LPUNEST 2020: Guidelines for Online Proctored Test - Lovely Professional University (LPU) has announced that due to COVID-19, the entrance examination will now be held as a remotely proctored online test. A special counselling was also held for those candidates who had qualified JEE Main 2020 (January session) and LPUNEST 2020(Schedule 1). These candidates will also be able to attempt the upcoming entrance test and participate in the admission process. Since the online proctored test is being conducted for the first time, students will be confused regarding the process of LPUNEST. What is a Remotely Proctored Online Exam?
Remotely proctored online exams will allow the students to attempt the test at home. Students will have to take the examination online through their desktop or laptop. Through this process, the authorities will also be able to detect any suspicious activity of the students and discourage cheating. Since COVID-19 has made social distancing important, the students will be able to complete their entrance examination through this process.

Operating System (Windows) - Minimum: Windows 7 Recommended: Windows 10
Operating System (MAC) - Minimum: MAC OS X Recommended: MAC OS
Guidelines for Remotely Proctored Online Exam of LPUNEST 2020
Candidates should have proper internet connection of minimum 1 mbps for remote proctoring module.
The desktop/laptop should have a working web camera and mic.
The room should have proper lighting so that the pictures captured during the exam are not blurred.
Login information will be received prior to the exam.
The candidates will be contacted by the LPU counsellor prior to the exam to make them accustomed with the entire process, infrastructure requirements and other important information to appear in the test.
Candidates will be under constant observation during the entire duration of the test via artificial intelligence tools and live monitoring by the proctors. Any suspected activity will lead to the immediate termination of the exam. The AI tools will be able to detect any movement of face or eyeballs and highlight the same automatically. The candidate will be under constant vigilance of proctor through live feed to deter any suspicious activity of the candidate.
Important Points for LPUNEST 2020 Remotely Proctored Online Exam
Candidates should make sure the laptop is well charged.
An identity proof should be kept ready by the candidate during the test.
Internet connectivity must be strong.
The room must be quiet.
Candidates will have to answer the questions in a sequential order. No passing of questions will be allowed.
Real time monitoring will be done by the Proctor in the university.
No electronic devices will be allowed.
Candidates will not be allowed to start the test from multiple devices.
No headphones, earphones or any listening devices will be allowed.
Candidates will not be allowed to communicate with any other person.

sir I got 90% in 12th grade and I didnt write lpu nest exam but basing on my academic year result I offered with 50% scholarship ship in lpu university is this scholarship applicable for 4 years or not

The total marks for LPU NEST is 400 while the cut-off is only 30%. If you want scholarship then you need to score good in LPU NEST. LPU NEST 2020 cut-off marks cannot be determined exactly as it depends on-
1. the availability of seats
2. no.of candidates appeared
3. difficulty of the paper

Can we get admission in LPU through JEE
Dear Ketan,
Yes you can get admission in LPU through JEE. For admission in LPU Engineering you need to qualify LPUNEST. Eligibility for engineering Pass with
60% aggregate marks
in 10+2
(with Physics, Mathematics and English)
or equivalent, subject to qualifying
LPUNEST.
LPUNEST will be exempted in case student has scored more than or equal to 90 percentile in JEE Mains or 90% aggregate marks in 10+2.

Lovely Professional University conducts LPUNEST (National Entrance and Scholarship Test). The entrance exam is conducted for various courses where the eligibility criteria is to qualify it as a mandate requirement and for other courses it is a scholarship test Application fees is 800/- for Boys and 500/- for Girls.
Considering the pandemic situation of COVID-19 these days, University has delayed LPUNEST and is waiting further for the directions by the state and central govt. However university is working on conducting the online remote exams.
Also, admit card will only be displayed on your portal, once university confirms the date of test.

Due to COVID-19, LPU has relaxed eligibility norms for all the programmes and waived off LPUNEST for many courses. Still you can appear for the same for scholarship purpose and remotely proctored online LPUNEST from home will be conducted.
