KEAM 2018 - Candidates can confirm their option for Round 2 from July 16 to 19 in online mode. After the confirmation, candidates can commence the choice rearrangement for Round-3 from July 16 to 19 for newlly aadded institution and courses. Exam authorities had released the KEAM 2018 seat allotment result for Round II on July 10. Candidates who have been allotted seats need to remit the fees/balance fees (if applicable) from July 11 to 14 at any of the Head Post Offices in Kerala or in online mode. CEE Kerala had earlier declared the seat allotment of KEAM 2018 for round 1 on July 1 in online mode. For making the payment, candidates have to download their allotment memo. CEE Kerala had declared the rank list of KEAM 2018 on June 20. To prepare the rank list, KEAM scores and marks of 10+2 or equivalent qualifying exam were given equal weightage. Earlier, it was announced the candidates could fill their 12th standard marks in online mode for the preparation of the KEAM 2018 rank list. The marks had to be submitted by June 8, 2018. KEAM 2018 result was released on May 22 in online mode. The Paper 1 (Physics & Chemistry) of KEAM was held on April 23, while Paper II (Mathematics) was conducted on April 24, 2018. KEAM 2018 is the gateway for admissions to 59,000 B.Tech seats offered across 365 participating engineering institutes of Kerala. Admissions will be based on the normalized score of the candidates and their preferred colleges and courses. The application form of KEAM 2018 was available in online mode from February 1-28. What's New in KEAM 2018?
- Reduction of application fee for Indian students. General/OBC candidates now have to pay Rs 700 while SC candidates need to pay Rs 300. There is no fee for ST candidates while candidates applying for Dubai centre have to pay Rs 12000 plus the application fee if any.
- Candidates who want to apply to a course other then the one they opted at the time of filling the KEAM 2018 application form can do so now till March 3. For example, B.Tech candidate can opt for admission in a B.Arch, Medicine, or Pharmacy course and vice versa. To add a course, the candidate has to log-in to their individual log-in accounts and add the course. Please note that any extra fee accruing as a result of the additional course also has to be paid.

KEAM authorities have declared the seat allotment result for second round on July 10. Candidates who are allotted seats have to pay the balance fee either in online or offline mode from July 11 to 14. Also, authorities have released the admission schedule for the shortlisted candidates. After the payment of fees, candidates have to report to the institutes on the specified date and time. KEAM 2018 seat allotment for round 1 was announced on July 1. Candidates have to download their allotment memo after logging in and pay the fees at the nearest head post office or online on or before July 5. The trial seat allotment of KEAM 2018 was announced on June 27. Allotment of seats is being done through a Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). Allotment of seats is done based on the ranking of the candidates in the released KEAM 2018 rank list and his/her preference of college and course. A list of the allotted candidates and their institutes will be published in online mode. All of the selected candidates will have to report at their allotted institutes within the specified time. Document verification and payment of tuition fees have to be done to confirm the admission.

The registration for counselling of KEAM 2018 has started from June 23 in online mode. The qualified candidates have to register themselves online or at the Facilitation Centres (FC). While registering themselves, the candidates will have to submit their preferred college-course combination for the seat allotment process. After submission of the selected choices, the candidates are advised to take a print out of the filled in options for future use. Allotment of seats will be done as per the ranking and selection of the candidates. After allotment, the candidates will have to report at their allotted institute to confirm their admission by document verification and payment of tuition fees.
The cutoff of KEAM 2018 has been published by the concerned authorities for round 1. CEE Kerala will announce the closing ranks after the end of each round of counselling. The closing ranks for which admissions were permitted into the participating institutes will be listed out in the released cutoff. Those candidates who meet the determined cutoff will have high chances of being allotted through KEAM 2018. The opening and closing ranks of the various participating institutes, categories and branches will be available in KEAM 2018 cutoff.
The rank list of KEAM 2018 was announced by KEAM officials on June 20 in online mode. Qualified candidates had to submit their 10+2 qualifying examination marks which were used to prepare the rank list of KEAM 2018 till June 8. The marks had to be submitted after logging in through the candidate portal. Candidates who are listed in the KEAM 2018 rank list will be called for counselling and seat allotment as per their merit rank. For preparing the KEAM rank list 2018, equal weightage has been given to marks obtained by the candidate in physics, chemistry and mathematics in 10+2 and marks obtained in the entrance exam (KEAM 2018). In case there was a tie between two or more candidates, specific guidelines were followed to break the deadlock.
CEE, Kerala announced the result of KEAM 2018 on May 22, 2018. To qualify in the exam, candidates had to score minimum 10 marks in each paper, or else the candidate was disqualified and his/her result would not have been declared. SC and ST candidates are however exempted from this clause.
Equal weightage is given to KEAM 2018 (Paper I and Paper II) and 10+2th qualifying examination marks while preparing rank list. A standardization procedure will be followed by the authorities to prepare the rank list.

KEAM Fee Structure 2018
Depending on the course and the institute the candidates get admission in, the KEAM 2018 fee structure would vary. It may also be noted that the fee would be different for Government seats and those applying under management or NRI quota. The official answer keys of KEAM 2018 was released by CEE Kerala on April 25. Various leading coaching centres had also released the answer keys for KEAM 2018. Through the answer key, the candidates were able to check the correct answers to the questions asked in the examination. Calculation of the probable secured scores could be done by the candidates before the official results were announced. The released answer key was open for challenge. The candidates were able to send their doubts regarding the answer key within 5 days of its release. Various coaching institutes had also released KEAM 2018 answer key.
The registered candidates could access the admit card of KEAM 2018 in online mode. Information regarding the candidate’s name, application number, examination centre, timings and more was available in the KEAM 2018 admit card. The candidates had to note that the admit card was available only in online mode. The admit card of KEAM 2018 had to be downloaded and printed out. It was an important document which has to be produced at the examination centre. If the candidate failed to bring the admit card to examination venue, then he/she was not allowed to sit for the examination. Candidates who had defects in their photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression in the application form were not allotted admit card. These candidates were able to download their admit card only if the correct documents were uploaded before April 13, 2018 (5 PM).

The candidates will be required to meet the standard eligibility criteria of KEAM 2018 set by the admission authorities. Ineligible candidates were not allowed to attempt the examination and participate in the admission procedure.
Nationality: Indian citizens will be eligible for admissions. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) will also be considered eligible.
Domicile: The candidates will be categorized as Keralite, Non-Keralite Category I and Non-Keralite Category II for admissions.
Age Limit: The candidates should be 17 years old by December 31, 2018. There is no upper age limit for KEAM 2018.
Academic Requirements: Should have completed their Higher Secondary Examination of Kerala or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Qualifying Marks: The candidates should have scored 50% marks in Mathematics and an aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics together. For admissions into the B.Tech programmes under Management Quota in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges/ Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges, the candidates should have scored an aggregate of 45% marks in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics together
The online application form of KEAM 2018 was released on February 1, 2018. While filling the KEAM 2018 application form, the candidates had to make sure that they fill correct and valid information. The last date to submit the filled application form was February 28, 2018. The candidates also had to submit the print out of the filled in application form along with the other required documents to the Office of Commissioner of Entrance Examinations by March 31, 2018. Steps to fill and submit the KEAM 2018 application form
1. Candidate Registration:
The candidates will be required to register online. A password has to be created by the candidates during the registration process. A system generated application number will be available after the candidates are successfully registered for KEAM 2018.
2. Upload Images:
Scanned images of the passport size photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression of the candidate will have to be uploaded in the application form. The images have to be uploaded as per the specified requirements of the authorities.
3. Filling up KEAM 2018 Application Form:
Next, the candidates will have to fill in all of their personal, academic and qualification details. All submitted information has to be valid and should match the documents possessed by the candidates. After checking all the filled details, the candidates will be able to submit their application form.
4. Payment of Application Fees:
After submission of the application form, the candidates will have to pay the application fees of KEAM 2018. The payment of application fees can be done through online (credit card/ debit card/ net banking) or offline mode (e-challan). Failure to pay the application fees will lead to the rejection of the application form.
5. Print Filled Application Form:
After making the payment, candidates will have to take a print out of the filled application form and keep it safely.
6. Submission of Printout of Application Form to CEE:

Candidates should have been aware about the syllabus of KEAM 2018 to boost their preparation process. KEAM 2018 syllabus consists of the different topics under the subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. Majority of the syllabus is similar to the qualifying examination of 12th standard. The question paper of KEAM 2018 was set as per the released syllabus. Candidates were able to save their time by knowing which topics and chapters had to be studied for the KEAM 2018 entrance exam. Knowing the syllabus beforehand gives an upper hand to the candidates and it has to be referred to before starting off the preparation process.
