Careers360: How is the campus life, is it all packed up in a routine or equally divided between fun and study? What is the best thing about your campus, something that differentiates it from the others?
Pranay: I feel it is equally divided between fun and work, but it also depends on how your timetable for that semester is.
Campus of Manipal University is very green and beautifully located, with a view of the Western Ghats. It has an old world charm that is not present in many college campuses.
Careers360: How adequately the students divide academic and non-academic activities at the campus? What about the participation in societies/ conferences and events? Do students contribute in the magazines?
Pranay: We have so many academic and non academic activities that keep the students busy in whatever they are interested in. Workshops and events are frequently organized by students here.
As far as the college magazine is concerned, students contribute a lot of content for this along with the editorial board.
Careers360: Is there any code language or may be few college lingos that are famous & used here among the students?
Pranay: “Chill maadi” is one lingo that is used frequently by students here. Also, “Anna” and “Boss” are other words that are very popular for referring to the localites.
Careers360: Is there an informal grapevine communication that tells the campus students about the gossips or the latest happenings?
Pranay: There are about 2-3 public websites such and “Manipal The Talk.Net” and “Chill Maadi”, which are the pulse of Manipal University Campus. Along with these, there are other pages on Facebook that keep students informed about the latest happenings.
Careers360: What do you do when you are not studying or not attending the classes? Do you go to library? What do you do there apart from reading books?
Pranay: When not studying, I watch TV shows or random videos on Youtube on my laptop, browse the internet or hang out with friends.
The library of Manipal University is mostly used to study for exams or projects. We also have a periodical section here that is quite interesting.
Careers360: What has been the most recent news or event that has happened in your campus? Does your campus have any annual fest? Please tell us about it.
Pranay: One of the biggest news was about one alumni of MIT, Satya Nadella, having appointed as the CEO of Microsoft.
We have a cultural fest “Revels” and a technical fest “Tech Tatva”. Both are smoothly organized with different kinds of workshops and events.
Careers360: Any liberty that students demand from the academic authorities, might be any additions or removal of few rules?
Pranay: We want an extension to the curfew time, which is currently 11:30 pm for boys. We will be glad if university authorities extend this time limit.
Careers360: What are the best fun activities that happen in the Boys/Girls hostel, especially in the nights? Any pranks, games or may be just running around that is loved by all and adds a life to the hostel?
Pranay: A lot of activities take place in the boys’ hostel, but the most eventful is someone’s birthday. The birthday boy is dragged on to the corridor by his friends and is tossed above. This creates quite a buzz across our campus.
Careers360: Do you have any Facebook page of your campus where the students express their views or jokes or ideas, or maybe even a blog where students write about their experience of Life at Campus?
Pranay: We have many Facebook groups where students can voice their opinions and debate on certain issues. Social media has turned out to be a useful medium of communication on college matters.

how is sikkim manipal Institute of technology for btech cse in terms of placement and all other things? because I am getting cse there.
Sikkim Manipal institute of technology offers B.Tech CSE along with a bunch of other courses. As of now, the placement cell of SMIT has a really good track record.
Companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, Dell, TCS, Capgemini etc are known to recruit students from this college. The average annual package is around 5L p.a. but the highest annual package can go up to 18L p.a. as well. About 93% of all students get placements on an average in every batch.
Apart from placements, personal reviews suggest that hostel facilities as well as overall infrastructure is student oriented in many aspects. There's a wide range of facilities for students to pursue extracurricular activities apart from the course curriculum.
The faculties are well qualified and knowledgeable as well. Quite a few are M.Tech passouts from SMIT itself.
The fee structure, however, is quite hefty in SMIT. Total fees for the course are around 12-13L INR. If you do not mind the fee structure, you are free to opt for this college.
Hope this information helps
Best of luck!!
B.Tech in Automobile in MIT Manipal and KIIT Which PRODUCT BASED COMPANIES COME TO THESE COLLEGES ??
see manipal university has excellent curriculum and innovative lab for automobile engineering students , college has also many collaborations with industry where students get hands on experience and internship, also core companies visits the campus like adany power, Omax Auto, Gujrat Chemicals, Everest, Mettl visits campus, kiit has also excellent placement record , but some of the core companies prefer mechanical engineering branch most compare to auto mobiles, so from my point of view manipal university is better options.
B.Tech Automobile in MIT Manipal vs KIIT BBSR which has more MEDIAN or AVAERAGE Salary Package ?? And what is the Average Package for Both Colleges ??
I would like to say that you can choose KIIT BBSR over MIT Manipal As the average salary and placement scenario both are better in KIIT rather than in MIT as well as the average package is considered you can see an average of 4.5 lacs from KIIT and 4 lacs from MIT, but I would suggest you to choose a college not only on the basis of placements but also on the basis of the campus, college reviews, environment etc.
You can check yourself the same for both the college in our website it self and also for other Universities too, you can simply type the course and college in google search bar and add careers360 in front of it and you will be able to get reviews on it.
I hope this helps you.
