HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' has released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2020 rankings on June 11 through a live session on his Twitter account. NIRF is a framework that ranks top colleges and universities in the country based on various parameters. Some of the categories of NIRF ranking are engineering, management, law, medicine, pharmacy, etc. and this year, dental has also been included. As per NIRF 2020 engineering ranking, 5 engineering colleges of Madhya Pradesh have been included in the list of top 200 engineering colleges in the country. NIRF was first approved by the MHRD and launched by the then Minister of Human Resource Development on September 29, 2015. Here is the list of top entrance exams for getting admission in the top engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh as per NIRF 2020 engineering ranking.
JEE Main- National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JEE Main twice a year. It is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to B.E/B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Plan courses offered by the NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. JEE Main is conducted as a computer-based test of 3 hours. JEE Main 2020 April session exam is scheduled to be conducted from July 18 to 23.
JEE Advanced- It is a computer-based exam conducted for admission in 23 IITs of the country. Only the top 2,50,000 candidates who qualify JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. IIT Delhi will be conducting JEE Advanced 2020 on August 23.
