NIT Hamirpur (NITH) Placements
The National Institute of Technology Hamirpur has a separate placement cell. The training and placement cell is responsible for carrying out all the NIT Hamirpur placement activities. Every year several organisations are invited to be a part of the NIT Hamirpur placement drive and recruit young talent for their esteemed organisation.
The NIT Hamirpur placement cell organises seminars, webinars, mock interviews, presentations, and many other skill development activities for students on campus. The placement process of NIT Hamirpur follows five-steps. Firstly it sends out invitation to various companies for the National Institute of Technology Hamirpur placement drive programme. Next, the interested companies fill in the Job Notification Form and send it back to the placement cell. Next, the database of the students is shared with the recruiters. The companies shortlist students based on their requirements.

Companies interested in the recruitment drive may share a filled JNF form with the institute once they are invited for on-campus NIT Hamirpur placement.
The institute shares the database of students with the companies according to their eligibility.
From this database, companies shortlist candidates according to their requirements.
Companies then visit the campus where company executives conduct an introductory presentation.
After this, an online examination or a pen-paper-based test is conducted, followed by a group discussion session.

For Cut offs I am considering you as a general category candidate and considering you have home state quota then the cut offs for cse branch for boys is around 31k and for females it is around 32k.
If you are from other state then the cut offs is around 3k-4k.
These cut offs vary on the basis of certain factors such as number of candidates appearing in the examination previous year cutoffs and number of seats available in the college.

In NIT Hamirpur,
It's adequate enough. Neither excellent nor terrible. If you're fortunate, you might end up in a PSU; but, if you're average, you should have no trouble finding work at any of the construction companies, like Punj Lloyd, Gammon, L&T, etc. If you're unlucky, you can find yourself working for an IT company.
Now, in NIT, you get many companies coming for placement and you can even sit for IT jobs also in placement time in NIT Hamirpur.
For state colleges, placement are low and even companies are low to offer jobs in that colleges.
For safe side for your future, choose civil in NIT Hamirpur and if you interested in IT then side by side you can prepare that.
