entered choices before the last date, otherwise last filled choices would automatically get locked.
OJEE 2019 counselling registration fee: Rs. 450
Application form of Special OJEE 2019
The application form of special OJEE 2019 will open around the 4th week of June and can be filled by candidates who haven’t qualified JEE Main 2019. To fill the OJEE 2019 application form, the candidate will have to get registered using valid email id and mobile number, fill the application form that will have fields like academic, contact and personal details, upload photographs, and pay the application fee.
Special OJEE admit card 2019
Exam authorities will release the admit card of special OJEE 2019 in online mode tentatively in the 3rd week of July 2019. To download the Special OJEE 2019 admit card, candidates need to log-in to the admit card download portal using their application number and password. The admit card is a special document that is required to not only sit in the entrance exam but also to complete other admission formalities.
Special OJEE Result 2019
The result of special OJEE 2019 will be declared around the 4th week of July and can be checked in online mode by logging into one’s applicant account. The result would have details related to the score obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam. Also, based on special OJEE 2019 result, merit list will be prepared for non-JEE Main candidates.
Authorities will determine branch and category-specific OJEE 2019 cutoffs for JEE Main 2019-qualified candidates based on parameters like number of applications received and seats sanctioned available for the particular course. The cutoff is usually the last rank for which admission is offered, so the candidate must try to get a rank equal to or higher than the declared cutoff to have a fair shot at admission. The cutoff for JEE Main candidates will be based on their ranks in the national-level exam. In case of candidates who have qualified Special OJEE 2019, separate branch and category-wise cutoffs will be released.
Exam authorities will conduct counselling of OJEE 2019 separately for JEE Main 2019-qualifed candidates and for candidates seeking admission based on special OJEE 2019. Please note special OJEE 2019 entrance exam is meant for candidates who haven’t qualified JEE Main exam. Counselling for JEE Main candidates will be conducted first. The allotment of seats during OJEE 2019 counselling will be based on the merit rank of the candidates in JEE Main 2019 and choices filled by them. There will be two provisional seat allotment rounds for JEE Main-qualified candidates. Provisionally allotted candidates are required to pay the admission fee and report at the assigned reporting centre for document verification. The final allotment will be made only post successful document verification and payment of fee.
