KEAM 2020 Application Form Started Now

KEAM 2020 - The Commissioner of Examination, Govt of Kerala has released the KEAM application form on February 1 and the last date to fill it is February 25. CEE, Kerala will conduct the KEAM 2020 on April 20 and 21 for admission in B.Tech courses into the participating institutes of the state. KEAM 2020 will be held for the two papers – Paper 1 (Physics & Chemistry) and Paper 2 (Mathematics). Only the registered candidates will be able to access the admit card of KEAM 2020 from April 10. KEAM result 2020 will be declared on or before May 25. Admissions will be done on the basis of merit which will be prepared by giving equal weightage to 12th standard and KEAM scores. The selected course and institute preferences will also be checked during allotment. Three rounds of allotment will be held by the authorities for KEAM 2020. KEAM Eligibility Criteria 2020

The eligibility criteria of KEAM 2020 has been released by the authorities and candidates are advised to check it before registration. The conditions and requirements which the candidates need to fulfil for admissions will be listed out in the eligibility criteria. If the candidates fail to meet the criteria, then they will likely be rejected from the allotment process.

Age

Candidates are required to be 17 years old as on December 31, 2020. There is no upper age limit.

Nationality

Candidates should have Indian nationality. However, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) will also be considered eligible for KEAM 2020.

Domicile

In KEAM, the candidates will be categorized as Keralite, Non-Keralite I (NK I) an Non-Keralite II (NK II). Certain documents have to be submitted to prove domicile.

Academic Qualifications

Should have passed Higher Secondary Examination of Kerala or equivalent exam from a recognized board.

Marks Required

Candidates should be scored 50% marks in Mathematics separately an aggregate marks of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics together.

KEAM Application Form 2020

CEE Kerala has released the application form of KEAM 2020 on February 1. The candidates will be able to access the application form only in online mode. While filling the application form, the candidates will have to provide valid personal, educational and contact information. The final date to submit the application form is February 25, 2020.

How to Fill KEAM 2020 Application Form?

Step 1 – Registration: In the first step, the candidates will have to register after which the application number will be generated. Password also has to be created by the candidates.

Step 2 – Filling Up the Application Form: All of the required personal, academic and communication details have to be provided by the candidates. Since no modifications will be accepted after final submission, the candidates are advised to check the details once before submitting it.

Step 3 – Payment of Fee: Next, the candidates will have to pay the application fee through online mode (net banking/credit card/debit card) or e-challan.

Step 4 – Uploading of Scanned Images: Recent scanned photograph and signature of the candidates as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities have to be uploaded.

Step 5 – Print Confirmation Page: Finally, the confirmation page has to be printed out by the candidates.

KEAM Exam Centres 2020

While filling out the application form, the candidates will also be required to select their choice of KEAM 2020 exam centres. The venues where the entrance examination will be conducted will constitute the exam centres. KEAM Syllabus 2020

CEE Kerala has released the official syllabus of KEAM 2020. Candidates are requested to check the syllabus before commencing the preparation for the entrance examination to be aware of which topics have to be studied. The syllabus will consist of units and chapters from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The authorities will prepare the question paper on the basis of the syllabus; therefore the candidates should refer to it to boost their preparation.

KEAM Exam Pattern 2020

The exam pattern of KEAM 2020 will consist of the particulars regarding how the entrance examination will be conducted. Details regarding the mode, duration, type of questions, marking scheme and more will be present in the exam pattern. KEAM Sample Papers 2020

The official sample papers of KEAM 2020 will not be released officially by the authorities. However if released, it will be updated in this article. The sample papers will consist of the questions which might be asked in the entrance examination. Using the sample papers, the candidates will be able to practice for KEAM 2020 and know the current preparation status. The sample papers will also allow the candidates to practically apply whatever they have studied for the examination.

KEAM Admit Card 2020

The admit card of KEAM 2020 will be released on April 10 in online mode. Registered candidates will be able to access the admit card by logging in using the required credentials. Details regarding the examination centre address, timings and more will be available in the admit card. Since it is an important document to be carried to the examination centre, the admit card has to be printed out and kept safely for future use.

How to Download KEAM 2020 Admit Card?

  • Go to the official website of KEAM 2020

  • Click on the admit card link

  • Candidates will have to provide application number and password

  • Click on “Submit”

  • The admit card will be displayed on the screen and all details have to be checked for any discrepancies.

  • The candidates will have to download and print out the admit card for future use.

KEAM Answer Key 2020

After the conclusion of the entrance examination, the provisional answer key of KEAM 2020 will be released by the authorities. The correct answers to all of the questions of the examination will be present in the answer key. Candidates will be able to challenge the provisional answer key. After checking all of the objections, the final answer key will be released in online mode.

KEAM Result 2020

Candidates will be able to check the result of KEAM 2020 on or before May 25. The authorities will release the result online and no other mode will be used to alert the candidates about their scores. To check the result, the candidates will have to log into their account. The result will not be declared for those candidates who score less than 10 marks in each paper.

KEAM Rank List 2020

The rank list of KEAM 2020 will be prepared on the basis of 12th standard and KEAM scores. Equal weightage will be given to both scores by the candidates. Therefore, all candidates will have to submit their 12th standard scores before the final date allotted by the authorities. The rank list will be released in online mode and the listed candidates will be able to participate in the counselling and seat allotment procedure of KEAM 2020.

KEAM Cutoff 2020

The minimum required ranks to have higher chances of admissions into the participating institutes will constitute the cutoff of KEAM 2020. Candidates will be able to check the opening and closing ranks through the released cutoff. The authorities will prepare the cutoff by checking various details related to the entrance examination such as previous year cutoff trends, difficulty level of exam, number of applicants and more. It should be noted that the cutoff will be different for each category, course and institute.

KEAM Counselling 2020

Candidates listed on the rank list will be able to participate in the counselling of KEAM 2020. All of the qualified candidates will firstly have to fill their preferred choices of colleges and courses in online mode. The candidates will be able to change their choices after the trial allotment is conducted by the authorities.

KEAM Seat Allotment 2020

The authorities will be conducting the seat allotment of KEAM 2020 through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). The seat allotment result will be declared in online mode and the selected candidates will have to download their allotment memo. Candidates will be allotted on the basis of secured ranks, preferences and availability of seats. The allotted candidates will have to pay the required fee in online mode or at the nearest head post office. Reporting to the allotted institutes also has to be done for the verification of documents and payment of tuition fees. Three rounds of allotment will be conducted by the authorities along with a trial and mop up round.

Question: Is KEAM only for engineering?

Answer:

No. KEAM is for many courses like engineering, pharmacy, architecture, medical programmes to name a few. However the entrance test is only for engineering and pharmacy. Architecture and medical admissions are through NATA and NEET UG respectively.

Question: Should I complete the steps of applying for KEAM 2020 in one go? Is this mandatory?

Answer:

No. You can save the details and complete filling the KEAM application in stages. The only thing to keep in mind is that you should complete it by February 25.

Question: If I wish to apply for KEAM for Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy, should I fill separate applications?

Answer:

No. You should fill only one application form for all these courses and indicate your preferences there.

Question: Will income certificates from other states be allowed in the KEAM application form?

Answer:

No. It will not be considered unless its from Kerala.

Question: Is is mandatory to submit the income certificate?

Answer:

Yes, in a way it is.  It is actually better to submit as you dont lose anything by submitting. In fact, if the college or the authorities announce any scholarships or concessions, you can only avail them if the income certificate is submitted and you are eligible. You will lose the chance if you are eligible and have not submitted the certificate.

Question: How to correct any mistakes in application form of KEAM?

Answer:

CEE will open a window for the same and issue a memo with a timeline before which the corrections must be made. Use that to correct the same.

Question: Will there be a common counselling for KEAM for all courses?

Answer:

No. counselling will be separate for the courses as per the stream.

Question: Can a student be in more than one rank lists?

Answer:

Yes. if a student has applied for more than one course, they will be listed in the rank list if they have qualified in the same.
