KEAM 2020 - CEE, Kerala will conduct KEAM 2020 on April 20 and 21 for admission in B.Tech courses offered by the participating institutes of the state. KEAM 2020 will be held for the two papers – Paper 1 (Physics & Chemistry) and Paper 2 (Mathematics). KEAM application form was released on February 1 at cee.kerala.gov.in and was available till February 29 (5 PM). Only the registered candidates will be able to access KEAM 2020 admit card from April 10. KEAM 2020 result will be declared on or before May 25. Admissions will be done on the basis of merit which will be prepared by giving equal weightage to 12th standard and KEAM scores. KEAM Eligibility Criteria 2020

Candidates are advised to check the KEAM 2020 eligibility criteria before filing the application form. The authorities have already released KEAM eligibility criteria 2020. Candidates must have passed higher secondary examination of Kerala or equivalent from a recognized board to be eligible for KEAM 2020. Candidates are required to be 17 years old as on December 31, 2020. There is no upper age limit.

Nationality

Candidates should have Indian nationality. However, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) will also be considered eligible for KEAM 2020.

Domicile

In KEAM, the candidates will be categorized as Keralite, Non-Keralite I (NK I) an Non-Keralite II (NK II). Certain documents have to be submitted to prove domicile.

Academic Qualifications

Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Examination of Kerala or equivalent exam from a recognized board.

Marks Required

Candidates should have aggregate marks of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics together. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects and Chemistry is optional subject.

KEAM Application Form 2020

Candidates seeking admission in B.Tech courses were able to access the KEAM 2020 application form through the official website from February 1 to 29. Candidates also had to upload all the relevant documents and scanned images before the last date. Candidates were required to keep all the required documents ready before filling the application form like scanned images of photograph, signature and pdf file of birth certificate and other relevant documents. While filling the KEAM application form 2020, candidates had to complete steps like registration, form filling, payment of fees, uploading of documents and printing confirmation page. How to Fill KEAM 2020 Application Form?

Step 1 – KEAM Registration: In the first step, the candidates had to register by entering basic details like name, date of birth, mobile number, email along with creating a password. KEAM 2020 application number was generated on successful registration.

Step 2 – Filling Up the Application Form: After registration, candidates were required to enter all of the required personal, academic and communication details. Since no modifications were accepted after final submission, the candidates were advised to check the details once before submitting it.

Step 3 – Payment of Fee: Next, the candidates had to pay the application fee through online mode (net banking/credit card/debit card) or e-challan.

Step 5 – Print Confirmation Page: Finally, Candidates had to take a print of the confirmation page for future reference.

KEAM Syllabus 2020

Knowledge of syllabus of any entrance exam is the first step towards preparation. Thus, candidates must check the KEAM 2020 syllabus beforehand. KEAM Sample Papers 2020

Candidates should note that the authorities does not release any official KEAM 2020 sample papers. However if released, it will be updated here in this article. KEAM sample papers will consist of the questions based on the actual pattern of the entrance examination. Using the sample papers, candidates will be able to practice for KEAM 2020 and know the status of their preparation. Practicing more and more KEAM sample papers will also help the candidates to know about their stronger and weaker areas.

KEAM Admit Card 2020

The authorities will release KEAM 2020 admit card on April 10 in online mode. Registered candidates will be able to access the admit card through KEAM login. Details regarding the examination centre address, timings and more will be available in the admit card. Since it is an important document to be carried to the examination centre, the admit card has to be printed out and kept safely for future use.

How to Download KEAM 2020 Admit Card?

  • Go to the official website of KEAM 2020

  • Click on the admit card link

  • Enter application number and password

  • Click on “Submit”

  • KEAM admit card will be displayed on the screen .

  • Check all details.

  • Download the admit card and take a print of it for future use.

Candidates can also download KEAM admit card through designated facilitation centres.

KEAM Answer Key 2020

The authorities will release the provisional answer key of KEAM 2020 after the conclusion of the entrance examination. KEAM 2020 answer key will contain the correct answers to all of the questions of the examination. Candidates will also be able to challenge the provisional answer key by paying Rs 100 per question. The payment has to be done through DD in favour of CEE, payable at Thiruvananthapuram, within 5 days from the date of publication of the answer keys on the website of the CEE. Candidates will also be required to submit relevant documents to support their challenges. The authorities will then release the final answer key after considering the objections, if any. Also, the authorities will refund the fee charged for challenge if it is accepted.

KEAM Result 2020

Candidates will be able to check KEAM 2020 result on or before May 25. The authorities will release the result online and no other mode will be used to alert the candidates about their scores. To check the result, the candidates will have to login to candidate portal. It must be noted that KEAM result will not be declared for those candidates who score less than 10 marks in each paper.

KEAM Rank List 2020

Candidates will be able to check the KEAM 2020 rank list in online mode on or before June 20. The authorities will prepare KEAM rank list 2020 on the basis of 12th standard marks for Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics put together and KEAM scores. Equal weightage (50:50) will be given to both scores of the candidates while preparing the rank list. Therefore, all candidates will have to submit their 12th standard mark sheet before the final date allotted by the authorities. The shortlisted candidates will be able to participate in KEAM 2020 counselling and seat allotment procedure.

KEAM Cutoff 2020

The minimum required ranks to have higher chances of admissions into the participating institutes will form KEAM 2020 cutoff. Candidates will be able to check the opening and closing ranks through the KEAM cutoff. The authorities will prepare the cutoff by considering various factors such as previous year cutoff trends, difficulty level of exam, number of applicants and more. It should be noted that KEAM cutoff 2020 will be different for each category, course and institute.

KEAM Counselling 2020

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of rank list will be able to participate in KEAM 2020 counselling. The authorities will commence the counselling process tentatively in the fourth week of June, 2020. All of the qualified candidates will firstly have to register for KEAM counselling in order to participate in the process. After which candidates will be required fill their preferred choices of colleges and courses in online mode.

KEAM Seat Allotment 2020

Once the choice filling is completed, the authorities will conduct the KEAM 2020 seat allotment through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). The authorities will conduct three rounds of allotment along with a trial and mop up round.

  • It should be noted that the authorities will first conduct a trial seat allotment round.
  • After this trial seat allotment, actual rounds of allotment will be conducted. Candidates will be allowed to make changes in their filled choices for final seat allotment.
  • The authorities will release the KEAM seat allotment result in online mode and the selected candidates will have to download their allotment memo.
  • The seats will be allotted on the basis of secured ranks, preferences and availability of seats.
  • Candidates who have been allotted seats will have to pay the required fee in online mode or at the nearest head post office.
  • Candidates will also have to report to the allotted institutes for the verification of documents and payment of tuition fees.

Frequently Asked Question (FAQs) - KEAM 2020

Question: Is KEAM only for engineering?

Answer:

No. KEAM is for many courses like engineering, pharmacy, architecture, medical programmes to name a few. However the entrance test is only for engineering and pharmacy. Architecture and medical admissions are through NATA and NEET UG respectively.

Question: Is KEAM 2020 online?

Answer:

No. KEAM 2020 is still a pen and paper based exam which will be held at 18 cities including Dubai.

Question: How many students appear for KEAM?

Answer:

KEAM saw 73437 students appearing for both Paper I and II in 2019. It would be somewhere around this figure.

Question: Is KEAM 2020 Application an online process?

Answer:

Yes. It is completely online and conducted by the CEE, Kerala. Candidates have to register and fill the application form online only. However, documents as specified must be sent to the office of CEE by the given deadline.

Yes, in a way it is.  It is actually better to submit as you don't lose anything by submitting. In fact, if the college or the authorities announce any scholarships or concessions, you can only avail them if the income certificate is submitted and you are eligible. You will lose the chance if you are eligible and have not submitted the certificate.

Question: How to correct any mistakes in application form of KEAM?

Answer:

CEE will open a window for the same and issue a memo with a timeline before which the corrections must be made. Use that to correct the same.

Question: Will there be a common counselling for KEAM for all courses?

Answer:

No. counselling will be separate for the courses as per the stream.

Question: Can a student be in more than one rank lists?

Answer:

Yes. if a student has applied for more than one course, they will be listed in the rank list if they have qualified in the same.

As per the latest update, NTA is not releasing NEET Admit Card 2020 on 27th March, as scheduled. Due to 21 Days of Lockdown in India, it is expected that NEET exam can also be postponed. Any further update will be announced on 14th April only.

Is attending KEAM a better choice than AEEE??

AEEE is a university-level exam conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, for admission to its four-year B.Tech programmes.
Where as KEAM is a state level entrance exam conducted for admissions into B.Tech/B,Pharma/B.Arch courses offered by the participating institutes in the state of kerala and there are over 150 participating institutes.

So, i would suggest you to appear for KEAM because it will give you more options of colleges and it is also a state level exam.

For getting admission in Bachelor in Audiology and Speech - Language Pathology (BASLP) course, you will have to appear in NEET entrance exam.
You can apply in KEAM and you can use your NEET scorecard to get admission in college under KEAM.
