Karnataka CET (KCET) Seat Allotment 2017 - The seat allotment result of KCET 2017 Casual Round has been declared on August 8. Candidates can login to download their allotment /admission letter till August 10. Candidates must report to the allotted college by August 10, 2017. Candidates who exercised Choice 1 in Round I and Round II and reported at the allotted institute cannot apply to extended round. Candidates who cancelled allotted seats can't apply. All other eligible candidates can apply to Round II extended seat allotment. In extended round candidates can enter options afresh. The counselling and seat allotment process provide candidates admission to various participating engineering institutes of the state of Karnataka. Karnataka CET (KCET) 2017 seat allotment takes place in an online mode. The selected candidates are allotted seats based on their ranking in the merit list and selection of college and courses during counselling. The process of KCET Seat Allotment 2017 is a part of the counselling process. All of the candidates who wish to participate in the seat allotment process have to qualify the entrance examination, which was held on May 2 and May 3, 2017 with the necessary marks.

Karnataka CET Seat Allotment 2017
After the successful registration of the applicants and choice locking, the procedure of seat allotment of Karnataka CET 2017 will commence. The applicants will be allotted as per their category, ranking, preference of colleges and courses and availability of seats. The result of the second of seat allotment of Karnataka CET 2017 was announced on July 17, 2017.
KCET 2017 Seat Allotment
First Phase: The allotment of seats is done in online mode. If the applicant who is allotted seats in the first round are also allotted in the second round, then the first round allotment will get cancelled. As soon as the last seat and rank are allotted, the seat allotment process ends.
Second Phase: The same process as the first phase is followed. If, after the conclusion of the first round there are still unfilled seats left under Rural and Kannada Medium quota reserved categories then it will be converted into the General reserved categories. The list of conversion is given in the table below. The second round of seat allotment of Karnataka CET 2017 was announced on July 17, 2017.
Third Phase: The remaining unfilled seats under General reserved categories, with reserved special category seats, will be converted to the General merit category and will be offered to the applicants of that category.
Choices to be filled after First Round of KCET Seat Allotment 2017
Candidates who get allotted in the first round of seat allotment were able to select their choice from the options provided below. If the candidate didn't select any of the choices then his/her allotment will get cancelled.
Choice 1: If the candidate is satisfied with the allotted institute then he/she will have to download the Challan and pay the tuition fees at the nearest bank. The admission order can be downloaded from the website after payment.
How to make the payment?
Candidates can download the Echallan in Triplicate and pay at the nearest bank (the list of banks are specified)
The details of the candidate will be pre-printed, such as Name, CET No, College / Course Allotted details, Fee to be paid, Bank Account Number. Candidate has to confirm the printed details and affix their signature on the Challan.
After downloading the e-Challan, the candidate must pay the prescribed fee in any nearest branch of the Bank selected by them.
After successful payment, the Candidate Copy and College's copy will be returned and the bank copy retained by the bank officials.
Candidates are able to download the Admission Order.
Through NEFT / RTGS / IMPS:
Candidates can otherwise download the NEFT / RTGS / IMPS Challan from the KEA website which is also in Triplicate
They must pay the fees online through NEFT / RTGS / IMPS
After two hours of making the payment they can download their admission order
Through online payment gateway through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking
Candidates can immediately download their admission order if the payment is successful
After downloading the Admission Order, candidates must print the same and affix the signature on both the copies of the Admission Order (Candidate Copy and College Copy).
They must report to the College, with the college copy of the admission order and Challan along with the Original Documents on or before the date mentioned in the Admission Order.
Important: Candidates must retain their copy of the Admission Order and Bank Challan for future reference)
After completing their reporting formalities, candidates must log-on to KEA Portal and enter the college reporting details.
Choice 2: If the applicant is satisfied with the allotted seat but also wishes to participate in the next round of counselling for higher options. If the applicant is not allotted in the next round, his/her allotted seat in the first round will still be available.
Guidelines for choice 2:
Candidates exercising choice 2 should not pay the fees for the allotted seat in the first round.
They should neither download the admission order nor report to the allotted college.
If higher order options are allotted to them in the second round, the earlier seat will automatically stand cancelled.
However if they are not allotted a seat from their Higher Order Options, then the seat allotted to them in the first round will remain with them
What does Higher order options mean?
Suppose a candidate has entered 180 options and the seat allotted is the priority number 123 in the first round, then the priority number 1 to 122 are the higher order options.
Choice 3: If the candidate is not satisfied with the allotment and wishes to participate in the next round with the same entered options, he/she has to exercise choice 3.
Guidelines for Choice 3:
Candidates who exercise Choice-3 should not pay the admission fee for the allotted seat in the first round.
They are indicating that they are participating in the second round by rejecting the seat allotted to them in the first round
Choice 4: If the applicant is not satisfied with the seat and has got a seat elsewhere.
Guidelines for Choice 4:
By indicating choice 4, candidates are quitting the Karnataka CET 2017 counselling and seat allotment process.
Such candidates will not be considered for allotment of seats in any of the further rounds.
Such candidates will have no claim on the allotted seat.
Second Round of KCET Seat Allotment 2017
The unfilled/surrendered/cancelled/fortified or newly added applicants will be allotted seats in the second round.
Those applicants who chose Choice 2 and 3 in the first round will also be eligible for admission.
The allotment process will be the same as the first round.

Extended Second Round of KCET 2017 Seat Allotment
The eligibility of the applicants participating in this round will be the same as the second round.
If the applicants are not allotted in this round then the seats allotted to them in the previous round will get confirmed.
The applicants will also be allowed to modify/alter/re-order their priority of options.
The applicants will have no choice to exercise in this round.
Withdrawal of Allotted Seats
If the applicant who was allotted during the first or second round of allotment and will report to the college, wishes to surrender/cancel the seat before the second extended round, then a processing fee of Rs. 5000 will be deducted and the remaining fees will be returned.
The entire fee will be forfeited if the applicant who was allotted seats surrenders the seat during and after the completion of the second extended round.
If the applicant fails to return the original admission order, bank challan, green card and verification slip, then he/she will not be allowed to surrender or cancel the seats.
If the applicant reports for admission and later leaves the college, then he/she will have to surrender the seat back to KEA. The admission committee will have to check that the Government Quota Seats will be available to all the meritorious applicants.

Karnataka CET Counselling 2017
During the counselling session of Karnataka CET 2017, the qualified applicants will have to visit the Helpline Centres and successfully register themselves for the process. Verification of documents will also have to be done, following which the qualified applicants will be given a User ID, Password and Unique Keyword. The applicants will have to log in with the given credentials and select their preferred colleges and courses. There is no limit to the number of colleges and courses which can be selected for the allotment procedure.KEA has announced the supplementary rank list.
