KCET 2018

KCETKCET 2018 - Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced the result of first round allotment of KCET 2018. Candidates can now check their allotment status after submitting their CET number. The choice filling process was open till July 15, 2018. KCET 2018 result was released in online mode on June 1; the exam was topped by Shridhar Dodamani. The examination of KCET 2018 was held in offline mode on April 18-19. A total of  1,85,418 candidates applied for KCET 2017 entrance exam, with 1,78,959 appearing in the exam, out of which 125860 qualified in it, according to the official data. On February 24, 2018, the Karnataka High Court has passed an interim order for KEA to allow candidates holding Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card to apply for the examination process. KCET Seat Allotment 2018

 

The first seat allotment of KCET 2018 has been announced. The selected candidates are allotted seats in the seat allotment procedure of KCET 2018 on their ranking in the merit list and selection of college and courses during counselling. Selected candidates will have to visit the allotted institute for reporting along with necessary documents for the purpose of verification. KCET 2018 seat allotment is being conducted in two or more rounds depending on the candidates. The mock seat allotment was announced on July 17, 2018.

 

KCET Counselling 2018

'The option entry process of KCET 2018 Counselling has ended. The candidates could fill their choice of colleges and courses till July 15, 2018. Selection should have been done in the order of preference. The mock allotment has been announced on July 16 and the candidates will be able to change their choices after checking the mock result. The seat allotment will be published on July 19, 2018. Document verification had started from June 12 onwards for all candidates who qualified in KCET. The counselling of KCET 2018 is being conducted by KEA in offline mode for all the qualified candidates of the entrance exam had been postponed from June 5. Candidates have been invited for KCET 2018 counselling on the basis of their merit and preference of the college and course for document verification and seat allotment procedure.

 

 

KCET Result 2018

 

The result of Karnataka CET (KCET) 2018 has been released by KEA in online mode for all the candidates who appeared in the exam on June 1. KCET Answer Key 2018

 

The provisional answer key of KCET 2018 has been released by the authorities for candidates who have appeared in the entrance exam. With the help of provisional answer key of KCET 2018 candidates can check their answers with the ones provided by the experts. In case, candidates raise objections with valid proof against answers provided in the provisional answer key, then the admission committee will take consider and then release the final answer key for candidates. KCET Cutoff 2018

 

The cutoff of KCET 2018 will be the minimum marks required for admission to institutes of Karnataka offering admissions to B.Tech programmes. The admit card of KCET 2018 was released by the authorities of KEA in online mode, on April 6, 2018 for all the candidates who have successfully submitted their applications. Candidates could download their admit card of KCET 2018 till April 15. KCET 2018 Admit Card carried details like candidate's name, roll number, photograph, signature, exam date, time, venue and instructions. Therefore, it is important for candidates to carry their Karnataka CET (KCET) 2018 admit card to the examination hall.

KCET Eligibility Criteria 2018

 

The eligibility criteria of KCET 2018 defined certain parameters on the basis of which candidates can take up the entrance exam. If the candidate does not fit in the prescribed KCET 2018 eligibility criteria, then he or she will be not allowed to appear in the exam. The eligibility criteria of KCET 2018 is different for different categories, whereas the citizenship criteria will be same for all the candidates i.e. Indian.

 

KCET eligibility criteria 2018 has been divided into categories and each category candidate has to have some necessary documents as a proof of his or her eligibility. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for Karnataka CET 2018 as given below.

  •  Candidates must have passed 10+2 level qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects and English as a language subject.

  • Candidates must have studied Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology as an elective subject in class XII.

  • Candidates must have obtained minimum 45% aggregate scores in class 10+2, if belonging to General Category.

  • For Reserved Category i.e. SC, ST Category I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), candidates need to have secured minimum 40% marks.

  • Candidates aspiring to take admission in the architecture courses will have to appear in the JEE Paper 2 entrance exam or in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) which is conducted by Council of Architecture.  

KCET Application Form 2018

 

The application form of KCET 2018 is over now. KEA had released KCET 2018 application form in online mode on February 1. Candidates who have successfully filled the application form, were able to make corrections from March 27-31.

 

Procedure to Fill KCET 2018 Application Form

  • Click on the link given to register online for KCET 2018.

  • Choose a password for login.

  • Enter personal details like contact number, date of birth, valid email ID and parents details.

  • Upload scanned copies of recent photograph, signature and left thumb impression as per the specifications.

  • Submit the application fee via State Bank of Hyderabad, Indian Bank, State Bank of Mysore or e-post office.

  • Submit the application form and take a print out of the same. It's better to get it signed by parents/ guardian and principal (of their school or college) or Gazetted Officer for future reference
