OJEE 2018

OJEEOJEE 2018 - Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board (OJEEB) has released the second round seat allotment of OJEE 2018. Candidates can now log into their account and check their allotment status. Registration for Special OJEE 2018 entrance examination was open till July 13, 2018. The entrance exam for special admission will be conducted on July 22, 2018 for 1 hour. For JEE Main qualified candidates, the authorities had started the registrations for OJEE 2018 from June 18. The registration cum counselling process for OJEE 2018 included choice filling and payment of counselling fee and closed down on June 27. It was advisable to fill as many choices one can to have maximum chances of admission or being offered a preferred seat. Mock seat allotment result has also been announced, based on which candidates can make changes before locking them. OJEE 2018 is conducted for admission to B.Tech programmes in private and government engineering colleges in Odisha. Allotment of seats for JEE Main candidates will start from July 2, 2018. Allotted candidates need to report at the nodal centre of OJEE for document verification and payment of admission fee. However, it is only after final seat allotment that candidates need to report at the allotted institute.

OJEE Registration 2018


The registration of OJEE 2018 for JEE Main candidates has closed on June 27. In case of special OJEE candidates, the registration is open till July 13. OJEE 2018 registration includes the following steps:


Step 1: The candidate will have to click on the “New Registration” link and agree to the consent given and select the relevant course. Following it, candidates need to enter his/her Special OJEE/ JEE Main Roll Number and date of birth. Click on the “Submit” button to continue the registration process.


Step 2: On clicking “Submit” button, a screen will open displaying information entered by the candidate in the application form and some new fields that will have to be filled by the candidate, like contact address, mobile number, etc. The candidate will have to then choose an appropriate password.


Step 3: In this step, the candidate must check that all the information entered is correct, or else the candidate must click on “Edit Registration” to make the corrections. Finally, if all information is correct, the candidate has to click on the confirmation button to complete the process.


Step 4: Payment of OJEE 2018 Counselling Fee

Upon successful registration, the candidate needs to log-in to the newly created account to deposit the counselling fee through online mode.

Step 5: Choice Filling and Locking

Candidates need to select as many choices as they can, in the order of preference, to have better chances of admission and getting a preferred seat. After the candidate has filled the choices, a mock seat allotment would be announced. The candidate can take the cue from the mock seat allotment and make changes to the options before finally locking the choices. Once choices are locked no changes are allowed.


OJEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria 


Only such candidates who fulfil eligibility criteria of OJEE 2018 as prescribed by the admission committee are considered for B.Tech admission. The important OJEE 2018 eligibility criteria are listed below:

  • Candidates need to have passed 10+2 examination of CHSE or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject / Computer science / Electronics / Geology / Information Technology / Statistics.

  • The minimum aggregate requirement is 45% marks ( 40% in case of SC/ST candidates). For admission to Architecture courses, the minimum aggregate requirement is 50% in PCM. Marine Engineering aspirants need minimum 60% in PCM.

Age Limit: There is no age limit for admission to architecture courses. For admission to Marine Engineering 4-year courses, the age limit is 20 years as on the date of commencement of course.


OJEE Counselling 2018 


To participate in the counselling of OJEE 2018, the candidates need to meet the required eligibility criteria. Firstly, the candidates had to register for the counselling session. After successful registration, document verification had to be done. Choice locking according to the preference of the candidates had to be done. Allotment of seats is done according to merit, preference and availability of seats.


OJEE Seat Allotment Result 2018


The second seat allotment of OJEE 2018 has been announced on July 14. Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to pay the required fees and report at specified Nodal centres for document verification. Based on the mock seat allotment, the candidate could fine-tune his/her choices to have a better chance of admission. The candidate had to finally lock his choices post mock seat allotment of OJEE 2018, before the expiry of choice locking deadline. Post-choice locking, no changes could be made to the choices exercised by the candidate. The admission committee considers the choices entered by the candidate and also their JEE Main scores for announcing seat allotment of OJEE 2018.  


OJEE Cutoff 2018


The cutoff of OJEE 2018 is the minimum score candidate needs to score in JEE Main 2018 or special OJEE 2018 to be in contention for a B.Tech seat. The cutoff of OJEE 2018 will be determined by admission authorities based on a number of factors like the number of applications received for admission, number of seats available and previous years’ cutoff trends. All the participating institutes of OJEE 2018 will have their own individual cutoffs, which will be determined branch-wise and category-wise. Candidates who score the OJEE 2018 cutoff will be invited for counselling as per their merit rank.


OJEE Counselling 2018 for JEE Main Candidates

There were two rounds of OJEE 2018 temporary seat allotment held for candidates who have qualified JEE Main 2018. The final seat allotment will be announced on July 21. To participate in OJEE 2018 counselling, the candidate needs to get registered, pay the registration cum counselling fee, and exercise choice filling. The choices entered by candidates, along with their JEE Main rank, will be considered for seat allotment of OJEE 2018.


After candidates exercise choice filling, a mock seat allotment result was displayed. Candidates could alter their choices if they feel they might get a better seat based on the mock result and lock their choices. Temporary seat allotment of OJEE 2018 was announced after choice locking ends. After temporary seat allotment, candidates need to report at nodal centre for document verification and payment of admission fee. The candidate will report at the allotted institute/college only after the declaration of final allotment.


Special OJEE 2018 Counselling for candidates without JEE Main Scores

The Special OJEE 2018 is an entrance examination that will be held for candidates who don’t have JEE Main 2018 scores, yet want to take B.Tech admission in engineering colleges in Orissa.

The participating institutes of OJEE 2018 include colleges and institutes in the state of Odisha that offer admission to undergraduate engineering courses based on JEE Main and special OJEE scores. There are 50,000 seats on offer that are offered by more than 100 participating institutes of OJEE 2018.

You should confirm with the ARC for the documents verification date as it is alloted per batch of candidates for a certain time on a certain date

If in case your daughter gets no seat or gets her name added to OJEE ESM list then it woukd be down graded to general woman quota if you have applied for it.
