NIRF Ranking 2020 - Top Engineering College in Uttar Pradesh
NIRF Engineering Ranking 2020 has been released by MHRD, Govt of India on June 11. NIRF ranking 2020 engineering has been released for the top 300 colleges. The top 200 colleges have been awarded NIRF score and rank while after rank 200, colleges have been placed in two rank bands, from rank 201 to 250 and 251 to 300. NIRF ranking is given on the basis of data provided by institutes. The ranking of institutes in NIRF ranking 2020 engineering is calculated on five parameters which include Teaching and Learning Resources, Research and Professional Practice, Graduation Outcome, Outreach and Inclusivity and Perception.
In Uttar Pradesh, a total of 11 institutes have been ranked in top 200 while 5 in 201-250 band and 2 institutes are in 251 to 300 band. IIT Kanpur is the top ranking institutes in UP followed by IIT BHU Varanasi with tanking of 4 and 11 subsequently. NIRF 2020 Engineering Ranking - Top Engineering Entrance Exams
Admission in engineering colleges in India is primarily on the basis of entrance exams. There are some states which offer admission on the basis of merit of class 12 marks. Students can check below list of top engineering entrance exams in India
JEE Main- Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is conducted by National Testing Agency for admission in B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Plan courses in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Many states also use the score of JEE Main for admission in B.Tech and B.Arch/B.Plan courses. The exam is conducted twice in a year in January and April in online mode as a computer based test.
JEE Advanced- Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is conducted for admission in IITs. Only those students who appear in JEE Main and appear in top 2,45,000 become eligible for taking JEE Advanced. The exam is conducted online in May by one of the seven old IITs on a rotational basis.
MHT CET- Maharashtra CET is conducted for admission in B.Tech course in institutes situated in Maharashtra. The MHT CET exam is conducted in May in online mode once every year as a computer based test in online mode.
AP EAMCET- Andhra Pradesh, Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test, commonly called AP EAMCET is conducted for admission in B.Tech and B.Pharm courses. AP EAMCET exam is conducted online in May.
BITSAT- Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani conducts the BITSAT exam for admission in B.E. course, also called by name integrated first degree programs.
