KCET 2019: Karnataka Examination Authority(KEA) will conduct Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2019 in offline mode on April 29 and 30. KCET is a state level entrance test conducted to invite admissions into various B.Tech programmes offered by government and private institutions of Karnataka. Eligible candidates were able to apply for KCET 2019 from February 1 to March 20 in online mode. Candidates preparing for KCET 2019 should ensure that they are well familiar with the syllabus and exam pattern so that they can have a smooth planning of preparation. Previous year exam analysis of KCET
In 2018, KCET was conducted offline on April 18 and 19. According to the students who appeared in KCET found the difficulty level to be moderate. The result was declared on June 1. Sridhar Doddamani secured rank 1. The second position was clinched by Narayana Pai from Dakshina Kannada. In 2018, more number of girls (73,197) qualified in the exam than boys (72, 866) in KCET. Make a study plan: To ensure a position in good scorers of KCET a student must prepare a study plan according to his/ her strengths and weaknesses.
Start Preparing before it is too late: A student preparing for KCET 2019 should make sure that timely preparation is started to avoid rush during the eleventh hour.
Make notes: The study method of making notes can prove to be fruitful in terms of achieving success.
Revision: Be consistent and revise regularly.
Practice: Practise sample papers and previous year papers to get better results.
Stay motivated: A student must not let himself/ herself get demotivated. Eating healthy and staying motivated is necessary to prepare well for any exam.

KCET 2018 topper Debarsho Sannyasi (Rank 3): “Practising from previous years papers is the best method of preparation. Through them we come to know about the pattern, difficulty of questions and learn to manage time accordingly. I think in my case having good exam temperament, preparation and time management worked a lot. I think KCET is all about speed and exam temperament. Improve them first by more and more practice strictly in the stipulated time. Don’t panic in between exams. Lastly, I would like to say all the very best to all the future aspirants.”

Students should solve all the previous year KCET 2019 sample papers within the stipulated time as a test and analyse their performance after every test.
Timely revision of concepts is much more important than learning new things
Students need to make a balance between revising what they have been taught as well as learning new concepts.
Students should stop studying anything new around two-three months before the examination and should focus only on revision and testing.
