Karnataka CET (KCET) 2013 Result has been declared by the KEA on May 28, 2013 at 6 pm. The Results will be dislayed on the KEA website. Students who have secured the specified percentge in the core subjects of the qualifying exam will feature in the merit list irrespective of the marks secured in the common entrance test.

Karnataka CET 2013 Result:

  • The Results for the KCET 2013 has been published on May 28, 2013 at 6 pm.

  • Students who secure a minimum of 45% in their 10+2 core subjects in aggregate (40% for SC/ST) will feature in the merit list rankings.

  • Students must meet the above eligibility criteria irrespective of the Karnataka CET 2013 scores.


Karnataka CET 2013 Merit Ranking:

The merit ranking is determined on the basis of the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in  KCET 2013.

  • In case two or more candidates have equal marks:

  • Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics will be ranked higher than the others.

  • For Candidates with equal marks in Mathematics, the interse merit shall be determined on the basis of the marks obtained in Physics.

  • In case the marks in Physics are same, the interse merit shall be decided on the basis of the marks of the said subjects in the qualifying exam (Class XI).

  • In case the Class XII marks are the same, the older candidate on the basis of date of birth will be ranked higher than the others.

should a pcmb student who writes kcet to go to engineering write biology in kcet??

Hi Aqeel,

If you are interested in taking admission in Engineering than why would you be writing biology in the KCET Exam. As you have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, so you have to write only these subjects.

Yes, if you are interested in B.Pharma or B.Sc.(Hons.) then you may write biology there.

Which subjects are included to get seat for veterinary through kcet?

For admission in Bachelor of Veterinary Science through KCET examination, the eligibility criteria for appearing in KCET requires a candidate to have 50% marks with Physics,Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects.
The syllabus of KCET includes 60 questions each from PCB and a kannada language test of 50 marks with 50 MCQs.

The cut off for KCET 2019  was 50% for general category candidates and 40% for SC/ST candidates.The cut off is different for different colleges. Separate cut offs are made for Karnataka and Hyderabad- Karnataka candidates.
