KCET 2019 – Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced that KCET 2019 will be conducted on April 23 and 24. KCET 2019 may be conducted in online mode from this year. However, authorities have not yet released any official notification regarding same. As soon as the notification is released, the same will be updated here. Candidates will be able to register for KCET 2019 tentatively from the first week of February to the third week of March. KCET 2019 will be held for admissions into the participating engineering colleges of the state. The examination will be conducted for two papers – Paper I (Mathematics) and Paper II (Physics & Chemistry). Based on the scores secured in KCET, the candidates will be allotted seats into the institutes. Registered candidates will be able to access their KCET 2019 admit card tentatively in the first week of April. During counselling, the candidates will have to verify their documents before the option entry and confirmation process. Seat allotment will be done in online mode on the basis of the candidates’ performance in KCET 2019 and selected choices of college and course. KCET Eligibility Criteria 2019

All candidates are required to meet certain eligibility criteria of KCET 2019 for admissions into the participating institutes. The criteria will consists of certain requirements related to the candidates’ age, scores and more. If the candidates do not meet the criteria, then there are chances of his application form getting rejected.

KCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality – The candidates must be of Indian nationality

  • Domicile – Should have studied and passed from a recognized institutes in Karnataka for a minimum of 7 years (from 1st standard to 2nd PUC/12th standard) as on July 1, 2019.

  • Academic Qualification – The candidates should have passed 12th standard examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the following – Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/Computer. Should have also studied English.

  • Marks Required – The candidates should have secured atleast 45% aggregate marks in the three subjects in 12th standard examination. SC/ST/OBC candidates should have scored atleast 40%.

KCET Application Form 2019

The application form of KCET 2019 will be released by KEA in online mode tentatively from the first week of February to the third week of March. Candidates will have to fill the application form according to the information required. It has to be remembered that the details filled has to be valid. Incomplete or incorrect application form will be rejected. Before filling the KCET 2019 application form, the candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria. 

Steps to Fill KCET 2019 Application Form

Step 1 – Registration: Firstly, the candidates will have to register after selecting their nationality and school board. The 13 digit “Student Number” PUE Department has to be submitted by the candidates. Personal details such as name, parent’s name, date of birth, email id, mobile number and more also have to be provided for registration. After registration, the application number and password will be sent to the candidates.

Step 2- Filling of KCET 2019 Application Form: Using the application number and password, the candidates will have to log in and fill the application form of KCET 2019. Personal, academic and contact information has to be submitted.

Step 3 – Uploading of Scanned Documents: The signature, photograph and left thumb impression of the candidate has to be scanned and uploaded as per the specifications mentioned by the authorities. The candidates’ parent’s left thumb impression also has to be uploaded.

Step 4 – Payment of Application Fee: Candidates will have to pay the application fee through online (net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline mode (e-challan).

Step 5 – Submission and Print out of Application Form: Finally, after reviewing their provided information, the candidates will have to submit the application form and take a print out. The print out has to be attested by Principal of 12th standard of the institute/school/college that the candidate is currently studying at or by any Gazetted Officer.

KCET Exam Centres 2019

The exam centres of KCET 2019 are the places where the entrance examination will be conducted by the authorities. While filling the application form, the candidates will have to select their preferred exam cities. Allotment of exam centre will be done according to the preferred exam city and availability of the centre. Details about the exam centre will be present in the admit card. An exam city may have multiple KCET 2019 exam centres. For the previous session, there were 53 exam cities involved in the examination.

KCET Exam Pattern 2019

While preparing for the examination, the candidates are advised to check the exam pattern of KCET 2019. Through the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to get familiar with how the examination is conducted. Details about the mode of exam, type of questions asked, marking scheme and more will be made available in the KCET 2019 exam pattern. Using the exam pattern, the candidates will be able to be prepare well for the examination.

KCET Syllabus 2019

By referring to the syllabus of KCET 2019, the candidates will be able to set up their schedule for preparation. Understanding which topics and chapters have to be studied for the examination can help the candidates prepare well for the examination. KCET 2019 syllabus will be the same as the syllabus of First and Second Pre-University Course (PUC) as specified by Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State. The candidates can expect the topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to be present in the syllabus. 

KCET Sample Papers 2019

Using the sample papers of KCET 2019, the candidates will able to practically apply whatever they have studied for the examination. The sample papers will replicate the exam pattern of KCET 2019 or consist of the previous year question papers. By practicing using the sample papers, the candidates will have a clearer concept about the paper pattern, division of topics and more. Time management can also be practiced by the candidates using the sample papers. 

KCET Admit Card 2019

KEA will be releasing the admit card of KCET 2019 tentatively in the first week of April. Registered candidates will be able to access their admit card in online mode. KCET 2019 admit card is an important document which has to be kept safely and produced at the examination venue. Failure to produce the admit card will lead to candidate’s inability to attempt the examination. Various information such as the exam centre address, timings and more will be present in the admit card.

 

Steps to access KCET 2019 Admit Card

  • The candidates will have to submit their KCET 2019 application number and date of birth.

  • Click on Submit

  • The candidates will have to check all of the details present in the admit card for discrepancies.

  • Download and print out the admit card

KCET Answer Key 2019

All of the correct answers to the questions asked in the examination will be released through the answer key of KCET 2019 tentatively in the fourth week of April. Using the answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate their scores after comparing their responses to the correct answers as released by the authorities. A certain period of time will also be provided to the candidates to raise objections against the answer key with valid proof. The objections will be considered by the authorities and the final KCET 2019 answer key will be declared.

 

KCET Result 2019

The result of KCET 2019 will be announced tentatively in the first week of June by KEA. The candidates will be able to access the result in online mode. Details of the candidates’ performance in the examination i.e., their secured scores and ranks will be present in the KCET 2019 result. Allotment of seats will be done according to the individual result of the candidates.

 

Procedure to Check KCET 2019 Result

  • Candidates will have to provide their KCET 2019 registration number

  • Click on “Submit”

  • The result of KCET 2019 will be displayed on the screen

  • The candidates will have to download and print out the result.

KCET Cutoff 2019

The authorities will determine the cutoff of KCET 2019 after considering many factors related to the examination. KCET 2019 cutoff will act as a screening process and will consist of minimum marks required to have higher chances for admissions into the participating institutes. The cutoff will be different as per the category, course and college selected by the candidates.

 

KCET Counselling 2019

The candidates will be conducting the counselling of KCET 2019 in offline mode. Firstly, the candidates will have to verify their documents tentatively from the second week of June. After verification, the candidates will have to fill and lock their choices of courses and colleges. Filling of choices has to be done according to the preference of the candidates. After the mock allotment, the candidates will also have to provision to modify their choices.

 

KCET Seat Allotment 2019

The seat allotment of KCET 2019 will be announced in online mode tentatively in the third week of July. Allotment of candidates will be done according to ranks secured by the candidates along with the selected preferences and availability of seats. All of the candidates who are allotted seats will have to visit their allotted institutes for document verification. KEA will be conducting the seat allotment process in two rounds along with an additional extended round. Payment of required fees has to be done by the candidates for confirmation of admission.

 

KCET Participating Institutes 2019

Admissions into the participating institutes of KCET 2019 will be done on the basis of the candidates’ performance in the examination. Around 220 government colleges/private aided/private un-aided/institutes of Karnataka will be participating in the examination of KCET 2019.
