MET Counselling and Seat Allotment 2020 - Manipal Academy of Higher Education, MAHE will conduct the MET 2020 counselling and seat allotment in June. Students who qualify the entrance exam can participate in MET counselling and seat allotment 2020. MAHE conducts the counselling of MET 2020 in both online and offline mode. In offline MET counselling and seat allotment 2020, candidates will have to report to the counselling venue for seat allotment. In online MET 2020 counselling and seat allotment, candidates will be required to register and fill choices for college online and seats will be allotted on the basis of merit. Students who are allotted seats through MET counselling and seat allotment 2020 will be required to deposit the institute fees to confirm their admission. Candidates who qualify the entrance exam will first be called for offline counselling on the basis of their rank. After offline counselling, online counselling will be conducted for the remaining seats. Students can find below the complete step by step procedure of MET counselling and seat allotment 2020.
Step 1 - Registration
In offline counselling, students have to visit the desired institute to participate in the counselling and seat allotment. Students have to register themselves at the registration counter of the institute and fill choices of branch as per their preference.

Step 2 -Counselling and Course Fee Payment
After registration Students have to submit the counselling participation and course fees in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Manipal Academy of Higher Education” payable at Manipal or Udupi. The details of fees is mentioned below

Step 3 -Document Verification
Students will also have to submit the xerox copies of all the required documents of educational qualification for the purpose of verification. The list of documents required is

Step 4- Seat Allotment
Students who complete all the above mentioned procedure will be considered for seat allotment. Seats will be allotted on the basis of merit list in the order of highest to lower ranks by considering the choices of branches filled by the candidates. Students will be issued a provisional seat allotment letter which they need to carry to allotted institute for further admission process.
Step 5- Report to the Allotted Institute
Students who will be allotted a seat in offline counselling will have to report to the allotted institute for completing the further admission process. Students also need to carry the provisional seat allotment letter issued to them at the time of seat allotment.
MET 2020 Online Counselling (Round 2 to 5)
The institute will conduct online counselling for the remaining seat after the offline counselling. Students who have been allotted a seat in the first round but choose to participate in round 2 can participate in online counselling. Additionally, students who do not get any seat in round one can also participate in rounds 2 counselling. No new registration is allowed for participation in online counselling from round 2 to 4 but fresh registration can be made in round 5. For participation in online counselling, students will have to follow the below mentioned steps for MET counselling and seat allotment 2020.
Step 1- Online Choice Filling/ Modification
Candidates who have been allotted a seat in round 1 but have opted for participating in round 2 online counselling need to login and modify their choices of MET 2020 counselling. To modify choices, candidates have to login to candidate portal using their registered email ID and password. Candidates can modify their choices of college and branch as per their preference.
Step 2 - Documents Upload
Students have to upload the following documents in online mode for participating in the MET counselling and seat allotment.
Aadhaar Card (Candidate’s Original)
PAN Card of the parents (Original)
Class 10 Mark Sheet (For Date of Birth Proof)
Class 12 Mark Sheet
Candidate’s 2 Recent Passport Size Photograph
Authorization Letter (in case representative is attending on behalf of a candidate)
Step 3 - Seat Allotment
Seats will be allotted to candidates on the basis of their rank in merit list. Students will have to check the status of their seat allotment by login to candidate portal. Students who have been allotted a seat but wants to upgrade will have to report to the allotted institute and select option of participating in the next round. Students who will not be allotted any seat in previous rounds will automatically be considered for next round seat allotment.
Step 4- Reporting to the Allotted Institute
Students have to visit to the allotted institute for completing the admission process. Students need to carry the provisional seat allotment letter along with the necessary documents to the institute at the time of admission.
Fresh Registration for Round 5
Candidates who have not participated in the MET counselling and seat allotment till round 4 can register as fresh candidate in round 5. Students who registers as fresh candidate will be required to pay the counselling fees of Rs. 11,000 by Net Banking or Credit/Debit Card for participating in the counselling.
Students who have not been allotted a seat in any round from 1 to 4 will automatically be considered for seat allotment in round 5.
Candidates who have been allocated a seat in any institute can participate in the intra-institute sliding. Intra-institute sliding is the modification of allotted branch within the institute. Students have to register a fresh in the institute for the branch sliding. Students must note that Intra-Institute sliding is only modification in branch allotted to candidate in any institute and not any fresh allotment.
MET 2020 Spot Round Counselling
Manipal Academy of Higher Education will conduct the spot round counselling for the seats which remain vacant after the round one to five counselling. Students who want to participate in the spot round counselling will have to register in online mode and report to the counselling venue as per the schedule. The level of MU OET is definitely lower than JEE but that doesn't mean you should take it lightly. Anyone can clear any examination, provided they have enough concentration and dedication towards it. You should make a study timetable and strictly adhere to it. Do not waste any time and start preparing at once. 550-600 out of 800 is usually considered a "good" score so keep that in mind during your preparation.

With 6794, CSE is near to impossible. Yes, there is a chance for ECE if you go till the final round. According to 2018 and 2017 data, for ECE, the cut offs were between 5000 and 60000. And, there is no big difference between that and your rank, so you can give it a try.
