KCET 2018 - Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended KCET application form 2018 dates. Candidates can now fill the application form of KCET 2018 and pay the fee from March 15 to 22. Earlier, the last date for application filling of KCET 2018 was March 8. KEA will conduct KCET 2018 in offline mode on April 18-19. KCET 2018 will be conducted separately for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology on two alternate days. It is important to note that Horanadu, Gadinadu and Kannadiga category candidates can take up KCET 2018 in Kannada language at the Bangalore centre only on April 20. The state level engineering entrance exam will be conducted for admission to various B.Tech programmes offered by government and private institutions of Karnataka. The eligibility criteria of KCET 2018 define certain parameters on the basis of which candidates can take up the entrance exam. If the candidate does not fit in the prescribed KCET 2018 eligibility criteria, then he or she will be not allowed to appear in the exam. The eligibility criteria of KCET 2018 is different for different categories, whereas the citizenship criteria will be same for all the candidates i.e. Indian.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 level qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and English as a language subject.
Candidates must have studied Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology as an elective subject in class XII.
Candidates must have obtained minimum 45% aggregate scores in class 10+2, if belonging to General Category.
For Reserved Category i.e. SC, ST Category I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), candidates need to have secured minimum 40% marks.
- Candidates aspiring to take admission in the architecture courses will have to appear in the JEE Paper 2 entrance exam or in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) which is conducted by Council of Architecture.
