KEAM 2020 - CEE, Kerala will conduct KEAM 2020 on April 20 and 21 for admission in B.Tech courses offered by the participating institutes of the state. KEAM 2020 will be held for the two papers – Paper 1 (Physics & Chemistry) and Paper 2 (Mathematics). KEAM application form was released on February 1 at cee.kerala.gov.in and was available till February 29 (5 PM). Only the registered candidates will be able to access KEAM 2020 admit card from April 10. KEAM 2020 result will be declared on or before May 25. Admissions will be done on the basis of merit which will be prepared by giving equal weightage to 12th standard and KEAM scores. Course and institute preferences set by the candidates during KEAM 2020 counselling will also be considered for allotment. The authorities will conduct three rounds of allotment for KEAM 2020. Candidates are advised to check the KEAM 2020 eligibility criteria before filing the application form. The authorities have already released KEAM eligibility criteria 2020. Candidates must have passed higher secondary examination of Kerala or equivalent from a recognized board to be eligible for KEAM 2020. The following table can be referred to know all the eligibility conditions of the exam like age limit, domicile, nationality, academic requirements, etc.
Candidates are required to be 17 years old as on December 31, 2020. There is no upper age limit.
Candidates should have Indian nationality. However, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) will also be considered eligible for KEAM 2020.
In KEAM, the candidates will be categorized as Keralite, Non-Keralite I (NK I) an Non-Keralite II (NK II). Certain documents have to be submitted to prove domicile.
Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Examination of Kerala or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
Candidates should have aggregate marks of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics together. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects and Chemistry is optional subject.
Candidates seeking admission in B.Tech courses were able to access the KEAM 2020 application form through the official website from February 1 to 29. Candidates also had to upload all the relevant documents and scanned images before the last date. Candidates were required to keep all the required documents ready before filling the application form like scanned images of photograph, signature and pdf file of birth certificate and other relevant documents. While filling the KEAM application form 2020, candidates had to complete steps like registration, form filling, payment of fees, uploading of documents and printing confirmation page. Step 1 – KEAM Registration: In the first step, the candidates had to register by entering basic details like name, date of birth, mobile number, email along with creating a password. KEAM 2020 application number was generated on successful registration.
Step 2 – Filling Up the Application Form: After registration, candidates were required to enter all of the required personal, academic and communication details. Since no modifications were accepted after final submission, the candidates were advised to check the details once before submitting it.
Step 3 – Payment of Fee: Next, the candidates had to pay the application fee through online mode (net banking/credit card/debit card) or e-challan.
Step 4 – Uploading of Scanned Images: In this step, candidates had to upload the scanned images of photograph and signature along with the PDF file of relevant documents as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities.

While filling out the application form, the candidates were also required to select their choice of KEAM 2020 exam centres. The exam will be conducted at 18 exam centres. The details regarding the allotted centres of KEAM 2020 will be present in the admit card. Allotment of exam centres will be done as per preference and availability of seat. Knowledge of syllabus of any entrance exam is the first step towards preparation. Thus, candidates must check the KEAM 2020 syllabus beforehand. CEE Kerala has released the official syllabus of KEAM 2020. Candidates can now check the syllabus through the official website. The syllabus consist of units and chapters from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The authorities will prepare the question paper on the basis of the syllabus; therefore the candidates should should strictly follow KEAM syllabus for their preparations.
The authorities have released KEAM 2020 exam pattern along with the prospectus. The exam pattern of KEAM 2020 consist of the particulars regarding how the entrance examination will be conducted including details like mode, duration, type of questions, marking scheme, etc. By knowing the KEAM exam pattern beforehand, the candidates will be able to prepare a strategy on how to study for the test. Prior knowledge about the KEAM exam pattern will also allow the candidates to be familiar with the examination.

Candidates should note that the authorities does not release any official KEAM 2020 sample papers. However if released, it will be updated here in this article. KEAM sample papers will consist of the questions based on the actual pattern of the entrance examination. Using the sample papers, candidates will be able to practice for KEAM 2020 and know the status of their preparation. Practicing more and more KEAM sample papers will also help the candidates to know about their stronger and weaker areas.
The authorities will release KEAM 2020 admit card on April 10 in online mode. Registered candidates will be able to access the admit card through KEAM login. Details regarding the examination centre address, timings and more will be available in the admit card. Since it is an important document to be carried to the examination centre, the admit card has to be printed out and kept safely for future use.

Candidates can also download KEAM admit card through designated facilitation centres.
The authorities will release the provisional answer key of KEAM 2020 after the conclusion of the entrance examination. KEAM 2020 answer key will contain the correct answers to all of the questions of the examination. Candidates will also be able to challenge the provisional answer key by paying Rs 100 per question. The payment has to be done through DD in favour of CEE, payable at Thiruvananthapuram, within 5 days from the date of publication of the answer keys on the website of the CEE. Candidates will also be required to submit relevant documents to support their challenges. The authorities will then release the final answer key after considering the objections, if any. Also, the authorities will refund the fee charged for challenge if it is accepted.
Candidates will be able to check KEAM 2020 result on or before May 25. The authorities will release the result online and no other mode will be used to alert the candidates about their scores. To check the result, the candidates will have to login to candidate portal. It must be noted that KEAM result will not be declared for those candidates who score less than 10 marks in each paper.

Candidates will be able to check the KEAM 2020 rank list in online mode on or before June 20. The authorities will prepare KEAM rank list 2020 on the basis of 12th standard marks for Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics put together and KEAM scores. Equal weightage (50:50) will be given to both scores of the candidates while preparing the rank list. Therefore, all candidates will have to submit their 12th standard mark sheet before the final date allotted by the authorities. The shortlisted candidates will be able to participate in KEAM 2020 counselling and seat allotment procedure.
The minimum required ranks to have higher chances of admissions into the participating institutes will form KEAM 2020 cutoff. Candidates will be able to check the opening and closing ranks through the KEAM cutoff. The authorities will prepare the cutoff by considering various factors such as previous year cutoff trends, difficulty level of exam, number of applicants and more. It should be noted that KEAM cutoff 2020 will be different for each category, course and institute.

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of rank list will be able to participate in KEAM 2020 counselling. The authorities will commence the counselling process tentatively in the fourth week of June, 2020. All of the qualified candidates will firstly have to register for KEAM counselling in order to participate in the process. After which candidates will be required fill their preferred choices of colleges and courses in online mode.
Once the choice filling is completed, the authorities will conduct the KEAM 2020 seat allotment through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). The authorities will conduct three rounds of allotment along with a trial and mop up round.
The KEAM prospectus released by CEE, Kerala mentions the list of 177 colleges that will be participating in the common allotment process of the state after the results are announced. The list of KEAM 2020 participating institutes have 9 government colleges, 3 aided, 7 under respective state universities, 25 self financing and 133 private colleges.
