JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 2019 - Candidates applying for admission to IIITs, NITs and CFTIs after qualifying JEE Mains and JEE Advanced are advised to refer to eligibility criteria of JoSAA 2019. Candidates applying for admission must meet the qualification and requirements of listed under JoSAA 2019 eligibility criteria. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria of JoSAA 2019 before proceeding with registration part as applications of candidates not meeting eligibility criteria will not be processed any further. Eligibility criteria of JEE Main must be fulfilled to get admission to IIITs, NITs and GFTIs while eligibility criteria of JEE Advanced must be met to get admissions to IITs. JoSAA 2019 eligibility criteria will be different for each mode of admission i.e., JEE Advanced and JEE Main. Even eligibility criteria of JoSAA 2019 for admissions to some of the courses offered by participating institutes will differ. Candidates who wish to participate in admission process must refer to eligibility criteria of JoSAA 2019 to know what set of criteria are to be met to get a seat in desired programme and institute. If any candidates does not meet eligibility criteria of JoSAA 201, they will not be offered admission. JoSAA 2019 eligibility criteria will be different for each course programme and participating institutes offering admissions and candidates will be offered admissions only if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Candidates must have qualified JEE Advanced 2019 entrance examination
Candidates applying for admission through JoSAA must have secured a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in their Class 12th or equivalent examination. Relaxation of 10% will be offered to candidates belonging to reserved categories. Thus, SC/ST/PwD category candidates must have secured at least 65% marks in qualifying examination
Candidates applying for admission must have secured marks higher than the cutoff of JEE Advanced 2019
Admissions to preparatory courses will only be open for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category. These reserved category candidates will have to secure at least 65% marks in Class 12th or equivalent examination
Candidates applying for admission through JEE Main 2019 score must have secured higher marks than the cutoff of JEE Main 2019 for Paper I
Candidates must have qualified Class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of either Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject as optional subject
In order to get admission to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, general category candidates must have secured minimum 75% aggregate marks while reserved category candidates must have secured at least 65% marks
Candidates applying for admission must have qualified JEE Main 2019 Paper II
Candidates needs to have studied Mathematics as one of subjects in Class 12th or equivalent examination
In order to get admissions to IIITs, NITs and GFTIs, candidates belonging to general category needs to have secured at least 75% aggregate marks while candidates belonging to reserved categories needs to have secured a minimum of 65% marks in total of five subjects including Mathematics
In order to get admission into other institutes of various states, eligibility criteria will depend primarily upon admission authorities of individual authorities offering admission. Each institute or state offering admission to candidates will have separate eligibility criteria for admission process.
