KCET 2020 Statistics
According to KCET result statistics shared by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, the Physics paper was attended by 1,75,428 candidates (90.23% of those enrolled) while 1,75,337 (90.10%) attended the Chemistry test. The same for Biology and Mathematics, on Thursday, was 79.90% and 91.92% respectively.

If I presume you are in the open category and live in a state other than Karnataka, you can expect to get into college regardless of branch or college rank up to a rank of 25,000.
So if you are applying for open category then with rank of 42,015, it is difficult for you to get a seat in engineering college.
