KCET Reservation Criteria 2019 - KEA, the exam conducting body of Karnataka CET reserves certain seats for the candidates falling in the various categories as per the KCET 2019 reservation criteria. The seats are reserved for special categories candidates including Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), physically disabled, defence categories to name few. This article will help candidates to know more about the reservation criteria of KCET 2019. Candidates applying for the admission to the participating institutes of Karnataka CET can avail the benefit of KCET reservation criteria 2019. Candidates while filling the application form for KCET had to mention their reservation category. Not only this, candidates had to make sure that they have a valid certificate or a document to supports their reservation category. NCC Special Category: By fulfilling the mentioned below criteria, candidates can avail the seat under special category quota for National Cadet Corps (NCC).

Participated in Republic Day camp conducted by NCC Director General of New Delhi from Karnataka or else, candidate should participated in All India Thal Sainik Camp (Boys) – TSC/All India Thal Sainik Camp (Girls) – TSC (G)/All India Nau Sainik Camp – NSC/All India Vayu Sainik Camp – VSC. Apart from this candidate should hold B-certificate, obtained during 5 years of study in Karnataka, between class 8 and 12.
Participated in camps/courses i.e. NIC, Mountaineering, BLC, ALC, RCTC, Trekking, Army, Navy and Air Force & Hospital Attachments and also possess B-Certificate during five years of education in Karnataka
Participating candidates of All India Movalankar Shooting Championship with KAR and GOA Director Team
Participated in All India Mavalankar Shooting Championship, National Level Youth Exchange Program and Foreign Naval Cruise conducted by DG, NCC. Apart from this, candidates who have been selected for DG NCC team and hold B-Certificate obtained during five years of education in Karnataka.
Cadets finally selected as a part of DG NCC team to participate in All India Movalankar Shooting Championship at National Level AND Youth Exchange Programmes and Foreign Naval Cruise organised by DG, NCC.
Sports Special Category: Candidates belonging to this category should fulfil mentioned below criteria.
Candidates who have won national level cups/medals in Super-A Games or B-Games during five years of basic education in Karnataka
Candidates who have won cups and medals in Super-A and B- Games while studying in Karnataka from class 8 and 12 (five years)
Scouts and Guide Special Category: Candidates who have received ‘President’s Award’ as ‘scouts/guides’ during five years of education from Class 8 to 12 in Karnataka falls under this category. It a must for the candidate falling under this category to show “President's Award” certificate at the time document verification with other certificates.
OBC/SC/ST under category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B
Students falling under this category will have to produce caste certificate/caste Income certificate issued by concerned Jurisdictional Tahasildar in accordance with Government Regulations. Candidates need to hold Form ‘D’ in case of ST and ST, Form ‘E’ in case of Category-I, Form ‘F’ in case of OBC like 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B.
To avail the seat under the physically disabled category, candidates need to provide medical/disability certificate. Candidates having at least 40% physical disability can avail seat under this category.
Candidates who have studied in Kannada Medium from Class 1 to 10 standard belongs to this category.
Anglo-Indian Special Category
Candidates belonging to this category will have to produce a certificate issued by Registered Association of Anglo Indian Community of Karnataka and countersigned by Anglo Indian MLA appointed by Government of India at the time of document verification.
Defence Special Category
Son/Daughter of Defence personnel needs to possess Defence Certificate.
Son/Daughter of ex-personnel of Defence services needs to possess Defence Certificate issued by Joint Director/Deputy Director.
Central Armed Police Force/Ex-CAPF
Need to show a certificate issued by CAPF Unit mentioning candidate’ parent declaration that he/she was domicile of Karnataka at the time of joining CAPF service, during the document verification.
Candidates who have completed 10 years of basic education in rural areas/small urban areas/transitional areas as mentioned Municipal Corporation of Karnataka under Karnataka Municipalities Act. 1964 and Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976, fall under this category.
All candidates including General category candidates are eligible for admissions under Supernumerary quota, it just that they need to provide income certificate issued by concerned Tahasildar.
Jammu and Kashmiri Migrants
Son/Daughter of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants can claim seats under Jammu and Kashmiri Migrants quota.
Candidates who are local persons of areas/districts including Bidar, Gulbarga, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal and Bellaryare can claim seat under this category. Candidate needs to provide relevant eligibility certificate issued by the concerned Assistant Commissioner.
